Please explain how the fact that it started as a kinect game has any affect on the end result. They scrapped the idea and moved on years ago. Why can't you?
That's the thing about underperforming, it nerfs the value of your IPs. That said, I think only the first parties would have the ability to buy capcom whole. EA probably could, but I doubt they'd be interested.
Multiplayer can't ruin halo because halo was always a multiplayer focused title. If Bungie/343 didn't change the multiplayer formula, weapon balance would never have been an issue. If this author was a true fan of Halo, he'd know that until Reach, team slayer was ALL ABOUT knowing weapon spawn locations, and controlling (and successfully utilizing) the power weapons. If they didn't switch to a load out system (a la COD) then balance would have never been an an issue.

No he's right, since the update, people who don't have the rank to unlock certain missions, get paid half as much upon completion
I understand your frustration, but please realize that the things you are talking about are the games EXTRA features. The core game is quite a bit of fun. And those other things are quite unnecessary, and really don't take away or add much to the experience.
There hasn't been a system since the ps1/n64 era that wasn't better with the Internet.
It would be silly for xbox fans to complain about this, just like its silly for ps fans to complain about multiplats not getting the most out of ps4 hardware. Multiplatform developers have to cater to too many people to be worried about focusing on the intricacies of specific platforms... Unless they get an economic incentive.
he's so wrong. while GoW and Ryse are both classic greco-Roman tragedies, they are individual odes to the an era of storytelling, yet take on the subject of mythology in completely different ways. It's just ignorant flame-bait parading as journalism.
In other words, there is nothing original about GoW's story and Ryse doesn't even borrow from it.
To be fair, they were ugly... but I don't think anyone saw them as a deal breaker. I think folks are just happy to get achievements...
If you are going to buy a console at launch you SHOULD base it on launch titles.
To your points, the hardware isn't going to change between today and a year from now. But price, value, and available games will get better with time. If you are banking on certain 1st parties that won't deliver until some point down the road, it make more sense to buy it WHEN THOSE GAMES COME OUT. by that time, there will be price drops and bundles, and you'll get even more value. <...
I've played a bunch of games that are allegedly guilty of 'tearing' but I never notice it... what exactly is going on when it happens?
You know, I wish i could explain it. I felt the same way as you until i downloaded dr2 (it was free on games with gold). I absolutely loved it, and I still don't know why. The controls were awful, there isn't much in terms of AI (these are zombies), the boss battles were archaic in design. The mission structure was repetitive (go to location, wait through several loading screens, recover something/someone, bring them back) The list of complaints could go on forever. But still it was ...
I've been bashing Madden for the last 7 years, so I mean this when I say this... what the hell are you people complaining about?
For the first time in history, it appears to me that the players in this game are FINALLY grounded in a realistic physics engine. I'm looking forward to Madden playing more like a sim, and it looks like they are taking steps in the right direction.
Sure the graphics leave something to be desired, but it's the gameplay, t...
If they are going to have a day one update anyway, then technically, the 'deadline' is day one.
Anyway, chances are the ARE finalizing and DO have stable builds, but didn't get to that point before their reps went on tour. Most people understand the concept of 'work in progress'.
That's just not how it works. When a team goes on tour, they bring with them stable builds that showcase whatever it is they are trying to present. You don't bring newer builds because the introduction of new features often brings with it unpredicted bugs that you wouldn't want propping up during a demo. For that reason, The stable build might be several months older than the build that's being worked on in the studio.
For reference, GTA IV, went Gold one wee...
@Superted2007. Surely you understand that there is a thing called 'overhead' . Your sixty dollar purchase is not going to sustain an online game of this scale for any significant amount of time. That's why most retail games have the servers cut off after a couple of years. I'm not sure why folks believe that this model should only apply to f2p games, especially when f2p games end up costing more for more people overtime or becoming ridiculous grind fests. Not to mention The va...
Man what are you talking about? Ryse was NEVER announced to be native 1080p, the texture detail has gone up, along with improved shaders. the polygon count has gone on the character model has gone down, but only in places that weren't even visible to the gamer, which freed up resources to make improvement the gamer can see. not to mention they removed LODs, which means the games overall polygon count has gone up as well.
If you are going to troll, atleast know what you ...
Yeah that's pretty ugly. They should have stuck with the old color scheme...
Multiplatform games ALWAYS look usually look subtly different on different platforms... No surprises here...
I'm willing to bet it had the best debut of any gtav in every territory...
