"'That's hard to say, because we had incredible titles last year with BioShock, Halo 3, Mass Effect and Call of Duty 4. ...'"

CoD4 was cross-platform. They can't claim that game. :P

Price stated in the interview video that there would be no vehicles in multiplayer, but that there'd be at least one in single player.

It should also be kept in mind that these screenshots are taken from a heavily-compressed video, and compressed to form JPGs on top of that. That leaves them looking more than a little fuzzy, so it is very hard to judge the game's graphics based on them.

Wait for more direct-feed screenshots before you judge the game's graphics.

The title clearly states that it is the worst great game ever made, not the worst game ever made.

Good article. Too bad so many people on here apparently didn't even read the article's title. Let me highlight the operative word in it..."5 Reasons GTA IV Is The Worst *************GREAT************ * Game Ever Made"...See it now? He's not calling it the worst game ever made. He's stating that it had a lot of potential that wasn't realized due to the clunky gameplay, and he's 100% right. :P

I never expected to see insightful material out of Cracked, but that take on GT...

You should at least read the title. He clearly states that it's the worst *GREAT* game, not the worst game. :)

Reread the title. It is *clearly* labeled the worst *GREAT* game ever. :P

If anyone gets a free pass in the gaming industry, it's Rockstar. GTA IV deserved a 9 at best, yet it was treated like the second coming. I'm not going to speculate regarding the reasons, but it got much more friendly reviews than it deserved. If reviewers had treated it objectively, it would not have received a single ten.

I'm not necessarily saying that MGS4 is perfect, either, but it deserves recognition for its excellence. I've actually never played a Metal Gear game before M...

My only real hope is that they nail down 720p render resolution with similar AA to the first game, while maintaining 30fps. I really liked how smooth the picture was in the first game...The textures may have been fairly low res, but the game didn't have much in the way of aliasing issues.

Environment textures seem to be improved in the video, although it's hard to tell without a close look at it in uncompressed 720p. I'll judge the game based on screenshots instead of two-second...

Not a big surprise. They deserve every sale they get on this one. MGS4 is amazing.

According to my DVR's program guide, it's technically not airing until Saturday. >.<

A combination of A and C. It'd be nice, but it's something I can live without.

Given that a lot of ISPs are currently experimenting with bandwidth caps, I don't expect fully digital consoles to be coming any time soon...Especially with 30+GB titles rolling out.

This really is just a pipe dream right now. There's far too many factors stacked against it for purely digital distribution to be viable.

I 'unno. GTA IV looks pretty awful. I don't think there's a single object in that game that has no aliasing problems.

Game developers cater to the masses, especially in the console world. Unfortunately, the masses haven't generally purchased a new TV recently, so they can get away with sub-720p graphics, and most people never even notice. Sad, but true.

If those developers had to design games for my TV, everything would be in 1080p, because even 720p doesn't look that hot on a 61" DLP HDTV. ;)

Y'know, I was with the author on a lot of this up until I got to this point:

"While I could still debate the usefulness of the PlayStation 3"

He's writing an entry about bias, and expressing bias himself. Hilarious!

It'll get here when it gets here. I'd rather have a working firmware next month than a broken one today. :P

Thanks for the update.

If I remember correctly, film actually has a pretty high resolution. It was old storage mediums like VHS and old display mediums like tube TVs that held back consumer video resolutions.
