Do we get to see her naked?
But graphically still no Motorstorm or Dirt. I'd like to see car damage and the physics of the car handling look a little "stiff".
I've got a semi. I need to play. Now.
Ah, from Amazon... Amazon sales data has proven quite worthless in the past. NPD numbers are really the only sure thing and a second, albeit not as close to the real numbers, is vgchartz. I think I'll pass on this news as being any representation of reality.
Visually it won't blow anyone away but the demo was addictive, mindless fun. Nothing like shooting a guy in the sack from a distance, lol. Or knee... or forehead. It's max payne on steroids.
Where do they get this data from?
Well if it's more of a FPS and less of an adventure game I'm going to grab it. I didn't like the previous iterations wandering around and heavy "adventure" nature much. There was way too much back tracking and it got tedious.
The controls sound like a refined version of redsteel which to me had the makings of a great game but just responded too slowly. There's nothing quite like moving and strafing with the left analog stick and pointing where you want to face and ...
I'm a marginal developer at best and without a good set of supporting tools for development, I suck, and therefore the end product will suck.
Given that it is a PC title, it certainly isn't a stretch to say that "porting" it to the Xbox 360 would be fairly quick and low cost (for a next-gen port that is).
That said... from the industry grumblings, it does seem that a PS3 announcement might be in the works.
Either way, they game looks killer.
Plain and simple -- it doesn't matter what you are selling. There is a price point where your product (assuming it has mass appeal) reaches a point where the majority of buyers (early adopters, leaders, and many laggards) are buying into the product. On the 360, mass majority pricing has not been reached. If the author of this article had a clue about economics relationships and market pricing, he wouldn't have written such a numbskull article. The Wii has proven that $250 is a price poin...
Do you have a link to this information? (hoping there is information about a number of games I'm curious about)
I'm actually really looking forward to this "application". Users may generate content that looks like mario, master chief, big daddies, or whatever, but I highly doubt Sony themselves would put anything resembling any copyright/trademark they don't own because it would be a shiitstorm following. But then again, as they say, even bad press is good press...
VG chartz has readily and will readily admit their data is not more accurate than NPD. You really are an ass-clown.
You are kidding, right? You actually think NPD -- an independent agency that charges significant sums for their data gathering and analysis is actually putting out fake numbers? Damn, man, go to the bank, take out a loan, and buy a clue. NPD has been around a long time and they know what they are doing. A)MS wouldn't pay them to report false numbers and B)NPD wouldn't risk it as they would lose their entire client base due to massive distrust. Step on out of the trailer park, cut off tha...
Once of my favorite features on Forza 2 is crash damage. If they can get this part right and also add some modeling of the way the car will change due to damage -- i.e. pull to the right or something after some front right damage, this will be sweet indeed.
So here's a question: What about all the fanboy people who defended GT5 not having crash damage and saying it wasn't necessary or they didn't want it because it was stupid to try to model it in the first place? Are they n...
Though I admit GT5 is looking stunning at this point and is certainly poised to set the bar higher yet, calling Forza 2 an Ant is a bit ridiculous. It is an exceptionally well made game and physics engine is top notch. If you actually played it without your fanboy goggles, you'd say the same...
Edit -- @ DJ -- reread my comment. It says "certainly poised to set the bar higher yet" What part of that is unclear? My point is Forza 2 is no "Ant" in compari...
Come on man, credit where credit is due...This game is looking pretty solid. I've got PGR3 and Forza 2 and they are pretty decent, but GT5 is looking very, very good.
As far as popups are concerned, go get Firefox and add the Ad Block Plus plugin. It will kill about 98% of pop ups, banners, scrollers, flash ads, and damn near every other annoying type of advertisement that appears on pretty much every website you visit.
The game is clearly coming along nicely and is poised to set the new standard in Racing. Obviously we won't know much about the whole aspect of handling and physics until people get their hands on the game but it does look extremely promising at this point.
I'm wondering if they have the NES like graphics in the rear view mirror as a developer's joke at this point. Clearly the hardware can handle it but all previous (including this one) have really block rear-view mirror scen...
Space Giraffe got a 2/10 on OXM and 4.5/10 on team xbox... The game in a futuristic tempest-type arcade game. To give it and Bioshock the same score defies any sane reviewers logic. They aren't even close... If SG is an 8, Bioshock is an 12. Man, these reviews are whacked out.
The objectives weren't always super clear nor did the game always register them properly when apparently done correctly. Aside from a few issues, the graphics are pretty good..
Unfortunately, though, rather than try a 20th or so time on a particular scene to get it perfect, I would rather be buried up to my neck in fire ants and stabbed in the eyes with forks than play another second. Pass.
