The Helghast are a mirror of Nazi Germany. Think about it, they're a fascist regime and due to Helghan's harsh atmosphere, they've evolved to be taller and stronger. Throw in blonde hair and blue eyes and you've got the characteristics of the "master race". What's more, because the Humans were controlling everything, many Helghan felt opressed, which is why Visari came to power in the first place. Kind of like a post WWI Germany...
See what I'm getting at? Killzone isn'...
Oh f*** me. I was going to reply to this post, then reading the comments it just gets worse and worse.
Graphics > Gameplay?
Killzone 2 "realistic"?
Something about Fat chicks?
Christ on a bike, the average IQ of this place has finally hit single digits.
P.S. That wasn't a dig about KZ2 at all, I just find it absurd that someone said it was "realistic". It's sci-fi ffs, it's about as "realistic" as Star Wars - ...
It's probably just one guy with about 5 accounts doing all the disagreeing. You're completely right, COD has NEVER been about the pretty graphics. Hell, the fact that they went for a smooth 60FPS proves that. You could, more or less, "double" how good the game looks at the cost of halving the FPS, but why bother when you can have a nice smooth frame rate and concentrate on the gameplay?
COD4 was, in my opinion, one of the best FPSs released this side of the millennium, it sure...
Fox01: What makes you think I don't have a problem with their attitude, either?
Random question: Do you know how to get to the Open Zone from here?
"Microsoft asks for 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) for Arkanoid Live!, but Xbox.com forum members (as well as Eurogamer readers and posters on the Major Nelson blog) claim this only covers episodes one and two, and that a further 400 MSP (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.80) is needed to unlock episodes three and four."
It's not clear (the article even states that they're awaiting comment from MS and it's a little bit of forum speculation) if this is actually the case, but ...
Christ, the fanboys are out in droves today, huh?
Yeah, a GLOBAL economic recession doesn't mean anything. Or something.
I dunno, I've given up trying to figure out how the fanboy mind thinks. All I know is that it lacks the concept of Logic.
"Will this be the 6th month PS3 sales have declined year-on-year? "
lol. That sentence makes no sense. How can something decline "year-on-year" over 6 months?
Last I checked, our year lasts 12 months. But then again, Slime does seem to be on his own little world...
If they add software backwards compatibility for PS2 games, my PS3's usage would triple overnight.
You were doing well until you "laughed" at the 360's price point, then you just showed that you're a fanboy, exactly like whoever wrote the title to this article.
Heaven forbid that anyone uses the term "draw"...
Notice that according to the very same statistics, Capcom released MORE games on the 360 last year? Heaven forbid they try to even things up a bit.
But no, that's not newsworthy enough at ALL...
There's nothing wrong with the back buttons on either pads, it's just a case of what you're used to. If you have both consoles, chances are whatever console you got first will have your "preferred" pad, just because that's what you've used the most.
I'll get excited when they stop blatantly milking the franchise.
What the title hasn't really given away here is the article's main focus is Capcom's attitude towards DLC, not the games they've released. Capcom has easily been one of the best 3rd party devs this generation with a fair few hits under their belt, but lately the "penny-pinching" DLC has left some with a sour taste in their mouth and I'm inclined to agree.
However, it's not Capcom alone doing this, EA and others have been known to do this for a while now. I think it's unfair to...
"Isn't it kinda strange that they would put such a classic PC game on Xbox Live?"
Ummm...no? They put Doom and that Bungie one I forget the name of up there. And there's rumours of Q3A coming soon. Quite a few "classic" PC games have made the jump to XBLA, Duke 3D is no exception.
"So much Duke coverage...wonder what this is about"
Wouldn't have anything to do with 3D Realms, the owners and creators of Duke Nukem, going out of business, would it?
If we removed HHG, about 40% of the useless crap on this site would stop. And nothing of value would be lost.
I hated it. I really hated it. I got all the way on to disk 2 and just hated how "cheap" it felt.
The first warning flag was the pointless "lets turn out ALL the lights and force you to fight your way through completely dark areas". That was just poor game design and the lights that followed you were nearly useless.
Then the endless backtracking. I swear, that desert bit was just tedius. Hey, lets run all the way from one side of this big, baron desert to the o...
The picture associated with this news post is NOT the new version. Watch the video to see what it's supposed to be like - yes it's 3D.
Why on earth are people even mentioning Sony here? Sony has nothing to do with this, this has nothing to do with operating losses or profits, it's to do with patent infringements (Something Sony also has to deal with and has also had mixed success/failure with). This doesn't even have anything to do with Console gaming or the 360!
Seriously...
