Any bog standard HDMI cable will do, you don't HAVE to buy a Microsoft branded one.

"#1) I'm gay.

Obviously the worst thing you could say to your girlfriend."

What if you're also a girl?

I don't mind choices, but sometimes it is really bloody pointless. Oblivion and fallout come to mind. You spend half an hour customising your face, only to never see it again. What's the point?

Wow, another article with hand-picked figures twisted to say whatever the author wants them to say. But this line is all you need to know:

** Please note we have taken the sales numbers from VgChartz.com.

People DO pay attention to value, the problem is that Value is extremely subjective. For some people, the Blu-ray player is the most valuable aspect of the PS3, for others its not. It boils down to personal taste.

Sales DO matter though. I mean, they don't define the game itself, they don't indicate if the game is good or not, but they matter for the console and the industry as a whole. If FPS games stopped selling as much, no matter how great they were, less would be released. If the PS3 suddenly started selling less, developers would be less inclined to make titles for it. Particularly exclusives, if MS can prove that a 360 exclusive sells better than a PS3 exclusive, more developers would be incline...

"they released the game in the same time frame as Fable 2, which was hyped by Peter Molyneux to the roof"

That's hardly fair, if anything Peter Molyneux didn't hype the game enough. Sure, he hyped Fable 1 far above and beyond what the game really was, but Fable 2 is a different story, he really did take a back seat on that game (And even admitted it here

Natal is an addon, not a new SKU. It needs to be an addon, releasing it as a separate SKU is like releasing a brand new console - people don't want a new generation just yet, this one has barely got started.

Fear? What? Aside from the fact that half of this is rumour and speculation, are you honestly trying to tell me that when one competitor lowers their prices, everyone else should just stick to their guns? That doing the same in order to stay competitive is because they're scared?

And going by that logic, surely that must mean that SONY is scared, since they're also about to announce a price drop?

Uhhh, yeah. This is business, "fear" has nothing to do with i...

And I'd buy your games even less.

Why must you bring this fanboy crap into articles that are clearly trying to be lighthearted and amusing? Jesus, stick to the Open Zone.

You're still making wild speculations, the fact is NOBODY knows how much it's going to cost. You can't even assume that microsoft will "eat" the costs when no information is available to base that claim on.
As for the software, everyone knows that the 360 is heavily based on DirectX and Microsoft themselves have depreciated many DirectX libraries in favour of their 360-based counterparts. Xaudio and XInput come to mind. What's to say that any Natal development libraries wouldn...

Prices haven't been announced yet, so no it's NOT a $200 piece of hardware. You can't claim that, you don't know what it will cost.
If Natal truly does work on PCs, then the price point is no different than the 360's price point - it's the same hardware. In other words, if it sells on the 360, it has just as much chance of selling on the PC.

6151d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Uhhh, I think you'll find they do, in fact, make games for the 360.
And Microsoft has already stated that Natal will work on PCs.

Valve, as a developer, should be the ones coming up with those games. Microsoft provides the tools, it's up to developers to use them.
Likewise, the same applies to Sony's motion controller and even the Wii. If you read the article, he actually directly compares Natal to the Wii and his statement is aimed towards BOTH.
He's not saying NATAL needs compelling games, he's saying motion controls in general do.
