Um...duh? I seriously considered spending 70 bucks on that movie because of the demo, and if the movie had English subs I would've done it in a second (can't stand the English VO's). I just hope Square sees this as the wake-up call it is.
The game will supposedly have voice-over (this is Nomura after all), but voice actors have apparently NOT been announced yet. Sadly I can't back up the first part with anything besides common sense.
I don't know if you wrote this or borrowed it, but it's very interesting. I wish my English students wrote more comparisons like this. :)

Seriously, blast from the past. When I bought this game it came with a REALLY crappy novelization by Alan Dean Foster (who wrote the REALLY crappy novelization of the movie Alien). I think there was also a t-shirt. It was okay, but after the two Indy games and other SCUMM engine classics, I felt a little let down.
Edit: Not to mention Full Throttle. Dammit, that was a fantastic game.

I decided not to spend the $70 to import--no English subs in FFVII:ACC played a role in that--but I am definitely importing the full game. Cost be damned! I know a little Japanese, and what I don't know I will make up with my imagination. Games haven't totally destroyed that, you know. :P

I'm with you. I haven't seen original arcade or PS3 screens, so I don't know if this is better or worse than either of those. But whatever system its on looks like total donkey.

How did you get so many disagrees? FFVXIII is PS3 only and someone with multiple accounts really hates PS3 exclusives right now. Just look at the FFVII: International PSN thread.
On topic, we're still on for 2009 in Japan. Rock.
Don't know how it is on the PSN, but the original release was Japanese only. It had the additions of the US FFVII release and some pretty cool extras, like being able to fly around the game world and read behind-the-scenes stuff about every location. However, all in Japanese.
