Software is intellectual property and not a physical good. Yes, the medium is physical, but once you open it and put it in the machine, you have "consumed" it. It doesn't matter if you play it for 5 minutes or 5 hours, you have used the product. It's like returning an empty bottle of wine for a refund saying you didn't like it after you drank it. The entire software industry would be bankrupt if they allow people to return software for any reason. Would he also like people to b...
The 360 and Wii both have their share of stinkers. FarCry on the Wii? It should get a negative score if possible. 360? How about Bullet Witch? Or Vampire Rain. There is plenty of stinkage to go around. Fanboys need to let it go and move on... If Halo 3 sucks, I'll be here to admit it -- loud and clear...
The horrendous reviews and the comments from some of the reviewers (like taking a dump was more fun than playing lair for instance) are still a festering, oozing, pus-filled sore that is just throbbing painfully for the Sony Faithful. The Xbots continue to come in here and pick at the wound and you PS3 fans can't move on. Time to let this one die. Heavenly Sword is going to be great. Warhawk -- great. There are more on the near-term horizon. It's ok if the game stinks. Time to move on,...
I was all for supporting the developer in charging for the prologue, but that seems a bit steep in my opinion.
I'll get laid, have a beer, wait until the furor is over and then casually walk in and pick up my reserve. I can wait 48 hours for the craziness to die down.
But it isn't Gears, either. The Hair, faces, and pants on the soldiers in pic 4 are kind of low-res and "blocky". Overall, though, they game looks graphically solid and I'm a firm believer in Game first, Graphics second. I'm preordered and only playing campaign so I'm hoping it's 20+ hours...
I probably won't buy it because I can't do $60 bucks for 10 hours of gameplay, but I most certainly will rent it at some point or buy it used. Definitely looks like a great game. Of course I have to get my PS3 first, but I'm close... really close...
I thought 1 did a better job of telling the story than 2 did. I hope 3 has more intros, cutscenes, cinematics, and other background information to keep the story alive during gameplay. This little snippet proves I was right as I remembered pretty much everything from 1 but some of the stuff in 2 that they mention -- I must have been sleeping or something because I don't recall it...
Or is anti-Sony FUD cranking in full gear again? It settled down for a while after the price cut and an increase in sales, but it's back -- bigger and bolder than ever. Maybe it's the phase of the moon or something.
I forgot this little detail... Yes, killing BC would be a mistake in a discounted console. That would kill the deal for me as I couldn't sell/trade in my PS2 to keep the cost down and I could still play the few PS2 titles I have and have yet to buy -- I.e. god of war...
Do you get outside much? There aren't any exclusives that make me want to drop 5 or 6 bones on a PS3. I don't have an HD TV. I don't need/want blu-ray. I just want to play some games. There are a few exclusives in the very near term I want to play on the PS3. How does saying I'm interested in it for games at a good price being a troll or fanboy? To further illustrate the idiocy of your post, you said you count at least 25 people that say they would buy a PS3 if there is a price drop to...
I'm considering MP3, but I'm not a action/adventure fan at all. Zelda TP was certainly a well-crafted and amazing adventure game but I can't stand the format. I watched others play it and marveled out how well the whole thing was crafted, but all the puzzles, mazes, and exploration test my patience far beyond its limits. My understanding is that MP3 is the same type of game so no go until I can get it used in case I don't like it. As I've aged in gaming I've become of fan of the more line...
Well, I'd have to argue with "most advanced". As far as being used as a computer, I don't see the 360 running Linux and enabling full blown computing like the PS3 can. If I was going to do some hacking/communicating/planning via an electronic device, the PS3 certainly is the one that most fits the bill there of the three...
Great deal on the console, but, Sony, would you please stop marketing the thing as a damn blue ray player and instead sell it as a game console that just happens to come with a bonus blu-ray player? Stop packing in movies dammit and pack in some games! I want a PS3 for games, not a movie player. Plain and simple.
Has been made up for in the U.S. US sales jumped to a pretty big number as apparently N finally shipped enough consoles to get closer to demand in the U.S. I've seen them in stores a couple of times recently in Texas which is a first since launch. They are still better than a 2:1 over the PS3 though that number is dropping (as a ratio in Japan). On a worldwide basis, though, the Wii is still moving a lot of consoles.
I agree on the "boring" part. RE4 Wii was fun ...
I mean, really, what seasoned reviewer wouldn't see this "guide" as an insult to their intelligence and an attempt (a desperate one at that) to influence the outcome of reviews? The game didn't do well. Get over it and move on. It just makes Sony and their supports seem desperate when they do this sort of stuff. As usual, one wonders who approved this stupid guide in the first place. What a waste of time, effort, and money on the part of Sony/Factor 5.
P.S. Can...
This site never ceases to amaze me with its lack of bias in the news approval process. They banned hardware from three manufacturers -- MS, Sony, and Nintendo, but the MS one is the one that exists in the title.
It's not. I hated the controls and it just gets old really, really fast. I can't imagine actually spending 60 bucks on this game. Frankly I wouldn't spend a dime on it, but for people that are fans of this type of game *maybe* it's worth $19.95.
I'm not aware of the past of this game as a lost PS3 title. If it is, PS3 fans have lost absolutely nothing here.
I would jump on that deal in a MF heartbeat... I'd cancel my legendary order, and put the money into that deal. BUT Sony won't be doing that so I'll just play Halo 3 as my second choice. ;)
Will love this title. I'll bring it home as a surprise and I know it will be well-received. Anyone who enjoys Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Sims, and the like will probably thoroughly enjoy this title.
