I'm not a child, I pay the bill just like all my other bills. I mean I have a $5 a month checking account fee that is more than my Xbox Live bill per month.
Also, I can get television for free, but I choose to pay for premium services. It'd be like complaining about paying extra for HBO when you already pay for normal cable. Premium is premium and if you don't like it, don't buy it, there are alternatives.
Honestly Sony probably could have skipped Blu Ray last gen and they would have been in a better position this generation.
The PS3 would have been cheaper and would have gotten higher saturation because of it. I think since games are getting huge now, this is the perfect time for Blu Ray to shine, Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are all taking advantage of bigger space. Considering some of the next gen games are supposed to be 50 gigs and higher, I couldn't imagine a digital...
Microsoft NEVER responds to rumors or speculation. The PS4 was heavily rumored last year to block used games and require an online connection as well. How did that turn out? I didn't hear Sony deny it at the time either.
You cant be so quick to jump on Microsoft for doing the exact same thing as Sony in the same exact situation, and we all know you damn well never speak anything bad about your master Sony.
They didn't even introduce Online Passes this generation, why on earth would they be the only ones to use a used game block? Use your heads, not gonna happen.
Well I can only speak for myself, but we all saw that amazing Gears Of War footage before the Xbox 360 launched. I was going to wait and see with the 360, but bought one at launch for Gears Of War, which came out 6 months later. You do always want that big new IP at a transition, Halo, Gears and hopefully something big from Black Tusk.
Sony does the same thing, launched with Resistance.
Why not just put up a title that says Microsoft hands Sony the next generation, doesn't mind giving up half their current user base!
Honestly Microsoft makes money on used games because most people buy Xbox Live Gold, they never even implemented Online Passes for first party games this generation. I highly doubt they will want people to go into a Gamestop and see only Sony and Nintendo items for sale, heck I doubt Gamestop would even sell their next console if it blocked ...
Exactly my point, Sony had variety with the PS1 and PS2. Those consoles were loved by kids, teens, parents and even grandparents, they had something for everyone.
Sony has been a huge innovator in the gaming market, but something happened between the PS2 and the PS3 and they lost some of that. Sony is at its best when they bring their own ideas to the table, not copy others.
This comment will get a lot of hate, but Sony used to be awesome, I think they stil...
Exactly my point! How can there be such a double standard? That is why, as a Xbox user and fan, not "fanboy", I smiled a bit when I saw Move and a focus on media. It means Microsoft will have some leeway.
This is the thing as I see it.
1.The reason for the market crash was that there was no quality control of video games. Anyone could make and publish a game for the Atari 2600.
2.We might never see the success we have had in previous generations, but if the Wii U, PS4 and Xbox 720 all hit 50 million within 5 years, that is still successful.
3.Digital only cannot work for gamers right now, I have a 150 gig bandwidth cap, streaming Netflix gets me pretty...
Do you actually hear yourself? Out of the three console makers Microsoft has the most money to survive and saying the moment they aren't popular they will abandon the gaming market is one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard.
It's like saying the moment a version of Windows isn't globally loved they will drop out of the OS market. Come on now, they are in it for the long haul, they have done a great job at capturing the North American market and they ar...
I bet you said the same thing about the Vita?
I actually agree with you, Jack Tretton came out and said none of the specs or design were final for the PS4, so why hold a show about the console when they did then?
I seem to remember people flipping out because Nintendo didn't actually show the Wii U at E3 a couple of years ago, just the controller. Sony does the same exact thing and all of a sudden it's a "game changer".
The only place I've seen positive remarks about the Sony press...
I'd say that Microsoft should show off the next Xbox, I know some people will defend Sony's move of not showing it off, but if they believe in it so much, and think it's the future of gaming, why hide it?
Microsoft should show off their next console, and I wouldn't want them to waste too many surprises as far as games, they will have time for that at E3. Show some solid 3rd party support, maybe show one new IP, but honestly I just want to see the damn thing. ...
Because people want variety, Nintendo has always done its own thing, love it or hate it. They don't need to be like anyone, in fact the current generation saw Microsoft and Sony trying to be more like Nintendo, and nobody seemed to like that very much.
You need 3 different types of companies that offer their own view on gaming, not 3 sheep following each other.
Uh oh
All the people who complained will take a back seat now, the game has always looked fantastic and I'm glad I pre-ordered it a while ago.
Looks to be one of the best in the franchise, cant wait to play through it.
This is not good news to kick off a push for the PS4, tough to spin it, but I'm glad the Sony defense force is out at N4G per usual.
Really? 3 months and it's dead.
Most are Kinect studios? Get out of here. When was the last first party Kinect game released? Fable The Journey? They haven't even been releasing Kinect first party games.
I read something like this earlier, I actually think it will play used games, but every game will require an activation code to play, not just an online pass. So basically you'll have to buy a $10 pass or something.
I honestly think they are waiting to see what Microsoft is doing before they tell the truth of the matter.
