If I had my choice, I'd ask for a hypervisor so that people could write homebrew apps that work right off of the XMB, without enabling piracy.

The PSP, by itself, is a pretty poor device in my opinion, but when you open it up with some custom firmware and plugins, it becomes one of the best portable devices you can have.

Irrelevant? HA! It's perfectly relevant. It might not be selling more, but the 360 and PS3 aren't exactly outselling the Wii, would you call THEM irrelevant?

This has nothing to do with how the game "looks", all the textures and 3D models and all that will be the same. It's saying that the animations should be more realistic and such.

You know what, HHG is full of crap, but this article isn't far wrong, the CELL is definitely going to have an advantage with this sort of stuff. Physics and things, things you'll probably NEVER be able to compare pixel-to-pixel or through screenshots. Even though the gist of this article is no...

evrfighter, you only buy multiplayer games because they're the one thing pirates haven't "cracked", unless you count playing "LAN" games with friends over hamachi (hardly the same as jumping into a server list with hundreds/thousands of other players).
I'm one of the few people that are willing to stand up and point out how inaccurate and overblown a lot of these pirating statistics are (1.7million downloads is an $85million loss? Because each of those downloads rep...

In all of the years of piracy, this is one of the first times I've recalled pirated copies actually interfering with legitimate copies. What happened, there? Is piracy really what caused it, or was it an oversight on stardock's part?

What the hell are you even talking about?

The sad thing is that as a game, it's not bad. I hate 50 cent, I mean I REALLY hate the guy, I hate his music, I hate his attitude, I just hate the guy, but I tried the game and found it surprisingly enjoyable.
If you turn the music off/stream your own music and pretend the main character is just some nameless punk, the game actually offers a fair bit of gameplay. It's like someone took Gears of War and made it a lot less serious. It even has decent co-op play.
They could have ea...

It sounds good on paper, but in reality with most films related to games (And vice versa) at least one of them is rubbish. You'd get the odd little gem, like Silent Hill and that's it. Even MGS, many people that love MGS probably wouldn't like those films (Not me, I love them - Especially escape from New York), so you're left with that feeling of paying for something you didn't want just to get the game.

I don't think this rumour is true at all, it doesn't really make sense - why...

Mark Hamill was the voice of the Joker in the very same animated show. The hype isn't so much "Luke Skywalker is the joker!" as "They got the original actors to play their roles", at least from some form of Batman (Probably one of the best animated incarnations of any comic book).

HHG people, move along, nothing to see here...
Seriously, I wouldn't so much as take this with a grain of salt as evaporate the entire ocean and dump the remaining salty deposits on top of it.

For every "PS3 is dying" article, there's a "360 RROD epidemic" or a "Microsoft is t3h evil1!1!!" article. Don't you guys see? The media doesn't care what console is better or who "wins", they're happy to put up flaimbait articles to rile up a good ol' moan and a fight from the fans, all in the name of getting hits.
The media are a business, like any other and they make money by getting hits. They get hits by having headlines that they KNOW people...

Didn't one of the Devs on twitter say that DNF reached a "milestone" like a week ago?
Seems pretty odd for him to say that when the company was so close to shutting down...

As much as everyone wants KI3, I'm not entirely sure it'd constitute a "Big" announcement. It's just...I dunno, I don't think beat 'em ups have been all that big this gen. We've had some big hitters like SC4, but there wasn't much of an impact from them. SF4 was about the biggest splash we've had so far and even then a lot of the hype has died down (And that's frickin' street fighter!).
They've all been great games, just it seems not as many people have been as interested in ...

"And @Kushan the lack of a hard drive on all 360s will stop them "

...how? How on earth does that stop them doing anything? The point of DLC is that it's OPTIONAL. Lack of Hard drive didn't stop anyone else releasing DLC, map packs and such. Hell, it didn't stop Capcom releasing SSFIITHDR. And considering it's really the kind of DLC that should be free anyway, what's it to SE if some players can't download it? What does it matter to them?

But that's just it...

"It is a problem if it CAN be included but one of the platforms HOLDS back the other due to space constraints. "

But that's just it! The 360 isn't holding the PS3 version back, SQUARE is! They're the ones deciding to do this, they're the ones that can't be bothered to make a single extra option for the NA PS3 version. What, you think both code bases must be absolutely identical for both systems? That you couldn't add a feature to the PS3 version without "breaking&q...

No, but you're all ready to blame the 360 for that, when really it's Squeenix being lazy. The term "lazy developers" has been thrown around needlessly a LOT regarding the PS3, but that's a prime example right there of a lazy decision - one console can't do it, so we wont bother doing it on another. Hell, there's nothing stopping them putting it up as DLC for the 360 and having it on disk for the PS3 (I believe one game already did this, a sports game I cannot remember the name of). ...

Why would they "gimp" it? The only thing that's going to change between the Japanese and NA PS3 version is the language. It would actually take MORE effort to "gimp" the game than it would to simply translate it, which is what Squeenix plans to do.

That's speculation. Did FFX have Japanese and English voices? Did FFX-2? Did FFXII?
In fact, has ANY FF game had both English and Japanese voice actors?

Why, suddenly, is it a problem caused by the 360 when in fact nothing has changed?

6132d ago 0 agree21 disagreeView comment

"At the moment we're thinking of releasing the voice in English only."

That doesn't sound final or confirmed at all to me. The title of this article isn't even the title of the source it's taken from, the author clearly just wants to start a flame war.

I just find it so stupid that everyone is ready to jump on the 360 for "gimping" FFXIII, based on a frivolous line from a Q&A that clearly isn't even final. They even say "Do many people wa...

It's pretty much the benchmark for "shovelware" on the Wii. I believe it was ported from the PS2 as well.
