Where are the two caps? Two or not, you also need at least one.
There's this little thing called a "period" and it is a little dot you use to complete a sentence -- before you start a new train of thought. It's down there between the "M" key and the right "Shift" key. Check it out man, they are the bomb.
Are you serious? The backgrounds were pretty, thats for sure, but they seemed "disconnected" from the racing game itself and the overall graphics quality and physics of the cars *on track* wasn't all that great in my opinion. Granted, I didn't play it for more than about 30-45 minutes, but the GTHD demo left me very underwhelmed and very uninterested. I wouldn't even BEGIN to compare GTHD to GT5 prologue as they aren't even in the same zip code graphically-speaking... We'll see ...
Yes, the playback is all rendered in real time and does reflect the overall hardware's power. But... to use Forza 2 as an example, the game looks pretty good when playing but there are a lot more physical calculations going on "in game". Once in replay, though, there are no longer any necessary calculations going on for control, physics, damage, etc. Everything is then played back from a "script" and a more significant percentage of the system's hardware can be dedicat...
But it's all "fly-by" footage and not in-game engine play. Can someone please point me to a High Def video of in-game play? There was a recent in game one but it was really small, highly compressed and hard to see. I love this big HD videos as they are so much nicer to look at.
Man, this game just moved back to the top of my list. I admit, I was starting to buy into the anti-hype about the graphics but whoa, those are pretty damn good screens. And yeah, way to go 1up on the "AI is not afraid to pilot vehicles any more". Nice way to show you didn't play H2 much. Grunts left my ass on more than one occasion when I didn't hop right in an available vehicle. I found myself hunting for my own ride more than once.
If you do just simple math and assume every day is a game shipping day, that's a little more than 2 new games every single day for the rest of the year. In a more likely shipping scenario, there are about 18 weeks in the year left so we would have to see about 15 new games made available each and every week.
These aren't in-game pix are they? They all look like replays or "attract mode" screens or something along those lines. Hopefully the in-game looks as good. We'll see soon, however, as the game ships in about a month... Hopefully they bundle this with the wireless racing wheel. If so I'll get one, the game, and have this and Forza 2 on a sweet steering wheel.
thanks for the feedback. I've only played the gears single player campaign so I can't speak for multi-player. I'm very interested in COD4 and if it can beat gears. I'm on the fence for a PS3 at the moment but will certainly get one by spring of next year when LBP and KZ2 are out. Right now most of the stuff I want is multi and I already have a 360. I hope GT5 and a couple of others really blow everything in existence out of the water but I'll just have to wait and see the actual gameplay...
This is just a question and I'm asking for an honest answer from multi-platform owners. I'm sure I'll just get a buch of disagrees and troll responses, but if you have a legitimate answer, please provide it.
goodness, I have a wii and I'm hoping at some point there are some good games to be had but this doesn't look like one. The graphics look like crap! The platform provides such an innovative way to play, it would be nice if 3rd parties actually made an effort...
EA sucks hairy sacks. They have now proven their lack of interest in turning out consistently high product quality. They screwed over PS3 fans in the US on Madden (although all versions of the game are buggy and suck to some degree) but they don't dare pull that same stunt in Soccer because the game would flop.
@ #8 "Ladies and gentleman, this is what competition yields."
I'm not sure if you are saying competition is good or bad, but it is most certai...
Why do the surface textures look so low-res? Is it the video or are they lower than those of dirt, forza, etc? The "in-game" ones are clearly obvious over the "replay" ones. All the video I have seen looks to have terribly low-res textures. Hopefully this won't look like a PS2 game but right now, while the track deformation and such is cool, the overall graphics polish isn't there and I won't buy it unless it is.
If EA putting effort into the PS3 this time has anything to do with the PS3s success in Europe and the popularity of football (soccer) over there?
There are so many next gen games that come oh so close but leave something on the table -- be it sound, graphics, voice acting, story line, atmosphere or whatever. The reason this game has received so many great reviews (10s) is because it provides a full experience without any one thing glaring in omission. It is rare that games are so fully well rounded and so well done. This is an artful masterpiece of a game and there's no denying it. How many games have come out in the history of gam...
The 360 is solid but this generation, gears and bioshock are pretty much pushing the hardware quite hard. Personally I think it looks freaking great and I can't wait to buy it. For those that keep harping on graphics (for this and the PS3 for that matter) the next generation of gaming must be what you are looking for -- that is when everything is near photo realism. Near photo realism is still difficult to achieve with the best animators utilizing very expensive (and not real time hardware...
I couldn't find one at any of my local EB games/gamestop stores. None actually had any regular versions in stock, either. No biggie since I don't usually buy at launch, but the game is pretty much sold out here in my area...
PS3>360 in July. It's like 2000 consoles total for the whole month. How does fanboy news like this get approved? Can't we get some objective reporting for a change? Nevermind that the DS, Wii, and PS2 stomped both of them for the month. Sheesh this is getting old.
Nintendo DS 45,755 45,700 25.15%
Wii 36,419 53,000 -14.11%

There are just too many people at EA now that are mediocre and are willing to accept mediocrity in their products. They need to prune the teams down to the best of the best and turn out a handful of amazing games to re-establish themselves as a competent developer. They have become too big, arrogant, and assuming. At some point it will catch up with them and it will be painful indeed. Regardless of platform, nothing out of EA lately really inspires. As for comparison of a PS3 vs. a 360 v...
Yeah, return of rumble --- that will be cool for sure. I like the rumble feature where the controller vibrates on the turn warning tracks.
@ Aizen. Nice try. They aren't the same sentence, dumb-ass. One is a Title, the other is a comment. Maybe you *should* try complete sentences for a change though you appear to be part of the sentence fragment generation. Aizen, please take note: You are the last person that should be offering grammar lessons.
