This is from Data Design Interactive. If you've heard of them, you already know this game is going to be terrible. If you've not heard of them, let me just say this: They made "Ninjabread man", possibly one of the worst games made since ET.
I tried playing two worlds, I really did. But about 20mins in, the game just felt so...bad. I don't know, maybe that kind of RPG just isn't my thing, but the whole presentation was just far too poor for my liking (And I'm not normally one to care about graphics and such in games).
Someone once described it as a "poor man's oblivion" and that's a fair description, it really is. Still, free content? Yes, please! I wish more games did that.
Yeah, 2 years on, what's your point? This retail pack will be like $10 before the year is out and a year after that you'll probably be able to pick it up for $5 if you look around, so does that make any of this ok?
Valve did the same thing with the Orange box. Actually, it was worse than that:
The orange box cost $49.99 when it came out (I believe, it's been like 2 years so my prices might be a little bit off).
Many people, such as myself, already owned HL2 and Episode 1, though, but there was no "special package" offered for us, we were forced to either buy Portal, TF2 and Episode 2 separately, for a grand total of about $70 (I think it was $20, $20 and $30 for each), or po...
"LOL unlucky for EU 360 owners, as 360 and Wii games are region locked..."
Shows what you know. Not all 360 games are region locked, Microsoft allows the publishers to lock out regions however they like. Quite a lot of games are Region Free. Pretty much all Microsoft titles are Region Free, Capcom's are region free and quite a few others. Even EA, who used to only seem to do Region Locked games, have started releasing RF titles.
Ghostbusters (360) could very well ...
These kind of stories really need to have the name of the game they're referring to in the title.
Well, now that Sony has "bought" a timed exclusive, can we stop all this nonsense bashing of Microsoft for doing the same?
Business is Business...
You belong in the OpenZone. And you're not Talented. You can't even tell the difference between TalON and TalEN.
I feel dirty. I thought this was some genuine news or something, so I clicked the link. Then I seen what site it loaded and not only did I immediately know that it was probably either hyperbole or blatantly wrong, but I also gave HHG a hit.
Damn.
I wish they'd ban this guy from N4G already.
I guess one way of looking at it is if you've not got 1000 points in a game, you've not "finished" it. Sure, you might have beat the campaign on the hardest difficulty setting with just the frying pan, but there's still stuff left to do.
For me, Achievements (and trophies! If you ask me, they're pretty much the same thing) are a nice way to get more out of a game, a way of making you do things you might not have considered before.
Even if there were no points and no dire...
1% at the moment, but there's definitely been a lot more people talking about it lately. Probably just media hype as these things tend to be (It's about on par with the 360's E74 fiasco), but it seems as though that most people affected by this are affected over a year after they buy their PS3, so it could be a long-term thing. It's possible (although unlikely) that a few months down the line, we might see a LOT more reports of this failure from launch consoles and such, due to the nature of ...
EDF is a great game. It's simple - get some guns and shoot lots of giant ants/spinders, practicallly levelling an entire city in the process, what more do you want? It's pick up and play fun at its very best!
Perhaps it'd be better suited to XBLA, but its still a fun game. The achievements are a pain, though.
No no no, you guys aren't fanboys, it's the ones that constantly debate that their console of choice is better and such, the ones that do nothing but slam the console they didn't buy. Not everyone can afford both consoles, not everyone wants both consoles, but some of us don't care about who makes what, some of us are just eager to play the best games out there and to really do that, there's no way around it - you need both consoles. Both consoles have plenty of great exclusives and both cons...
Pretty much, it just takes one good game->film conversion to set the Benchmark. Silent hill is the closest we've come yet for sure. That film is at least proof that you don't have to "hollywoodify" the script to make it "work" as a film. If you stick close to the original format, you can't go wrong - it was popular for a reason.
I own BOTH consoles so I get ALL the best exclusives. I'm the real winner, not the one-console fanboys.
I don't remember the last time they released anything that wasn't buggy. Seriously.
It wouldn't be the first game released set in Vietnam. Wouldn't even be the first game set in Vietnam released in the last 6 months.
I think this is a non-issue.
I used to work for a games company called "playbox"...
Yeah man, seriously, every time I play FF8, I wish I could just skip straight to disk 3!
Surely, I mean...really...surely...if you're paying for a game and 2 expansions and want to cut more than half of it out, something's wrong? Maybe the game really isn't for you?
This has nothing to do with Nintendo, it's entirely DDI.
