CGI trailers for games, no price point or release date talked about, they will talk up their past success with the PS1/PS2.

They will talk about some games like GT6 and Last Guardian that wont be launch titles, but pipeline titles.

The machine they show off will end up looking different that what will be available and at some point during it's life they will remove some features.

I'd say 2, or at the most 3. The Xbox 360 has a slightly larger size since the update a year or so ago. I think they hold close to 9 gigs each now? So I'd guess 2, maybe 3. Which isn't too bad at all.

Well now that they've canned Medal Of Honor, how long do you think before we see a Battlefield/Bad Company game on a bi yearly basis? Which is pretty much the same thing since the COD games are actually developed by different teams and on a two year cycle as well.

I wonder if they'll show it off on super high end PC's that hardly anyone has, or if they'll actually show off some console footage for a change?

Looks like Sony and Microsoft will be releasing consoles with similar options.
1.Both launching with a camera right out of the box
2.Both offering a premium online service needed to access certain features.
3.Both using a "Smart Glass" type of feature to control the consoles. Further trying to get the tablet/smartphone people involved.

The last thing I take from this is that the ability to sign in multiple accounts on the same console is some...

Does anyone think we'll see actual gameplay footage? I think we might see a little, but we'll probably see CGI footage of what they hope it'll look like, sort of like E3 2005 with the PS3.

This game is looking very good, so many good games coming out this year, and new consoles. Hopefully I'll have the money to get everything I want.

They over-saturated a niche game, and it wouldn't have been so bad, but there were multiple knock offs that came around and even two games in the same series in the same year. I think people just kind of got sick of it.

Had there just been Rockband every two years or Guitar Hero every two years, it would have done well, and would probably still be going strong.

I do think we'll see it, or something like it again one day.

You basically said exactly what I was going to say, Microsoft has the money to offer a full entertainment experience without it hurting gamers.

Yesterday I made a comment in an article about how the PS4 was going to be heavily integrated with social networks, apps like Youtube ect.. All the Sony fans were in favor of it, yet if Sony were to advertise the PS4 for it's apps, it'd be the greatest thing ever, not so for Microsoft though apparently.

Sony...

Looking forward to seeing the actual reveal, the ball is clearly in Microsoft's court. You always want the last word in a conversation, and considering how well they did this generation, the people who own an Xbox 360 are going to be anxiously awaiting what the next Xbox has to offer.

Not buying into any of the rumors from either the Sony nor the Microsoft camps. Looking forward to a well rounded experience on all the consoles.

Just because Microsoft advertised their entertainment packages doesn't mean they switched focus from gaming. When the 720 comes out, they should have ample first party titles for release because they've had extra time, at the same time they've managed to give 360 owners the AAA blockbuster titles that they bought their 360's for in the first place.

I realize this place is the Sony Defense Force, but people need to realize the double standard they have for thei...

So basically it's integrated with all the things that people have been hating on the Xbox 360 for having? Cool beans.

For those not familiar with what "trending" is, there is a top 10 list on Twitter that pops up for whatever is the most tweeted thing, everyone on that was tweeting about Destiny, take it for what it's worth.

I wouldn't downplay the game, it might not be my cup of tea, but it is more than obvious that a ton of people were excited for it.

Well there isn't many other things a console can do, motion controls was pretty much it. I think Nintendo is obviously trying to capture people interests with the Wii U, but it isn't going to catch on like the Wii did, it can still be very successful, but I seriously doubt that consoles hit that 100 million mark in the future.

There are too many variables, like when/if they cut out used games, backwards compatibility and eliminating physical media. These things will ...

Well while I don't believe rumors, the official Microsoft documents states that at least one model of the Xbox 720 will be priced at $299. As for Nintendo, I think they expected their new hardware to sell at that price for a year and then lower the price and introduce great software to compete with the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft.

Competition is great, and price wars pays off for the consumers.

I think Sony will release their consoles at $399 a...

Not at all, it's like when people thought Microsoft was crazy by releasing Halo 4 a week before the new COD. That turned out fine, Halo 4 is still in the top 10 for sales all these months later.

I think what's going to hamper Destiny is that it requires you to be online at all times, you cant even play the campaign without being online. This might turn off quite a few potential buyers.

This isn't a surprise, what is a surprise is that we'll be getting such a huge release on current hardware when new hardware will already be out.

Was I the only one to cringe when they mention leading us into a digital future? Never liked being forced to do the digital thing, which is why I was happy the PSPGO flopped. I will always want my physical media, and I have a feeling that Sony is pushing hardest to eliminate physical media.

The main reason I CANT get into digital is because of a bandwidth cap, 150 gigs a month and most of that goes to normal day to day use as it is. Every Youtube video, Hulu show or Netflix ...

Would be interesting to see if it does come to the Wii U, I think the fact that it is a MMO type of shooter that it probably wont be the best game graphically, usually open world games tend to have average graphics, so I could see the Wii U being an option. The first game at any rate, mostly because the Wii U is more powerful than the PS3/360, and since the first game is coming to those systems, it could easily come to the Wii U as well.

I don't travel to a lot of sites, but I do a lot on social networks and #Bungie as well as #Destiny were trending all day and night world wide on Twitter.

People were pretty excited by the prospect of what was being promised. Personally I think finding out that you can only play the game while being online was a bit of a downer, and they didn't really show anything, I still think no publicity is bad in this case.
