No, but the PS3 was mere months away. That's the point - Sony should have been advertising and promoting the hell out of it.
Put it this way, Playstation Move is still months away, yet Sony are Advertising it right now - that's how it's done.
Lets be honest here, in 2005, Sony's Marketing wasn't the best, either. In fact, I'm sure most of us can agree that when it comes to Marketing, Sony let themselves go for a while (Big hitters like Killzone 2 simply didn't get enough marketing). Luckily, along with things like the Slim PS3, Sony seems to have sorted it out and are back in true form, giving Microsoft the run for their Money that they should have been giving since the launch of the PS3.
Seriously, competition is the...
I'm not a fan of Green Day, either, but can you blame Harmonix for releasing this? They're not exactly the first to do this, just look at Singstar, we've had about 50 different variations of that game and nobody seems to care, but because Rock Band is more popular, somhow it becomes an issue.
Blame the consumers, not the ones that cater to their demands.
Face it, the 360 didn't win this generation. And neither did the PS3. They keep one-upping each other, with different times each console coming out on top.
And I like it this way.
Nice Image, Gaffy, I agree it does look like a big fake, but one thing the image overlooks is USB ports the two "WTF is that?" bits could easily be USB ports (Current 360 has one on the back and 2 on the front).
The rest of the image is pretty spot on, though - Coller Master? I don't think so, but who knows, I guess it COULD be a very early prototype or something. We know a Motherboard revision is definitely coming, the question is simply - is this it?
*pokes*
Yup, this horse is well and truly dead. All the beating in the world isn't going to do it much good...
The purpose is to have the best possible gaming room/home theatre you can get - and for quite a small sum, all things considered.
Can anyone here, anyone at all, honestly say they wouldn't love to own that basement?
....well done, you've just done exactly what the author wanted. You've seen the title, got all worked up, clicked the link so you could laugh at his idiocy and given the site another free hit.
Seriously, if articles like this bother you, the best way to deal with it is to just avoid it. I personally think that everyone's entitled to their own opinion and, similarly, you're also entitled to ignore that opinion.
This was announced years ago!
Your comment DID interest me, I find it highly amusing when people such as yourself attempt to assert yourselves on a site like this.
Your second comment, the reply to mine, was even more enjoyable, where you pretty much stick your foot right in it without realising:
"I did read the article and I did find it to be an extremely boring babble dabble. Peter just comes off as some one who is looking to justify himself and his game/s to people."
If ...
If the article doesn't interest you, why did you click on it? Why did you even pretend that you read it?
I genuinely do think that this price tag is far too high. It's an accessory, it doesn't matter how cool it is, if it's too expensive, not enough people will buy it and it'll lose developer support.
Look at the past history - Sega 32x/Sega CD, N64 DD, even the PS2 HDD was quickly abandoned and we all know how much we love our Hard Drives this generation and how important they are - Definitely a "next-gen" tech that flopped during the last generation due to being too expe...
I'd love a remake of the game, but I'd prefer it wasn't Squeenix that remade it. Lets face it, their track record for the last few years isn't encouraging: The Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery and yes, even FFXIII. They're not terrible games, but they're by no means highlights of the genre like FFVII was.
I think I'd prefer Mystwalker were given the task of doing it or something.

"2/3 second lag"[citation needed]
I'd very much like to think that Activision is being the big bad company here, but people seem to have misread the article - it clearly states that Infinity Ward were the ones pushing back AGAINST change. So it's IW that doesn't want change, not Activision.
Still, all we're hearing is a tiny bit of the full story. Best thing to do is wait and see instead of speculate.
Yeah, totally! I'm sick of this idiotic fanboy war, I wish everyone would just shut up and buy a 360 already.
Note: I AM being Ironic.
This is just a rumour and considering the attention grabbing headline, I wouldn't be surprised if it was just to get hits.
Microsoft knows that the only way Natal will be a success is if it's cheap. The only way Natal is going to cost this much is if it comes with an Xbox360. To me, that price point seems about right for a Console+Natal bundle.
The whole "PS3 games are too big to download" argument is rediculous. It doesn't matter how big it is, people will still download it. Look at the 1990's - most people were on dialup, 56kbps at best and yet they still downloaded entire CD images of games (about 650-700Mb). On a GOOD day, that's about 25-30hours of solid downloading, maxing out your connection.
Today, the average connection speed is somewhere around 4Mbit depending on where you live. 4Mbit can download a ...
That doesn't seem to bother the 50million+ Wii owners out there.
Jail? Crap. That would make a lot of sense. Got a link to an Article about that?
