Way behind? It's probably close to a 50/50 split.
The Win10 version IS the Xbox version. And most people playing exclusively on PC are going to buy the Steam version.
At least 430K bought the game outside of steam, and only a fraction of those would be GOG.

Glee?
Should white Christian extremists be off limits or something?
Unless you are a white Christian extremist, why would you be offended? I see a refreshing take on villainy - a breakaway from the tried and true. There's nothing wrong with that.
The game takes place in Montana... it's 90% white. The next closest group is Native American at 6%. After that it's 'mixed ethnicity' at 2%.
You have to be dense to agree with ethnic outcry. Of course, the bad guys are white. What other group would be populated enough to build a formidable cult threat? That said, Most of the good guys are probably white too.
That's not true at all... the artsyle doesn't dictate how demanding a game is to render. It's a matter of how detailed textures are, how advanced shaders are, and how complex the simulation is.
By your logic, Pixar movies should render on weak hardware because they are cartoony.
Actually, Sea of Theives looks pretty demanding. The water, the lighting, the draw distances and the weather effects don't come cheap.
Where are you getting the playerbase data from because actual publically available statistics say the exact opposite of what you are saying...
Edit: just checked, minecraft is #1 game on android and iOS, number 4 most played game on xbox. In the most recent NDP, minecraft is still in the top 20, 6years after it released...
You have no idea what you are talking about.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've read all day. The playerbase just keeps growing and the DLC and realm program is insanely profitable.
In feb2017 they had 55million daily players and counting. As we speak, it's the 4th most played game on Xbl. It's crazy popular on mobile and will kill on switch.
People weren't talking about it like it was here.
They were excited because it was announced. People are excited about RL splay too....
I don't think it's a matter of technical limitations. It's a matter of MS not seeing it has a solid investment.
At best, a proprietary Xbox headset would sell half as many units as PSVR, and half as much software. Where's the monetary insentive to do their own hardware when they can just make their OS and SDK work 3rd party options.
The Xbox1x, which runs windows10 could enable VR in the future if MS sees it as an endevour worth taking.
skull and bones looks like trash. SoT's ship combat actually looks like it'll actually have much more depth than S&B- which is ONLY about ship combat.
I'm waiting to see more mission and enemy variety from SoT, but it easily has the most potential out of the the two.
Xbox clubs and LFG are going to be this games best friends.
Can't wait.
GameStop knew what they were getting into. So what, A handful of people got way more value out of the deal than average. But GameStop also grew their inventory of used games w/o spending any cash. They also got people to sign up for their membership program.
They aren't sweating...
You really don't get it. Whether or not any compromises are made is totally up to the devs.
The box is capable of boosting 900p - 1080p games up to native 4K with little to no optimization. Mission accomplished as seen in the article.
If the devs choose to use that power differently, they are welcome to. That doesn't change what the box is capable of.
Just because they both use checkerboarding doesn't mean they are equal. The 1X checkerboard will likely have a higher base resolution, and the X1 version will support better textures and graphical effects. That's what the 40% will go to.
What don't you understand. They made a box powerful enough for "uncompromised 4K. If developers CHOOSE to push higher settings instead of native 4K, then so be it.
That's the opposite of what was confirmed...
It's confirmed that with no optimization, most games 900p and up can scale to 4K with overhead.
If a developer CHOOSES to checkerboard instead of native 4K, the Scorpio is still powerful enough benefit from a higher base resolution, better textures, and higher settings than the PS4Pro version.
Yeah ok...

Also, not shown in the video, FM7 is 4K...
Nah, this picture is from the Gamescom2015 trailer here https://m.youtube.com/watch... The game was shown at e3 2017 and the texture and lighting work was nowhere near this good.
Gameplay looked great, but the visuals, not so much.
Man, I wish the game looked as good as that picture.. maybe this new studio could help with that in the future.
Oh well, it's still likely a day1 purchase for me..
How is it a step backwards?
Personally I don't care for avatars or whatever... so I just don't use them... no harm done in the process...
For those that like them, it's a good thing, for everyone else, just keep moving...
A game user Azure doesn’t boost Xbox Live numbers. Azure is platform agnostic.
