That actually makes more sense.
"According to a recent trademark for P.S. Thanks, probably short for PlayStation Thanks,"
Stop right there. Sony has never abbreviated PlayStation to "P.S." PlayStation is all one word, the "offical" abbreviation is PS.
Makes sense to me. The elite, apart from the colour of the case and the size of the hard drive, was identical to the "pro" anyway. It didn't make sense to me to have 2 very similar SKUs on the market at the same time.
"We all can remember back in the day when Halo was all about going to your friends house, setting up a LAN and having a huge party. Now we really need to take the time to play a board game just to enjoy Halo?"
Who said you HAD to go out and buy all the merchandise? The Merchandise is there for those who want it, it's not a promotional tool, it's a business. If they didn't think they'd make a profit on those items, they wouldn't sell them.
I'm still enjoying this game a lot. I don't think its like GTA where you can get stuck into it for hours and hours, it's more a pick-up-and-play for an hour, then go play something else kind of game.
Quick, someone mention killzone 2 so we can have even more misinformation about ray-tracing spread around!
Viva Piñata.
What? Those faukin' things aren't right and creep the hell out of me!
I just did the sign up and noticed this:

I lol'd.

It could possibly mean that there's some sort of major shopping season on the way. I know it sounds Crazy, but imagine if like...a third of all spending was done at one particular time of the year. Like near the end of the year, everyone went out and spent loads of money for some reason. Imagine that.
int main()
{
// happy now?
while (1) {};
return 0;
}
It's easy to use the entire power from a console. Here, I'll show you how with just one line of C code:
while (1) {};
Job done!
What's really difficult is making the most efficient use of the resources you've got.
If it was part of the L4D fiasco, they should really release it for free on the 360 as well.
"While containing both Survival maps and a Co-operative Campaign, the primary goal of 'Crash' is to deliver a complete Versus mode experience in just 30 minutes"
Translation: This campaign is significantly shorter than other campaigns.
Not sure I really see the point in this, L4D2 is out a month later.
The PS3 will always be more expensive. The Blu-ray drive is never going to be cheaper than the DVD drive inside a 360, at least not until DVD is dead and that wont be for years and years. Everything else, processor, GPU, etc. will share the same kinds of reductions. If Sony can do a 45nm process, so can MS.
By the time they "run out" of price cuts, chances are it'll be time to jump to a new generation anyway.
I'm shocked and amazed, this article is actually quite sensible! I completely and utterly wholeheartedly agree with what the author is saying. I wish more posts on this site were as neutal, honest and sensible as this one.
Mooey, I believe that was intentional. I believe the author is actually trying to say that the original article is wrong.
I actually don't know what to think any more, I couldn't tell you which picture really IS the newer one and more importantly, there's bugger all indication if the older picture is ingame, pre-rendered, a target render or what.
Microsoft has been "doing that" for years?
All they've done recently is replace some static images with moving images that have sound. That only play when you highlight them.
And all of that is outside of the game.
I think no matter how much we all hate it, it seems that advertising is going to be a big part of the future and I'd rather it was on the dash than ingame.
One thing I find strange is that there's a huge amount of speculation on a PS3 price cut, with many people claiming that it'll outsell the 360 and even the Wii when it happens, but nobody seems to be wondering about what Microsoft/Nintendo will do? Well nintendo probably doesn't care, they make plenty of money, but if Sony is able to reduce their manufacturing costs by 70%, then surely Microsoft can do the same?
If Sony drops the price of the PS3, surely Microsoft will drop the price of...
That's actually pretty good value! Colour me impressed.
