Are they really? Or are they just acting like its an exclusive and they want people to buy it?
Man I can't wait until these consoles are launched. Then we'd just have people enjoying games on their console(s) of choice, and we can get some actual news instead of clickbait for fanboys arguing over penis size.
@hicken
1) the people at sony were informed, obviously because they've locked the ps4 version at 1080p already.
2) there IS DEFINITELY a problem wit the fact that this isn't locked at 1080p already. When did I suggest there was no problem? But the existence of this problem doesn't change the fact that panella has nothing to announce yet.
3) the negativity IS bad for MS and Activision, but their options are limited. They can either...
Gotta love spin. The more accurate comment would be 'Microsoft hasnt wavered on what comes in the box. If you don't want what comes I the box, the Xbox One isn't for you and you're silly for paying $500 for something if you don't see the value in it'
More accurately, the Xbox one SUPPORTS IPv6, as opposed to just IPv4 like most current consumer devices.
Microsoft has no control over which protocol a user will use to connect to the Xbox live servers (that is up to the broadband service provider), but its good to know that when IPv6 gains popularity (it is the better tech) everyone will still be able to play together. It will also put the pressure on more cable providers to roll out IPv6.
It's not a ghost car. A ghost car drives the same race, the same lines every time. It doesn't react to what's going on around it at all. It's simply a playback of a recording.
This drivatar system is recognizing the 'tendencies' of real players in real situations, and creating a AI that emulates those behaviors. And as the player gets starts to get better and make better decisions, so will his/her corresponding drivatar.
It's real...
@Hicken, you seem to not understand the basics. It's Activisions call. The game is not pressed yet. Obviously they won't reveal the final resolution, until they are sure of the final resolution. If anyone knew for a fact , inside of activision, that it would be locked 720p, they certainly would have said so, but it remains a work in progress.
PS how do you know how hard it would be to find out? Secondly, as he stated, if he did find out, it wouldn't be his call on...
If you read the article, you'd understand that isn't his relationship with 3rd party devs. There is a MS employee who knows, but panella isn't privy to the info, nor would it be disclosable if he was.
MS saying the PS4 is more powerful would 1) certainly NOT stop comparisons, and would 2) be a ridiculously stupid business decision. It's pretty silly of you to even suggest it.
The backlash is just as laughable as the fact Activision is having t...
Yeah that makes perfect sense. If you have an interest in launch titles, then by all means take the plunge.
Yeah I sure this has nothing to do with the power of the xbox1 and more to do with the toolset. It should be noted though, that their are several much more graphically intensive games running in the xbox1, that are also running at a better resolution. (I'd even go on to say that there are ps3 games that look better than next gen COD). So why is it that activision is having so much trouble? I would think MS would be at that studio daily helping to get this version up to par. I doubt the ty...
I hear you, but what is bitcoin back by?
I think Sony has done a better job courting a large number of Indie Developers. Mainly by throwing free hardware at them, and having a less stringent quality control program. That's what made them the most developer friendly leading up to launch. That and bankrolling some of their projects. But MS has made great strides towards closing that gap.
More graphical power doesn't necessarily equate to being more developer friendly, any more than better graphics equates to a...
Wait, are you suggesting that the people who designed Xbox One didn't have developer input? Because that would be a ridiculous suggestion....
I'm no expert, but wouldn't a 1080 60fps game look worse at on a 4k tv than a 1080p tv? I'd assume we'd be better off with a letterbox.
In this case, is the TV doing the upscaling or the system?
Also I wonder what happens when apps are snapped to the xb1 UI. Would the game return to its native resolution. Or would I see a shrunken upscaled image?
There's no shortage of good games from good developers in the works on either console. Xbox one has Titanfall, Halo5, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, Project Spark, Fable Legends, Black Tusk Game, Kinect Sports Rivals, to name a few, and undoubtedly quite a few unannounced titles.
But that's besides the point. It doesn't make sense to buy a launch console solely on the promise of future titles. It would make more sense to wait for those future titles, and likely...
I see no need to 'discourage' people from killing sprees. The killing spree has always been the staple of the franchise.
What they need to do is steepen the consequences of killing sprees in a way that doesn't affect anyone's ability to have fun. In fact, it should be a game within itself.
My solution would allow anyone who wants to tap into their inner serial killer to do so. But if they do, they will be the biggest target on the map. It will...
I can't get with the idea of buying a launch console for games that aren't coming out until well after launch... If the games you want aren't there at launch, wouldn't it make more sense to wait until those games are available before buying the console? There's a good chance there will be bundles and price drops at that time.
The only time I buy a console at launch is if it has MUST HAVE games on day one. The closest thing I see to a must have exclusive ti...
I'm still having a great time with the game. My only gripe is the bad sport thing. I don't find it terribly bothersome because I don't go around blowing up cars, but in a game about random mischief, such rules seem out of place.
I think that instead of bad sports lables, griefers should gain infamy. Anytime you killsome one in freemode, your infamy goes up. Kill multiple people in rapid succession it multiplies. Blow up personal cars in multiplies even faster. The...
I just don't see this happening. The excitement over the ps4 and xb1 is reaching fever pitch. The battle between the two will be getting headlines. They will be called the 2 hottest Xmas gadgets. The wii u will get lost in the shuffle. The buzz has simply died, and after a year on the market, I wouldn't expect a massive resurgence over the course of a few weeks.
Why do we go through this every cycle. 3rd parties make console exclusives EVERY generation, DESPITE the fact that they would reach a bigger audience if they went multiplatform. This is true regardless of the success of the particular platform. There's more to it than simple sales numbers.
We won't know if they will be released on other platforms until there is an announcement. Why speculate...
