PS4 is nearly 60 million now and I doubt Xbox One has hit 25 million let alone 30. I think Microsoft would like everyone to THINK Playstation sales are double that of the Xbox console.
er...in the end we have to press some buttons and twiddle our thumb - how different is this from doing it on a 'conventional' controller? In fact, the Joy-Cons are anything but joyful as they seem too tiny for my mitts and fat fingers. I will stick with the pro-controller - the design has served me well for over 20 years and the saying goes 'if it ain't broke...
HD Rumble...sigh! Another drain on the charge....

The PSVR is totally new tech the price of which is favourable when compared with tech from competitors. The Switch is more expensive than the Shield Tablet even though it is a lesser spec and then to add to the pain, the accessories are also expensive. To really spread the pain-inducing goodness, then there is the penny-pinching like the non-inclusion of a $29.99 Joy-con charging grip instead of the non-charging one, which is included. This reads like Nint...
The biggest issue with the Switch is the obvious lack of games - a mistake that Nintendo will regret as this was exactly one of the complaints about the Wii U. The Switch is a much more refined console release but the hardware alone is not enough to get gamers behind the release. There has to be a large roster of games and 2 is not going to cut it. The console needs at least 4 or 5 major new games on Day One and then a steady stream of remasters, new IPs and even third party releases over ...
This is the game that anyone who has a PS4 must try and get. Horizon: Zero Dawn may well be the big release of this quarter but I suspect that Nioh will be the sleeper hit right up there with Yakuza 0. Between these three, and Gravity Rush 2, I will barely have time to get through these games before Personae 5 hits. I am still playing all my games from the last quarter of 2016 and I haven't even started a couple. So many games and so little time - good problem to have for PS4 gamers....
If Microsoft intends to have big titles ready for Scorpio as opposed to having the games available for the original Xbox One and One S, then no doubt the Scorpio is a new console with new software and Microsoft is just lying and spinning that the Scorpio is part of the Xbox One generation.
The company would be better off to say that it is starting the next generation this year and Scorpio is it, sharing the same basic architecture as the Xbox One family and offering full...
If Nintendo thinks it can recoup the investment in Wii U and having to come up with another hardware release just over 4 years later by charging ridiculous prices for games and accessories for the more desirable Switch, I think they are in for another disappointment. As much as there are many including myself who want to play Mario, Zelda, Splatoon and Super Bomberman but there is a limit to how much we can spend and are willing to spend. The first-day release line-up is not full of must-ha...

Sony has not shut down Cambridge at all. The studio is now called SCE Cambridge. You can keep on believing Phil for as long as you want to but no need to point what a competitor is or not doing as some sort of justification, especially when your information is not altogether correct.
I am now concerned for Cuphead and Sea of Thieves. Cuphead was supposed to be out last year and was delayed and the Sea of Thieves is due this quarter and yet we have yet to see much of anything about the game.
Scalebound was supposed to be a game from a major Japanese studio, Platinum no less, a dev that has made some really great games. I believe that Microsoft demanded change after change that ultimately soured the relationship and led to delays and ultimately cancell...
I think No Man's Sky should have been no. 1 for the lies alone but perhaps the Ghostbusters game is so bad that even the travesty that NMS turned to be was marginally better! The biggest disappointment for me was The Division and I agree with Angry Joe on all his complaints about this game. Games that should have succeeded like Titanfall 2 were poorly marketed (releasing this game in between the two biggest shooters had to be deliberate. I think EA decided Titanfall was expendable).
Tenchu, for a start. Suikoden and Vandal Hearts both (however these were from Konami so chances are close to nil), Syphon Filter, Colony Wars, and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (again Konami...can you believe this dev had so many gems that it can no longer be bothered with? )
"Personally, I believe it is because the numbers aren’t as great as people may have expected, ...In other words, it’s not that impressive."
Sony always emphasised caution when asked about how many units the company expected to shift in the first few months. The company only had a limited number it could manufacture due to unavailability of parts yet despite this some silly figures were thrown about by industry consultants who had no affiliation with Sony. Recent...
"You could say that Sony played all of its trump cards in 2016. Between the PlayStation 4 Slim, PlayStation VR, and, of course, the PlayStation 4 Pro, you may be forgiven for thinking that the Japanese giant's got nothing to offer over the next 12 months"
So, people buy consoles for the sake of having hardware? No, they buy it to play games and Sony has been delivering games this generation in ever increasing numbers as each year has gone by to the extent tha...
This is an article written by someone who is clearly biased against Sony and the PS4:
"In short, Sony's got a relatively quiet year ahead, but it does have a load of games to get PlayStation through it."
Really? Considering Sony has far more 1st, 2nd and 3rd party exclusives arriving this year than the Xbox and already has the PS4 Pro and the PSVR out there selling out, I hardly think this year can be described as 'relatively quiet'...
We would all like a crystal ball and an ability to see the future but this is not about to happen so why don't we wait and see just how good Nier:Automata actually turns out. I agree the expectation on this is high and all indications are from what we have seen so far is that the gameplay is as good as expected.
Hmm..reminds me a lot of Syndicate. Still, the game looks like it could be challenging and fun. The colour palette definitely welcome.
@lastking95
If by "you people" you mean 'gamers' then be that we know that 'PC' is not a brand but a catch-all description as there are too many brand names out there making gaming PCs. If you are having a tantrum because I did not mention Xbox, it is because most gamers know that one can play Xbox games on PC and one does not need an Xbox console anymore.
Congratulations, Sony! 2017 will be even better as this year will all about games from Sony with some huge titles releasing in just the first 4 months alone - Horizon, Yakuza 0, Personae 5, Gravity Rush 2, Nier: Automata to name a few.
This is my 33rd year of gaming and I love my PSVR and the PS4 Pro which has replaced my original PS4 from 2013. Thanks, Sony! Now, with Switch coming in March, even more gaming goodness to enjoy this year between Sony, Nintendo and PC.
There are some delusional people here commenting on this story. It is fine to talk about your favourite console in glowing terms as long as you ignore everything else and keep the conversation limited to your own favourite brand. What I dislike and disagree with is the need to then compare the Xbox with the PS4 and spread made up bullshit to make it seem like the Xbox is doing as well as or even better than the PS4.

I guess Nintendo do not want to sell the hardware at a loss or at least wish to break even. Perhaps, Nintendo may also have decided that a loyal customer base ought to pay through the nose. I say this because I cannot otherwise explain the penny-pinching attitude of not enclosing a re-chargeable Joy-con Grip instead of the non-rechargeable one that is included. It would have cost them what? An extra $5 per unit, $10? Yet now I will have to pay £27.99 ($50 odd) for a one separately. ...
