I don't see how this is a big deal. I'd atleast one person in a household is into playing online games, no one will even notice there is a pay wall.
Rockstar has no reason to be worried about watchdogs. First of all, outside of bring open world, they have little in common.
Secondly, rockstar is always very innovative, and always pushing forward. They are always one step ahead of the game, and never gets comfortable. It would be tough for Ubisoft to catch up in any sense.
I think a core gamer can look at either console and find plenty to be satisfied with. I can understand why someone who's project is bankrolled by Sony would make such a comment , but it isn't realistic.
Will be plenty of games available at launch, and plenty for the foreseeable future on Xbox, and there is no indication otherwise.

Lol man they weren't using hardware to tell of a game was used. They were using the 24hr DRM check to make sure you were playing a game that you had previously registered. After you installed a game, you wouldn't need the disk anymore.
I think people that try to soon this to mean the return of drm are either dense or have want to stir up additional controversy.
There's simply no logistic way to, or logical reason to reintrofuced drm to disc based purchases mid cycle.
This is very obviously about bringing back the ideas centered around digital distribution ( family sharing, licence trading etc) to digital purchases.
I strongly DOUBT Sony would be able to sustain a 2:1 lead for any significant amount if time. I think even sony would be surprised. First of all, they'd have to ship twice as many consoles as Microsoft during the holiday period, which is frankly, highly unlikely. Then they'd have to fend off the inevitable MS price drops, bundles, and maybe even subsidized cable bundles . Sony will have less flexibility here since MS isn't taking a hit with the hardware costs atm.

I think the answer will lie within the details of respawn's agreement with EA.
They made the mistake of giving Activision control of their IP, and I don't they'll make that kind of mistake again. EA is publishing the title, but they don't own the IP...so they can't just hand porting duties to another developer w/o permission, or force respawn to right ps4 code...
of course, this begs the question, why not have MS publish the title, ala dr3...
Lol why do people keep posting this picture as evidence? You'd be hard pressed to find a developer that didn't have a bunch of game consoles lying around... it doesn't mean they are actively porting a game.

Now (for whatever reason) we are debating whether or not Microsoft should be letting people know that they've done a 180. The truth is Microsoft has two options at this point. If you're playing a serious objective based game, your teammates probably won't be in a cross chat. If they are, it will be one exclusive to you and your teammates, which is useful for cutting out banter from the opposing team.
In the rare event that you have a teammate who is in a cross-chat, you will not hear his conversation. It will appear to you that he is muted, or doesn't have a mic.
What are you talking about? People don't randomly jump in your party... It's friends only or invite only.
Rarely is it mindless chatter, it's mostly used to create a clear channel for you and your teammates (cut out the brats, racists, etc), or in between games to coordinate gaming sessions between people who are playing different games...
Man, what you are describing isn't a typical use case for cross-chat. Generally, it comes in handy when trying to coordinate gaming sessions.

A casual gamer may have heard about xbox one DRM on cnn this summer, and may still be under the impression that the drm is still in place. What pay to win? Even if you have a lot ofmoney, you have to grind through the ranks in order to get the high powered items.
The only way to rank up is by doing a lot of jobs. So the people who earn their money legitimately will be unlocking items at a faster clip than the cheaters anyway.
I probably should have added that nowadays, with shooters, developers disable cross chat for team based game types.
