Sad thing is, even if he does go DRM free and cut his prices...Those people will still pirate his game, because he can't compete with "free." This is why so many games are going with free-to-play, ad-supported models on the PC in Asia. They gave up because, unfortunately, they had to.
Looks like more cutscene screenshots. :/ I'll reserve my hype for when there's actual gameplay screenshots.
I barely got through the first two paragraphs before I closed the tab in disgust. This "article" isn't even another obnoxious, badly-written opinion piece from a random blogger - it's far worse. It's a *misinformed*, obnoxious, badly-written opinion piece from a random blogger. :P
Positive feedback for being well-informed.
That game looks better every time I see it. Then again, that's probably the PC version, so it's bound to. Heh. Hopefully it runs well on the PS3...
It's unfortunate that they gave an exclusive trailer to Gametrailers. Their video is far too heavily compressed to actually look good, even on a 20" monitor.
He's against net neutrality? Heh. Just another reason to dislike that guy. :P
Sad. That game just totally fell off my list of must-buys. Its quality can't possibly be good if they're cutting that many people during development.
Guess I'll hold off on buying a PSP for a while longer. I wonder if it'll get announced at Leipzig or TGS.
Hope so. I really want one to act as a general purpose PMP. :D
Microsoft won't make Live free because they don't have to. You're already stuck with what you bought, and they know that. It's not like you can switch to a competing service without buying another platform, so they can gouge you 'til their heart's content. :P
Bit harsh, but it's true. Sony would probably be doing the same thing if they were in the dominant position and felt they could get away with it.
EDIT: It's pretty awesome that I saw "bruceongames.com"...
"the Ps3 could have benefit from this."
Yeah, if they wanted to delay it two more years. :P
"I don't get why Sony is not providing a tool that will help developers make good use of the Cell.
I mean they have the heads up, they know their system."
They probably are, and that's why we're seeing such a huge jump in the quality of third-party games on the PS3.
"First thing that went through my mind. :)"
Same. Kinda exciting that it's making such a big leap, too.
I have a feeling that, regardless of how the vote goes, they're going to save Hale for last, and they'll use the doctor's emotional attachment to him as the excuse.
I'm going to buy this game either way. PS3 lead platform = win.
Sorry, but no woman is worth having your cells spam-spawn until you pop. :P
Yeah, guess he can't blow up like a balloon.
This is obviously due to the strength of digital downloads.
Err, wait, WUT?!
It's obviously because they want to try it before they buy it. Oh, and never, ever buy it, because they've already played it.
It's probably because he's a bit of a jerk. There's a post about him trashing another developer in some way or another every few weeks, seems like.
I'll say this much...I have a funny feeling that Schofield would utterly thrash him in a fight. ;)
"A site called PS3 fanboy is hardly a reliable source"
PS3 Fanboy is a part of the Joystiq Network, which is owned by AOL, if I remember correctly. They're legitimate, professional gaming journalists. They've also got a site named Xbox 360 Fanboy, so it's not like the network is biased.
Still, don't misinterpret what the article states. The 360 was the lead platform, it just got switched to the PS3 a while back. Most likely, this was simply to make sure tha...
SE's Crystal Tools can run on the Wii as well as the 360. Does that mean its graphical capabilities are on par with the 360? :P
I'm glad I didn't click through to this article. The summary pretty much screams "i dunt know what i takling aboat!!!11!1!"
