Frankly, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have behaved abysmally towards long-standing Playstation fans of the franchise and they still continue to do so. It is already July and yet neither has said much about the release on PS4. If they do not want to, or are doing so reluctantly, then they should not be surprised why the franchise is doing so badly now. It is so clear that Playstation and PC gamers are the ones who have supported the franchise the most and yet you would not know that fac...

The fact of the matter is that EA has realized that exclusivity on the Xbone has hurt the new franchise and Titanfall has done poorly for what was supposed to be THE major new AAA IP. EA is rabidly pro-Microsoft and this new desire to make Titanfall multi-platform is not from any goodwill towards gamers as in that case the game would have been multi-platform from the outset. EA did not care about wanting to ensure "more people that can enjoy them the better" with Titanfall and had...

Any PS exclusives announced at TGS will most likely be those IPs that are popular in Japan foremost but may also include those already shown at E3 and later. I suspect we will see any major new announcements prior to TGS and then at PSX in December.

I hope Sega finally brings something worthwhile - a new Shining Force would be welcome. I also wouldn't mind a new 'Vandal Hearts' from Konami but I suspect these IPs are long forgotten and with Konami focusing on...

As much as I respect Miyamoto, he doesn't get it right all the time. For all we know, VR may well be successful and the PSVR, the Rift and Vive may well be the frontrunners in the industry by virtue of the fact that they are the first ones to take the risk. Every new tech is a risk and it has as much chance of succeeding as it has of failing. Sony has had some failures but it also has had many successes over the last three decades, in both in aural and visual technologies as well har...

Humans are to blame. I watch all kinds of movies and play all kinds of games, some of them very violent - I don't go around blowing people up! Why? Because I like people, have a 'live and let live' attitude to all aspects of life including race, religion, and sexuality. There is no religion that tells people to go and kill others in order to get what they want. All this bullshit is made up by human beings who are warping the facts to suit their ideology and desires. Any re...

Well if the devs wanted to be realistic, the only female combatants were those in women-only battalions created by the Russian Provincial Government in 1917 in an attempt to boost morale and by all accounts, the women who fought performed well in combat but their involvement was limited.

Unless the game is focussing on any of these particular battles, it would be unrealistic to shoehorn women soldiers into a game just to appease modern sensibilities when the battles depicte...

@aiBreeze

You sum up the situation accurately. Cameron and co never took the threat of exit seriously and when there was time to do something about it, those responsible such as EU officials and various leaders ignored the opportunity to address the concerns of a lot of British people but instead took the situation for granted or chose to make threats as you point out.

To be honest, there comes a point when people will just not respond to threats, doom a...

Well, whatever the inspiration was, this new God Of War looks lovely and even in the short gameplay we were shown at E3, the action seemed brutal and raw. Kratos may want to change and for the right reasons, but I suspect it is going to be a truly testing time for him, not least because he seems unable to bond with his son. I am glad we don't have to wait too long to play the game!

Well now that Pachter has opened his mouth, I am worried about NX.

@MagicBeanz

Exactly, but now they will spin this as being a good thing which it actually is but Xboners always like to criticize delays to Sony games. Considering Microsoft's presentation at E3 took place just over 10 days ago, Phil must have been aware of the delay.

@MK24ever

First of all, not all Brits voted to exit. The vote was very close - 52% to 48% and many of us actually like the idea of diversity and a global outlook. Secondly, the rest of your rambling just reveals what prejudices you carry and you show yourself to be no better than some of the idiots you complain about.

Grab em' while they are young...have a market for life!

But, if this encourages positive results as far as understanding what is involved in building societies and communities then by all means. Learning while playing is a good thing.

A ridiculous article that touts personal and biased opinion as fact. The writer decries fanboyism but then indulges in it WHOLESALE. One only has to consider some of the statements the writer makes:

"We’re still some ways off from a lot of what Sony put out there", referring to Sony's showing of exclusives still in development (God of War, Spiderman, etc.) So? The fact is that year on year Sony releases more exclusives than Microsoft (as of now there are n...

Sony will have several presentations throughout the year - at Gamescom, perhaps Paris, Tokyo and, of course, PSX which has taken place over the last two years in December. What Sony usually shows at E3 are the games that have the highest profile and are usually still a year or two away from release.

They did not focus at all on indies at E3 this time but most gamers know that Sony has the most indie developers and will most likely show their games at another presentation. ...

Yes, but most people it seems are more comfortable believing that Inafune-san did say it because it justifies their behaviour. Look how many times EA, Ubisoft and Activision have abused gamers trust by releasing unfinished or unpolished games. What was their excuse? After all, these are multi-billion dollar companies which have the kind of resources Inafune-san can only dream of. Yet every year so many gamers will throw their money at the next product from these same companies and most li...

From what I have seen in the demos and trailers, if the graphics are at the level, I will be satisfied as it is the story and the gameplay that are most important. This is a game by Fumito Ueda and we know what we can expect. Can't ask for more.

I have just watched the latest trailer, the one from E3 this year, which showed very quite a few new short scenes and I must say that I am really looking forward to the game. I wish it was already October!

It is not a question of ignoring it but rather tthat most gamers preferred what Sony had to offer. A console after the initial reveal is all about the games and the Xbox always concentrates on the just three franchises - Gears of War, Halo and Forza. Yes, Microsoft does have other games like Recore, Sea of Thieves and Scalebound but many of us just prefer what Sony is offering and revealing hardware that is still 18 months away is not going to get anyone but the Xbox fanboys excited. Yes,...

There were rumours of NEO months before Microsoft announced Project Scorpio and Sony even stated that NEO exists but that they would not reveal it yet and at E3. Neither Neo or Scorpio can run games at 4K 60fps but more likely at a maximum of 4K 30fps. Even the best PC rigs at present cannot run games at 4K 60 fps and these are actually better than or comparable to what Scorpio has been hyped to be 18 months from now.

Whether you like it or not, you must actually consider...
