er....5 major games all year so, of course, they got attention. One would be grateful for one drop of water in a desert.
If you are looking for reality, stop playing games!

Why would be I be bitter about those that do not share my console preference? Absurd comment. The point is that one should compare like with like. The Xbox One S can be arguably compared with the PS4 Slim, not the PRO. As regards your personal comments about me, you were probably thinking of yourself when you were writing about me.
Did anyone other than diehard Xbox fanboys seriously think that the Xbox One S could be even compared with the PS4 Pro, a console that 3 times as powerful? Yes, the One S has a UHD drive but that is hardly anything to consider when the console is purchased for playing games, and that is the only saving grace of the Microsoft console when compared with the Sony product. As for Scorpio, when it arrives, the Xbox fanboys can talk but for now and the next year it is all about the PS4 Pro and th...
I am glad I ordered mine as soon as pre-orders opened. I have trusted Sony many times to deliver and on most occasions, the company does, most spectacularly for me with PSVR and now it seems with the PRO. We now just need the games to come thick and fast and for new IPs to deliver. I cannot wait to play Resident Evil 7 on PSVR using the PS4 PRO!
No comparison. Infinite Warfare, like many games these days pales in comparison to games from previous generations. Modern Warfare is THE best fps game ever, born from a WW2 shooter that was also one of the best games of its era. Even a decade later, Modern Warfare is more fun, more interesting and far more accomplished than the COD games that have come after. The remastering has given it an extended life but even without it, Modern Warfare is just head and shoulders above all present day...
No matter what Sony does and how well it does it, IGN will always try and justify whatever score it wants to give right down to things that are beyond Sony's control unless it is a first party game or studio (like uniform support).
The difference is impressive. I am looking forward to the PS4 Pro and I have been playing the campaign for COD Infinite Warfare and it is a return to form for Infinity Ward.

You may well be right about "Current Vive owners are by-and-large tech enthusiasts with disposable income" but in order to get mass acceptance the Vive has also got to be purchased by those who would baulk at the thought of spending $799 annually just to get the very latest improvements. If the tech was $399, many would probably consider updating annually but the Vive is just too expensive at present to do this more than once every two - three years...
Ouch! Current Vive owners are not going to appreciate a new iteration this quick, no matter how intent they are for improvements to be rolled out as they are available. Coming out with a new version of such a premium product in such a short time may hurt HTC unless there is some kind of rebate system in place. In fact, I had the VIVE on order and I have decided to cancel it. Why would I want to buy tech that is about to be improved unless I know I would need to wait at least a couple o...
@EDMIX
Sorry mate - you must be the only person I have come in contact with you thinks that EA does not wish to dethrone COD with either Battlefield or now Titanfall as the best selling game annually.
You also do understand what the phrase "in my opinion" means right? I wrote this because it was my own personal feeling about Titanfall but fully expected others to disagree and they could well be right.
I also pointed out quit...
I am glad Respawn have distanced themselves from such silliness. EA are obviously hurting from the relative failure of the first Titanfall (compared to their initial expectations) and again from the initial low sales of Titanfall 2 (it may well be a huge success given time but EA wants the game to be successful from Day One). EA are desperate to ensure that either Battlefield or Titanfall somehow manage to beat Call of Duty sales and cannot accept that this will never happen unless the COD ...
@Brisco
There is no real price drop. This is a £16 adjustment so that retailers can match each other's prices...a real price drop for the situation that you describe would be over £100. PSVR has been selling out stocks and delivery dates for orders placed today are now in December.
This is a click-bait heading but when one reads the content...all hot air about nothing.
Yes - by being good and not mediocre like the last 2 or bad like 'Ghosts'. Gamers will give a game a chance but there has to be some substance. I am hoping that this one under two former Naughty Dog alumni will buck the recent trend and surprise us. At least the included 'Modern Warfare' will be worth it - of that there is no doubt.
COD needs a new engine and has to revamp itself for the next iteration - sets some new benchmarks. Activision has mined the...

I am from the UK and I and 16 of my gamer friends got the PSVR on launch day.
In fact, as of this morning, I know 23 people who own a PSVR and so that is 2 dozen UK owners right there!
The fact is that there are some people who would prefer the PSVR not be as successful as it is turning out to be. This includes many Xbox fanboys and, sad to say, some PC gamers who have no reason to see PSVR as a threat. If anything the PSVR...
I hope they keep the same box art for the US and EU releases. It is eye-catching and forces one to look again as a first glance will only give the wrong impression!
A tiny £16 price drop which may well be an adjustment to reflect currency fluctuations or just a bone to try and get more pre-orders on the books. November is the time when most retailers, online and brick, will make most sales and in the run-up to Black Friday, stuff like this is expected. If the price drop was, say £75 to £100, we can start making judgements about the PSVR. I myself got mine on Oct. 13th and I have had 3 weeks of fun and I have another on order for Decembe...
@KeeseToast
So I guess like me, you will be giving the game and the expansion another go after PS4 Pro hits?
Infamous Second Son had some really lovely locations that looked exquisite in the nighttime, especially with some rain. 30 months after release and the game still looks better than many new games released this year even using the vanilla PS4 so I expect Second Son and the expansion will look even better using the PS4 PRO, especially during the fight sequences.
Titanfall 2 is a far better game than many that are selling more and this is all down to another bonehead decision by EA to release the game in the midst of two of the biggest shooters ever - Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1. It wasn't enough that EA stunted the sales of the first game by making it an Xbox exclusive, the company had to release it on the PS4 this time but still managed to find a way to curtail sales! Then we have Xbox gamers who now cannot be bothered wi...
