@Riot -- you do know that every major retailer has a 30 day return policy and over the holidays they will extend it. If you open the box and it is defective or fails within 30 days, you'll simply take it back for a new one. Try again.
It isn't just the PS3. Every version of Madden 08 has some serious issues in terms of bugs and such. The bottom line is EA screwed their fan base yet again. It's a last for me with EA.
Even if you pay for it, "breaking" the copy protection scheme or using one that is may be a violation of their terms of use. I'm almost certain that even if you buy it, posessing a hacked copy is considered illegal.
*Edit @ snoop -- sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant you would download a pirated version and buy the TRU one when available so you wouldn't be "stealing". My bad.
I hope the people who pirate this game (and others) rot in hell. This game is so well done -- from an artistic style -- that there is no doubt a ton of artistic talent went into the game and the developers deserve better than to watch people openly thieve their ideas and they see nothing from it.
I am cautiously looking forward to this game. Is it just me or do the cars seem very "stiff" and "rigid"?
Um, October is still fall. And this delay is rather short in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed it later to avoid stepping on Halo toes. Regardless there are so many good games this fall on the 360 I'm going to have to get a job as the wal-mart greeter to pay for the extra games. Oh, snap, you already took that job.
what a worthless article.
Even if it does have DVD playback, there isn't a remote (at least that we know of) and lacking one certainly makes DVD playback near worthless.
Just called target. They said they no longer have any more "preorders" to be able to sell. Goofballs. They won't take an order -- I spoke to a supervisor... Nothing to see here. Move on...
Don't underestimate that extra 100 gigs. Excepting the fact that 100 bucks for 100 gigs isn't really a very good deal, the XBOX live marketplace has been delivering so many demos that I filled my 20 gig drive in nothing flat. I now wish that I had bought an elite instead. At some point I will probably buy the 120 upgrade when it is a bit more "reasonable" Microsoft really should have cut it to two skus, though, and upped the size of all hard drives. Or something. Too many skus...
You are a loser with no life, no hope, and no future. Go to a bank, take out a loan, and buy a clue. You need one.
It might be that they are shift consoles around different regions to meet demand. It might be better to look at PS3 vs. Wii sales on global basis over the year. I think you can get historical data on vgchartz.
Microsoft is only doing what any corporate entity trying to make money would do: capitalize on media hype to the greatest extent possible. Though the special halo edition consoles, happy meals, and feminine itch creams don't appeal to me, it's capitalism, buddy. Sony would be doing the same if the had a current IP that was as hot as halo 3. Stop being such whiny baby fanboys.
a trolls hairy sack. I truly can't believe a developer would turn out this kind of crap and expect it to sell. The project manager or other responsible person for the overall development of this title should be terminated.
This may just be a 1 day deal... They had forza two on amazon yesterday for 39.99. Today it's back to 54.99.
I don't think 499 is the magical price point for the masses. Keep in mind that *currently* the vast majority of people buy their gaming consoles to do one thing: play games. Imagine that. There was a post here just yesterday about that very topic. The 360 hasn't exactly been flying off shelves at 399, either, and it does have a very solid game library. The "mass-market" point of entry is probably more like $299 for pretty much everyone who wants a console to not give it a thou...
You buy the version for the console you own. Duh. There are very few that own both the PS3 and 360 and will have to make that choice.
They do talk about those that are unaware of certain features, but the also say "apathetic". There are probably quite a few like me that have a next gen console and don't really care about certain features. Music and Video, for instance, on my 360. Don't care about it. I just want to play games. Also keep in mind that there are an awfully lot of people who buy electronics and never bother to learn anything beyond the basics. The group of people on N4G are not those people but...
I believe region controls will stand up in a court of law and the terms and conditions in both the console and software will likely prop up their ability to defend region controls in court...
I want to know what else Bongie develops.
