I was more or less talking about one of the four new IP's Black Tusk Studios is making, ya know, Microsoft's new core studio?
We all heard about PlayStation World, which is looking like it'll be Sony paid online service, and they busted out the Move,a camera, apps, and entertainment services. I keep saying that you cant just cater to a single crowd.
Dude you think MS is the only company known for blowing smoke? Do I need to remind you of E3 2005 ...
Not sure how I feel about a camera always watching me, what if Sony tried to invade my privacy?
I'm not sure why this should come as a surprise. I believe it was last E3 that it was rumored to be coming to consoles, people saw it running on an Xbox 360 back then.
Not sure why it matters to be honest.
Obviously it wont be popular around these parts, but if the next Xbox is backwards compatible with physical disks, that would be a huge win for Microsoft.
I personally believe that having to re-buy games you've already bought, just for the right to stream them over the internet isn't backwards compatibility at all. Not sure what that is, but backwards compatibility it sure as hell isn't.
I was just curious why you think Watch Dogs will play better on the PS4 as opposed to the 720? We haven't heard a single thing about the next Xbox, but it is safe to say that most likely everything that is third party will be as equal as can be.
You beat me to it, it was a PC just like the demo at E3.
It seems a bit redundant to have to pay for games you've already paid for in the past in order to play them on the new console.
You could say "just keep your old consoles", but if you are a multiple console owner like me, that isn't realistic. I mean are we supposed to keep a PS2, PS3 and PS4 all hooked up? I can understand a PS4 not being able to play PS3 games, but why not PS1/PS2 games? Those weren't Cell, my PSP can emulate those games.

Well they could actually show off the new console at the announcement for the new console.
I don't think there would be much to top honestly, show the console, show some of the features. Sony busted out Move, so I don't see a problem with showing off an improved Kinect, just keep it short and sweet.
Show off a new Microsoft first party core IP, which is something Sony didn't do.
Show more than tech demo's and trailers that we&...
If you think they are going to release those specs, probably at least a 500 gig HDD and that controller for $399, you might need to be committed.
At the very cheap end we might see a $450 price point, and at the high end I'd say $599. Some of what they have seems like overkill, but we'll see.
They usually double the specs for dev kits, so we heard 16 core and 15 gigs, I'd count on at least 8-10 cores and at least 8 gigs on memory.
What was bad about it? We saw no console! Had that been Microsoft's show and they pulled that, you'd be saying the same thing. How can you have a console reveal without a console?
It is the same complaint I heard around here when Nintendo first showed off the Wii U Gamepad. Sony has a new controller to show off, some tech demo's we've already seen, some trailers, a trailer we saw last year, and Killzone which obviously was being made on the PS3 and is being po...
Console announcement without the console......that is a bold strategy, lets see if it pays off.
They didn't even announce that it had a Blu Ray drive until after the event.
They didn't show off the actual PS4 at all, it reminded me of Nintendo's E3 where they just showed off the controller. I thought it was a decent show, some CGI and tech demo's, and one of the previews we already saw.
I am reminded of the Ian Malcolm line from Jurassic Park "There will be dinosaurs on this dinosaur tour right?".
I kept thi...
Despite low units sold in January, the Wii U is actually ahead of where the PS3 and the Xbox 360 were at the same point and time. They haven't really shown or announced any of the big AAA software.
Right now it is a guessing game with prices for the PS4 and the 720, but they could cost upwards of $500 and Nintendo has room to lower the Wii U's price. I could see a $250 standard edition Wii U by the time a $400-$500 PS4 comes out.
I mean when people sa...
I thought it was okay, I mean the graphical power was impressive. I like that they showed some Move stuff, some social media stuff, some entertainment media and I like the camera stuff.
At the very least it's clear Sony and Microsoft have a lot of the same ideas when it comes to the next generation.
The third party stuff impressed me a ton, I thought it drug on a bit too long and not seeing any type of PS4 console was very similar to the Wii U announcem...
Lets hope Microsoft comes out with similar specs, my hope is fanboys on both sides wont have the "power" argument.
In all honesty though, the first Xbox was the most powerful console and it was rarely taken advantage of, most third party games were made on PS2 hardware and ported.
The PS3 was the more powerful console and was rarely taken advantage of, most third parties games were made on 360 dev kits and ported to PS3.
So it'...
I'm a gamer too, but we know next to nothing about the PS4 at this point and time. To say your going to run and put money on something you've never seen, don't know anything about including the price is just crazy.
This isn't 1999, there isn't going to be shortages.
Microsoft hasn't released any information, just like the rumored specs on the PS4 were wrong, why believe rumors on the next Xbox?
Pre-order? We have no price, release date or idea of what the console looks like.
The truth of the matter is that because of all the mashed up different headsets used with the PS3, the voice chat quality often suffered. If you look at Xbox Live, it was much clearer and that is because everyone had to use a uniform standard headset, or a higher quality Tritton or Turtle Beach.
A Standard headset will do wonders for the communication when it comes to voice chat on the PS4.
