This just in: Analyst says VHS will never replace Betamax.
Breaking News: The QWERTY keyboard will never catch on.
Tonight: iPods--Why would you ever want one?
Stirring up the pot, eh? At least you freely admit it instead of pretending anyone should listen to your drivel. Saves me the trouble of clicking on your link.
@ape
There's no good reason for you to have those disagrees. You're exactly right. Sony and MS are competing hard for our money right now, and we are all the winners. Not only that, all of the consoles being sold are a welcome sign that the economy here in the US is slowly picking up again.
@morgan
Come on, man. We all know the Slim is even better than sliced bread. Let MS get rid of their old stock on the cheap just like Sony has been doing this mo...
Fingers crossed for English subs...
I KNOW IT WON'T HAPPEN, BUT A GUY CAN HOPE, RIGHT?!
@2.0
Have to disagree with you on that. I feel like the dev cycle for FFXIII has been hampered by the constant announcements of new games for handhelds (not to mention the ghastly Last Remnant). It's about time Square devotes its full resources on its flagship title. A lot is riding on this game.
I heard a lot about Tales right when it came out, but then the news died down. I thought it looked pretty fantastic. Ditto for Lost Odyssey--that has to be better than the garbage that is Last Remnant (played it on PC).
The 360 patch arrived nearly two weeks ago. I don't know exactly what issues it fixed.

I'm grateful that most people on here see the logical flaw in this article. Nintendo could charge $500 for their system if it still sold as well as the Wii currently does.
Already beaten this twice. Now I've got a reason for a third go.
Honestly, I didn't see this coming. I don't know why the graphical and trophy problems were there to begin with, but I'll give some props to the developers for owning up to it and fixing their blunders.
Ha ha! Seriously. "I can't believe a business is trying to sell more of their product. How dare they!" lolwut?
Booooooooooo!
Me too. But there was already a portion of the E3 trailer where the English voices were lip-synced. It's when that blonde kid goes, "You want to help a l'Cie?"
Anyway, I'd say the hell with lip-syncing if it meant I could choose which language I hear and/or read while I'm playing. Doesn't look like that'll happen now though. Yoichi Wada must REALLY want me not to import this game.
Right! Now listen carefully, Square. Put English VO's and/or subs into the Japanese release and you'll sell 2 million copies before you release outside Japan. You've already got my $100 for an import.
@above: Definitely. I always switch my JRPGs to Japanese voice and English subs. If Square doesn't put in English text, then either Wada is an even bigger idiot than I thought he was (not easy to do), or they're contractually bound not to include English. We'll see.
The article is simple, logical, and, yes, even obvious in points. But "obvious" is a terribly subjective word--how come no other gaming journos have come up with the same arguments this guy has?--and it's refreshing to see a reasonable take on gaming hardware.
Edit: @ above:
Sony has already figured out TWO methods of B/C. The first was hardware (launch SKUs), the was second software emulation (original 80GB SKU). Besides that, if they're still selling l...
And it makes sense. I've still got my PS2 set up right beside my 40GB PS3.
This looks pretty good. Any idea if the demo is coming to PC or PS3?
ToD was my first PS3 game, and I've beaten it 4 times. I liked it so much that I actually went back and bought the first three R&C games on PS2. Crack in Time = Day 1 purchase.
Two of the three games you mentioned are PS1 games, which the PS3 still plays. As for the PS2 games, if you don't have the $100 to buy a new one, just dump the bios from your old one and you can legally play your PS2 games on a PC emulator. There's no reason or excuse to troll like you're doing in this topic.
A console without cables is not a big deal for anyone who knows how to shop on the internet. I picked up two HDMI cables at newegg for $6.00 apiece, including shipping. They work great.
Ditto. I have never played an MMO, but I love Final Fantasy. I thought I might give this one a shot until I saw "monthly subscription." No thanks, Square.
