It's not really a spoiler and doesn't give anything away other than showing that it can be done.
These are beautiful no doubt, but I want to see some in-game photos and/or videos.
Then compare... They don't even come close in person. MP2 was a great game and pushed the PS2, but the current version (the demo) plays much smoother and has a lot of things that aren't apparent in these shots.
It sure seems that this game has come a long way, graphically, than what was seen in some of the early screenshots. Graphically overall it looks pretty damn good. It's certainly more of a "comic book superhero" art style than, say, a rotting, broken-down city like gears or killzone, but that's fine with me as I'm tired of the gray-brown worlds of the many FPSs that have recently or are recently hitting the market. This is one of the few games that will most certainly get my money...
And were a die-hard halo fan... would you not be seriously tempted to grab a burned DVD off the line and play it?
I have a July unit that is a replacement for my failed 1st 360. Mine had a DVD failure and not the RROD. The one I have now was a new replacement, just like his... It has the new heatsink and obviously the newer CD ROM as it is quiet as a mouse. It doesn't run anywhere NEAR as hot as the previous unit did. Clearly the heat sink is working.
That said, there are all sorts of things that could have gone wrong. The fans in the rear could have been left unplugged when it was as...
Same EA, Same suck. Put a little polish on their turds and put it out for more money. Pretty soon they'll just send out a cardboard box with "EA Sports" written on the side in magic marker. Open it up and find last year's game with a note inside: "thanks, sucka!"
By Sony's doing, Microsofts doing, or other FUD-planters, I think the PS3 has been the recipient and/or perpetrator of more goofy things than I have every seen in an electronic product's launch.
Why is it your last chance? Have you not played any games on it lately? Go pick up Bioshock or any other of the AAA titles on the console.
Gamespot (at least lately) seems to be hitting sequels pretty hard in the score department just for being a sequel instead of new IP. If they game is astounding I'd bet they still won't go better than low 9s at best. They gave bioshock 'only' a 9 which is really surprising given how many people think the game is near (or in fact) perfect in every way.
I preferred the H2 single player over H1. It was shorter to some degree but part of that was the user already being familiar with controls and the whole "halo" environment. Better vehicles, more guns, less repetition (Crossing the stupid bridges repeatedly in H1 FTL), etc.
I don't do multiplayer so I can't speak to that, but I'm very much looking forward to the single player campaign.
Yes, I forgot Jericho. I thought the same thing when I first saw the details on the game.
Flirting with an AO rating at this point?
I think what people are forgetting is the multi-role the PS3 plays. It is a game console AND a Blu-ray player. I suspect a lot of people have bought PS3s and don't have a high def TV or they bought it solely as a game machine and aren't really into high def movies. That latter two instances would mean that the "blu-ray player" that is the Sony PS3, for these two scenarios, doesn't sell movies.
On the other hand, the HD-DVD dedicated player purchaser most certainly ...
I don't have my PS3 yet but I do have a 360 so I guess that makes me a bot. Of course they are going to say they can't do it on DVD because it is their game, exclusive on Blu-ray, right?
That said, I don't see 10Gigs as really that much audio, though. I have an awful lot of MP3 music that are extended mixes. I generally rip them at 192KBPS minimum to keep the sound quality high. In order to preserve the high quality of surround sound it wouldn't take long to create 10 gigs ...
Many of the surfaces in Unreal Engine games look great but they are too shiny and plastic looking. Stranglehold didn't impress graphically but you can see Unreal fingerprints all over it. There are other games as well that aren't mind boggling on the U3 Engine and they all have the same plastic look.
On topic: Of course they are going to praise it -- they want to drive other developers onto the platform.
The key here is, though, that 2K used a "heavily mod...
She is unbelievable.
On the internet, magazines, on cable, Adult video stores. If you need to look at naked women and can't attract one of your own, at least look at something real.
Personally I prefer the real thing -- live and in person. But hey, I guess weirdos can dream, eh?
They should release a solid product where any types of achievements, car upgrades, career stats, etc. can be held onto when the full game arrives. It will have to be a little more than, say, the Forza 2 demo and have more than 1 track and a 15-20 cars to play, but it is intellectual property and they certainly should use the opportunity to help fund the full game and allow it to be the best it can be. I certainly don't think it should be too expensive, though... maybe 20 25 bucks?
I was going to get a PS3 with the 150 off credit card deal, but the early reviews of Lair (only game this fall I'm truly interested in) swayed be away. I'm looking forward to KZ2 and LBP next march so hopefully they do it by then. I'm basically on standby...
