At least PlayStation has so many exclusives that we can pick the worst from. THE rival console has as many exclusives as the worst 5 PS4 ones
Hardly good news - a patch for PS4 has not been released for some time and there is no date given as to when it will be released. It is as though the PS4 is an afterthought for these developers.
“Xbox Is For The Players” Only in some delusional minds. A third go this generation to produce a console that can carry the moniker 'most powerful' (albeit until the next PlayStation is released), many strategies designed to push the Xbox introduced and then discarded, games announced and then either cancelled or delayed one after another, lack of investment in new IPs, dependency on the same three franchises constantly. Sure, this is all 'for the players' if they are gulli...
So then Sony is willing to face the challenges and Microsoft is not. Why then did the latter bother to enter the industry? It seems Microsoft wants the money but does not want to do the work or take the risk. Even with VR, Sony is at the forefront while Microsoft lags, despite having hyped last year that Scorpio would support VR, etc. The fact is that Microsoft is unwilling to spend the money on new IPs and is always looking to create a model that gives them the most by doing the least. ...
The PS4 has its own exclusives as does the Switch so the fact that Cuphead is exclusive to the Xbox One should cause no surprise. If the devs do not wish to release on the PS4, even though it is the console with the largest user base, this is a decision that must be respected. They may well have had financial incentives from Microsoft to compensate and they alone know their reasons. It is not like the PS4 does not have enough exclusives and if gamers do not want to play it on the Xbox, they...
My picks are Yakuza 0, Persona 5, Nioh, Nier:Automata, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I went for Yakuza because it is fun, challenging, loads of gameplay, many sub-stories and games within the game, fantastic characters, crazy in parts and really well thought out by the developer. Persona 5 is a close second or even a joint first for the same reasons! Any of the others can also be talked of in the same manner, though and Horizon is a beast of a game, a genuine AAA release that reflects the best o...
GamingBolt - the Xbox trumpet.
Sony is supporting the PS4 Pro in the best way possible - making sure there are plenty of games that gamers want to play with for their consoles. As regards being optimized for the Pro, there are over a hundred games with PS4 Pro support at this moment and this does not include those with boost mode. Many more are in the works. Any third party multiplatform game that has support for Scorpio also does for PS4 Pro. There is no 'lack of ...
I don't see why this is a problem. PS4 has loads of games that are not on Xbox One and so if the devs want to make it only for Xbox and PC, they are entitled. If some gamers think they are missing out and do not want to buy an Xbox especially, just play it on PC if you can. This is the kind of game that would probably sell better on the PS4 but if the developers are determined not to release it, PS4 gamers ought to just accept the situation and stop asking for the game. As I said we h...
Sounds like an Xbox fanboy's wishful thinking. So much he said about the PSVR could also aooly to the Xbox One series but I doubt the writer would say that Xbox One is doomed.
Because the game is very good and killing Nazis will never get boring. I am surprised the writer of this article did not finish the game the first time round. It was the best shooter of 2014 in my opinion.
Clearly, the writer has expectations the game has not yet met. From what I have seen of Days Gone, I am looking forward to the game but then I realize that it is difficult to come up with ideas that have never been seen before. Most things are derivative these days. Most books, movies, games, music all have within them ideas, story plots, themes, or thoughts that have existed before. It's always about how well the new entry is going to utilize these aspects and come up with something...
The New Order and The Old Blood are great games. The New Order was my best shooter for 2014 and The Old Blood, while a prequel and much shorter, was one of the better standalone expansions for a long time. I think the only thing I found missing in the New Order was the supernatural aspect but this was addressed in the Old Blood. If the New Colossus is anything like the New Order, the game should be one of the best this year. Killing Nazis never gets boring and I like the way Wolfenstein a...
Let us hope that RE7's success has assured Sony that allocating resources for proper VR games will bring in gamers and sales for PSVR and that we see more such games from Sony's first-party studios in the future as well as from the likes of Capcom. The tech is still very new and no doubt the next iteration will be much better but for real success (meaning selling over 10 million headsets) VR needs loads more games like GT Sport, RE7 and the forthcoming Ace Combat.
Ouch... I wonder what the comparisons would look like if we had the actual, honest figures for Xbox One. The PS4 is doing EXTREMELY well but Sony should not take the eye of the ball.
The Yakuza series as a whole has been one of the best. While it has taken 7 games(Yakuza 1 to 5, a Zombie spin-off, and Yakuza 0) for it to really get recognized in the West for how good it is, with Yakuza Kiwami (this August) and Yakuza 6 next year, the best is yet to come. Yakuza 0 released this January is a prequel story to the whole series and a chance for gamers who have never played the series before to get on board. Yakuza 0 has been a real success and the game looks the best it eve...

I guess you have so little to play on your Xbox, you find it more interesting to make up lists such as the one you have posted. With Xbox One X you will have more power but even fewer games and so you will end up making even longer lists to keep yourself entertained. Instead, why don't you come on over to the PS4 and you too can enjoy Spidey next year as well as other games this year? You won't have to make lists anymore.
This is going to be on the scale of Uncharted 4, if not bigger. Insomniac was picked by Sony for Spiderman PS4 and the developer is making sure that this game is likely to be their best to date. Well, at least until Spiderman 2 PS5.
No worries if it remains exclusive to Xbox. The PS4 has so many games, exclusives and multi-plats, not having this one is of no consequence and if you really want to play it, just buy an Xbox or a gaming PC.
@Athos
You and I clearly had different experiences with Driveclub on PSVR. Yes, the game is not at all like the non-VR version in terms of graphics and resolution but I was prepared for lower quality and I enjoyed the game nonetheless. I still play Dreamcast and PS2 games because they are fun. Graphics and resolution for me are secondary considerations.
In my opinion the PSVR is a very good headset for the cost and the fact it is first generation tech....
What games?
