Definitely agree. Metal Gear is a big seller to be sure, but Kojima hasn't exactly shoved those games out the door without being finished, has he? If it is MGS5, I'd guess a mid-2010 release at the absolute earliest. An even later date seems more likely.

lol what? That's a whole lot of if's, buddy. And while there have been some great looking games on the UE3, I probably wouldn't refer to it as the best engine out there right now. Especially right before E3, and ESPECIALLY if I were trying to make a name for myself as a gaming journalist.

I gotta add my voice to all of yours. That video looked pretty damn sweet. 360 and PC gamers are in for a real treat. If I recall, the PC version of the original is like $20 at Best Buy now. I haven't played a PC RPG since KOTOR, but maybe it's time to strap on the old keyboard and mouse again.

Got Planet Earth for Christmas, and it's amazing. There is one downside to the BD Planet earth, which is the baffling lack of behind-the-scenes footage included in the regular DVD version. However, none of that material was filmed in HD and you can watch it all online. Enjoy the show!
The only mention of NG3 is whether Itagaki closed off that door before he left, and the answer is no. No platforms are mentioned. Most of the interview is about NGS2, which is why I'm guessing the article is classified as PS3.

Played this when I was a kid in the late 80's. The remake actually looks pretty good.
I hope no one "defames" the game as you suggest. It was always supposed to be multi-plat title, and to be honest, this clarification makes a whole lot of sense. All earlier press releases mentioned only SCEE, so this shouldn't be surprising.

@1.0: Agree with whom? The guy HATES trophies and spends two pages talking about how he knows they're basically the same as achievements but he CARES more about achievements for some reason. Not a terribly enlightening or even thoughtful read in my opinion. The only thing I do agree with is that both trophies and achievements are pretty much meaningless and should take a back seat to actual fun gameplay.

While November could indeed be the true release date, the official Playstation website link in the article holds a hell of a lot more water than a fan (or anti-fan, whatever the case may be) posting a random prediction on N4G. No offense.
