Gotta love the FUD.
Voice chatting in an online video game is similar to voice chatting in a public area, in the sense that.... People in the room can hear you!
I'm not sure why this is news worthy
The sad thing is that the damage is done, there are folks that saw this and will never know it was fake...
As a company? You are aware that they produce and licence unreal engine, right?
It's zombies man! On Halloween! Who doesn't like zombies on Halloween? Don't be a party pooper!
By the time you spend $60 bucks you'll have 24 characters which is fine for a fighter...
What makes this business model good compared to say SF4, is that all of the games gameplay tweaks and upgrades will occur as title updates, instead of asking people to buy a whole new game every couple of years. A few years into this generation, KI will still be going strong with new content.
Did you even read what I said? It's about the FACT that better graphics will come with time, not about the console wars...you don't think developers need time to get familiar with EsRAM? It's like you saw PS3 and 360 in the same sentence, and assumed someone was getting bashed...
This is not a Sony vs MS question. It's a question of whether or not the xb1 will get more games 1080p.
If a year down the road xb1 couldn't get 1080p games I'd be worried... but right now, we're talking about launch games...
Early on, Ps3 games looked like shit compared to their xbox 360 counterparts, but by the end of the generation they looked amazing...
I'm not saying xb1 graphical potential will meet or exceed that of the ps4, I'm saying, realistically, 1080p probably won't be a problem in the future.
Listen to what you're saying. By your own logic the industry would be better off if Sony owned quantic dream. Realistically, it makes no difference either way, because their games are still exclusive to Sony.
It doesn't matter AT ALL how exclusivity is obtained. the ownership status of a developer makes no difference to consumers.
What's irresponsible is to say the industry would be better off with more Indies being purchased by 1st parties. Many ...
Right, but this discussion is about owning whole studios, not owning IPs. Two very different things.
As a consumer, why do you care who owns the IP, or how much cheaper it is to have a game developed in house. All you care about is whether or not the games on your system are fun or not. It doesn't really matter to you that Uncharted is made by a Sony studio. All that matters is that if you want to play Uncharted, you have to have a Sony console.
Besides, just because a game is developed by 3rd party doesn't mean the publisher can't own the IP. What you are descri...
I have to agree. I don't see how Microsoft paying for 3rd party exclusives is any different from Sony buying independent developers and making them in-house. Either way you are paying for exclusivity. I'm not sure how this makes MS any more of a "money hatter".
How many of Sony's best studios originated as Sony studios? I'll help. Naught Dog PURCHASED in 2001, Guerilla Games PURCHASED 2005, Sucker Punch (founded by MS then went indie) PURCHASED in 20...
I'm not sure why Sony fans get so butt hurt anytime something good is said about the xbox1.
These reviews are written to an audience probably doesn't care about (or wouldn't notice) the resolution difference between the two versions of battlefield 4.
That same audience my quite like to get fantasy sports notifications while their kids hog the TV with a game.. Whatever the case may be, Multimedia is an important feature to many. It may not be important to...
Yeah this game looks like plenty of fun. The combat reminds me a lot of the arkham games. I'm not sure what all the complaints are about.
Most gamers would find this xbox snap app useful
http://m.youtube.com/watch?...
I can think of plenty of times I might want to snap a web browser while waiting for commercials to end. The screen size issue you talked about isn't really an issue because (as seen in the video) you can decide which app gets the majority of the screen.
There are other apps that would be useful in ...
Nah, respawn chose to give EA publishing rights, they could have tried put multifunctionality into their publishing contract if they wanted more control over the situation. The folks at respawn are no strangers to working with publishers... They know very well how this stuff works.
Assholes? It's simple supply and demand. Those people aren't being forced to buy anything... They could just wait for more stock to arrive a few weeks later...
You basically disproved your own point. The issues with the Japanese gaming industries issues have NOTHING to do with Microsofts presence in the industry, it has to do with their own miscalculations. Microsoft has become a major player, but the issues you have with AAA a western media were here BEFORE , MS entered, and would still be if Microsoft was ousted. You're acting like Microsoft ushered in gaming capitalism.
I'm Not saying the rise of AAA hasn't hampered c...
I'm not surprised that xb1 is having a bit of trouble at launch, it is the weaker of the two consoles. But at the same time, these are launch titles. When in the history of gaming have day 1 titles been indicative of a consoles maximum potential. When you see Forza 5 running at 1080p 60fps, you know that power isn't what's keeping COD from reaching that milestone.
How could MS foresee, years in advance, that battlefield 4 would need an HDD install in order to run.
And companies are responsible for notifying you of the minimum requirements it takes to run a game. It's been that way since the beginning.
It's pretty silly that you don't see an issue. Every playstation product before the PS4, had its multimedia functions available the moment you took it out of the box.
There used to be a time when consoles functioned as advertised on day 1 without any added hassle.
MS, Sony, and Nintendo should have at least shipped free installation discs to all retailers for those who want them. That way those without Internet can get in on the action.
