Personally, I prefer the toned down gouts of blood. The moves are still plenty brutal, and as long as the controls are perfectly responsive and the gameplay is tough as nails, it'll still be Ninja Gaiden for me.
Besides that, anyone who really wants to see fountains of blood and amputee enemies crawling grotesquely after Ryu can still buy the 360 version. The existence of Sigma 2 doesn't erase the orginal NGII.
I also echo that GOWIII is so absurdly violent that ...
@Shocky: What? Some English voice acting can be really great, but in my opinion (and that of many JRPG and Anime fans) the English dub is rarely superior to the original on a Japanese game. This is already the case with FFXIII, as we've samples of both tracks and the English one can't hold a candle. Again, in my opinion.
As far as I'm concerned Square needn't bother with the English dub and just include the English subtitles with the Japanese release. I and many other gamers...
Agreed. This one caught my attention awhile ago. Good luck getting the demo from the links in that article, though. :) Totally full right now.
@1.3: "So the PS3 is lacking antialiasing....that's not really a good thing"
So if the PS3 is blurrier the 360 has better textures, but if the PS3 is sharper the 360 has better AA?
Yes, why rely on hard published data when your own opinion is so much easier to believe?
Yes. And Capcom. And Konami.
@1.0: It's not that troubling because it isn't true. This article ignores a whole lot of published information. But that's pretty typical for flamebait.
Come on, even Jim Sterling over at Destructoid--who has written some really disparaging stuff about the PS3--can acknowledge reality.

"I think the author got the comma and period keys mixed up."
FAIL. (The writer, not you.)
It is a good list, I agree with you there. But the "nicely written" part...This is one of the absolute worst written features I've seen on a gaming site, and that's saying something. Some translated pages make better use of English punctuation than this writer. His paragraph about MGS4 is a single sentence.
Grammar-douche out.
@1.0: I'm guessing you're just trying to get attention, and I'm sure it'll work. But Crysis 2 is not a released console game and so should not appear on this list.
Yes. What kind of idiotic question is that? Do we need shooters? Do we need platformers?
Do we still need game journalism? Now THERE'S a questions.
For some reason lately I've been accused of being a 360 fanboy (I don't actually own a 360, but I don't go out of my way to hate people who do). I'm guessing that's the source of the disagrees.
The other possibility is that I consistently call for peace in the console war, and I'm starting to realize people here WANT to fight. I used to think N4G's reputation as a cesspool of fanboyism and flamewars was undeserved, but this is no longer a fun or safe place to talk about games a...
Wow, I guess I'm an idiot. To me it looked like more fun than other games out right now, and I am having fun with it. What else are games for?
Holy sh1t. Please stop all this. I own the game for PS3. It looks fine and it's fun as heck.
@1.0: Totally a rehash. But N4G will never get out from under this bridge as long as the Troll Wars continue.
And anyway I'm suspicious. I have no trouble believing the game looks better on 360. No problem. However, the PS3 screenshot they used looks worse than the game runs on my SDTV. How is that possible?
Thanks, Don. *yawn*
@above: Unintentional comedy through localization? I don't know what you're talking about, you spoony bard! I feel asleep.
Totally. These shots remind me a lot of FFX. Can't wait.
But it was childish and unnecessary, right? :)
From the article: "The title probably should Alex Mercer (Prototype) Vs. Cole McGrath because that's what I'm talking about here."
So why didn't you call it that? Wait, don't tell me. Is it because that title wouldn't have put out the scent of system wars and people would have cared even less about this comparison? Makes sense.
