How can you be so sure the frame rate would suffer?I'm sure they are aware that most users would prefer a steady framerate over an extra feature. I doubt they would add something if its going to make the game play worse.
Does it bother you when unnamed devs are the ones starting the rumors in the first place?
I wouldn't exactly call 720p vs 900p an minor difference, but it isn't so much that resolution would be the determining factor on which to buy. For me, it's about the gameplay, and if head tracking and voice commands are exclusive to the Xbox One version, it will offer the better multiplayer experience.
You are right, currently this is handled by physically logging into the service, and retrieving a code to enter into live/PSN... Which is clunky when compared to how easy it is to link other social networks together. In that way, you aren't actually linking services to your gamertag, your just allowing the device access to the service.
Currently if I log into Live at a friends house, I wouldn't have automatic access to MY YouTube account. I'd have to do the access...
There's no doubt about this one... MS has a bit of a while to come out of it terms of 'attractiveness', but it's a long race.
Since its inception, battlefield has always been about the multiplayer component.
They answer the question of why they are asking... It's so that they can positively link the two accounts.
You wouldn't want someone who isn't you, being able to link his gamertag to your Netflix account... Would you?
Why believe either. Just read the TOS for yourself. I did, and it looks the same as any other social media network... But don't take my word for it, it's public information,
What telling to me is that polygon has already corrected their article, but failed to note that they made any corrections. Hmmmm
This agreement isn't any different from any other social network...
They have done various live UI Demo's for the press and a various trade shows... im not sure why people keep claiming its under wraps. http://www.wired.com/gadget... ,
http://m.youtube.com/watch?...
And as you can see, they had to either blur the tv content or used licensed footage, so yeah licensing is obv...
That was pretty funny, I've seen weird glitches like this in many a game. It shouldn't be a widespread issue.
It's just a strange design choice. A racing game is about precision control and response. Handcrafted backdrops and dynamic weather are nice, but should only be achieved after maxing out performance.
The typical racing fan would choose 60fps over 30fps any day of the week.
Personally, I'd rather play at a lower resolution than a lower framerate... Gameplay first.
That game looks like a lot of fun. I wonder if the face modeling feature will be included with this download...
That wouldn't make sense either, since combined, they are expect to ship under 5 million units. 100mill is unreasonable high for 1.5 months of sales.
I really want to see this game succeed. It looks like they addressed most of the issues that kept me from enjoying the previous installments.
Hopefully it pushes 343 to improve upon the Halo formula, because while the single player was great, the multiplayer was a step back, as was their approach to DLC and map packs. Hopefully, killzone sets a new standard in that regard.
How can they sell under 100k when they both have over 1mil preorders? Unless, pirates hijack the shipping containers.... Which I guess would be a pretty rude awakening...
Not many, but I've seen a few of the new Nokia phones and they are beasts. I'd have one if I wasn't locked into my android for another year.
Gotta love this site.rumours from anonymous sources against ms = gospel. MS response = lie.
You know, I was thinking, it reminds me of the originalperfect dark
There's no reason to 'expect' framerate drops. It's a possibility, but I can't see a renowned multiplayer developers adding an effect if they couldn't do so without affecting gameplay.
