Looks good, so the first game comes to current consoles since Bungie looks to have been working off current hardware for the past few years. Xbox 360 gets it this year? Seems like a year later the PS3 get it, then the next year both the PS4 and 720 will get the sequel?
Seems like that is the plan.
I think the fact that people even have to bring it up is causing more issues than anything else. I think gamers just like to game, they don't usually have a deeper meaning or anything. In Dead Island I played as the black rapper, I'm white, but the guy seemed cool, skin color didn't matter.
I have to admit that it was the PS1, after only playing 16 bit games on the SNES and Genesis I was totally blown away by the PS1. I mean Tomb Raider, Crash, Medievil, Final Fantasy VII, Spyro, Twisted Metal, Metal Gear Solid, Odd World, Resident Evil and does anyone remember the 989 Gameday football series? That game was just epic and I remember being blown away by it.
I am probably older then a lot of people here, but that was really a great memory in gaming for me. PS2 was ...
$500 for a new console is too expensive, I don't like to ride one horse the whole time in any generation, I already have a Wii U because it met my criteria, price and backwards compatibility.
I cant really afford to pay $500 apiece for two new consoles, I don't know much aside from the rumors, so I'm intrigued by the reveal. I think people are just lying to themselves if they are actually saying they are on board for no backwards compatibility or try to claim pay...
I have a pretty nice collection, closing in on 250 Xbox 360 games alone. I don't like the eco friendly cases that they've come out with, the games can crack because there is no support on the back. I've had to rebuy games because of that.
I have about 20 steel book cased games as well, all the Halo's and Gears games of course.
Seems like they are trying to poke the bears a bit as it were, they used to be able to do things like that because they were dominating the market, now that things are more even I think people just look at it as immature.
All the slogans in the world aren't going to goad me into getting a PS4 if it's more than $400, not backwards compatible and cant play used games. I have a huge collection of PS1/PS2/PS3 games, I don't want 10 consoles hooked up. That goes for M...
How would a simple game tester be privy to what Gearbox spent money for Aliens on? I mean tester is something everyday people can do. I don't think he knows the inner workings or anything like that, also the fact that he removed his post could mean troll.
I played the game, thought it was okay, not great, but not as terrible as some of the reviews are saying.
Skyrim was a much longer and better game in my opinion, and the inventory system was far superior. I enjoyed The Witcher 2 as well, but the first chapter was a real bore, and there are only 3 chapters to begin with! Skyrim was like a whole new world, when I got that game I was blown away, and I hated Oblivion, I never even got out of the first cave.
I think that games, like everything else is just depending on opinions. I liked them both, but I spent months on Skyrim and only...
No doubt the Xbox 360 is successful, I doubt after the first Xbox managed only 24 million sold that anyone dreamed the successor would be closing in on 80 million sold. It's a huge number and a great success. They were one of two console makers that saw gains from the previous console.
Cant wait to see what they and Sony have in store for us next generation.
Xbox 360 with the only growth year over year here in the states, the Xbox brand is a beast no doubt about it. Glad to see Halo 4 still on the charts as well, cant stand that BO2 is still there as well though.
Microsoft is doing the exact same thing as Sony and Nintendo, they just advertise it better. The games will be there, they've opened a ton of studios to ensure of that, they put so much money into their games that the quality is stellar, just look at Halo 4 and Forza Horizon, those came at the tail end of the Xbox 360 and are now two of my all time favorite games!
Nintendo has apps, Sony has Apps, Nintendo tries to capture both audiences, so does Sony and Microsoft.
Luigi has his fans, I remember the backlash when the Gamecube launched with Luigi's Mansion, now that game is looked at like a gem and people asked for another so often that they made a sequel for the 3DS.
I personally prefer Luigi being that I'm a younger brother, so I'm definitely all in for the year of Luigi.
Hmmm, this could be bad if they don't offer any actual hardware backwards compatibility. I guess I'll wait to get actual real information, but backwards compatibility is high on my list of features for next generation. I cant have 10 consoles hooked up.
Looking forward to seeing what Bungie can do, could be one last great game on the Xbox 360, or it could be a launch title for the next Xbox? Things are getting exciting if you are a gamer.
I wasn't a big fan of Connor, he didn't seem to have the story that Ezio had. I also didn't like where the story in the series went with AC3, they should have went somewhere else a few games ago when they had the chance. I got suckered into AC3 because of how good it looked, but in the end it's not even in my top 3 AC games.
I think it means Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC. I highly doubt we'd see it on current consoles and next generation ones as well. Since no official new console has been announced by Microsoft or Sony, we can assume that Ubisoft will probably want to get this great looking game out to the larger install base.
That is just my take on it though, I could be wrong, but I cant remember a time when a game released for current consoles and next gen ones at the same time.
Wonder when the rumors will end? It wouldn't make sense to start a generation with physical media and then stop that way of distribution. I don't believe the overall speed and caps on peoples internet right now would allow this. I have a 150 gig a month limit, which I actually already almost hit on a monthly basis because of Netflix and Hulu ect...
I doubt companies that are very fond of making money would limit themselves or send people running to the competition.
I know people are upset because they used to develop strictly for Sony, but it doesn't make sense for smaller 3rd party studios to stick to that model and still make money. I think the game looks interesting and could turn out pretty good. I'll definitely not condemn a game before I've even played it or seen anything much on it.
I might actually check this out, I didn't buy the game on Xbox 360 because I bought Forza Horizon instead, but if the Wii U is getting the definitive version I'll have to give it a whirl. There hasn't been a ton releasing lately anyway, so what the heck?
I'm 27 as well, I loved Game Day 98! I still have my copy. I even had a PS1 slim in my car in the early 2000's.
I think that console was inventive and changed gaming forever. I mean duel shock rocked my world, and the first Gran Turismo was earth shattering... so many great memories...Metal Gear Solid was my first "All nighter" where I stayed up all night to beat a game.
