That is fine as PS4 owners can play the game on a PC. Those who don't have PCs have many other games to enjoy instead.
Best news...With Yakuza 6 next (after Yakuza Kiwami out this week) and Yakuza 7 already in the works, this news is just perfect. After a drought of over 3 years in the West, we now have a welcome deluge of Yakuza games to keep us happy for the next 3 years. Lovely.
Just shows how good Naughty Dog is and the lengths the studio will go to get it right! I am so impressed with Lost Legacy - I cannot believe that this game started out as DLC. I only hope that the next Uncharted is already being planned and is due in a couple years time. Bring on the young Sully!
Kojima-san hasn't made a bad game in years if at all. True, MGSV had issues but he managed to give us an open world MGS game that was only affected by some dubious decisions by Konami but the game is still better than most out there. Kojima-san is now unshackled from a dysfunctional working relationship with Konami and partnering with Sony, a company with many excellent first party studios and gaming technologies, not least Guerilla Games a studio now integral to Death Stranding. We c...
I am playing Uncharted: Lost Legacy at present and the game is excellent. If Naughty Dog can come up with such a game from what originally was supposed to be DLC from a small team but which then morphed into a standalone game, imagine what they can do with the entire studio and then some working on TLOU 2. I suspect it will be even better than the first one. Carry on, Naughty Dog!
I think the writer of this article has to get the facts right. The PS4 has had more major exclusives released for it this year than at any other time. The rival console has one release as compared with over 15 for the PS4 this year and this writer is asking Sony to get on the ball? Drinking from the Microsoft through maybe?
@DaGreatOne
Yes, you will continue to play your OLD Xbox games on your NEW console while in Playstation world we have so many new games most of us have backlogs and haven't even played many of the ones released in the first half of this year.
Sigh...lots of talking and posturing but no action!
Only in an alternate reality.
Best bargain of the late Summer. Yakuza Kiwami is a HUGE game and anyone who has played the last few Yakuza games, especially Yakuza 0, is in for a few weeks of really fun gameplay. The game is priced low so no reason to wait to pick it up. Buy it and then ask for a remake of Yakuza 2!
@JonnS
Both Shenmue 1 and 2 were released on Dreamcast. Shenmue 2 only came to the original Xbox after the demise of Dreamcast.
The reason why Shenmue is considered a better fit for Playstation is that the spiritual successor to Shenmue, the Yakuza series from Sega, has always been on Playstation as an exclusive. The latest entry to be released in the West is Yakuza 0 which has done really well and the next release, Yakuza Kiwami, is out in a week. Yak...
Looking good. Okay, the faces need work but the game is still over a year away and the devs will sort it all out. I figure it still has one more delay, possibly so it may well be at the end of next year or Spring 2019. Many of us have waited for over 15 years for the next chapter or conclusion so another year or 18 months will not make much difference. Unless, of course, if I get hit by a bus in which case I will meet my maker and ask him or her why I couldn't be left alone until I ha...
Another developer who takes the Microsoft cheque to make what was supposed to be a multiplatform game and now withhold it from PS4. One would think they would have seen what happened to Rise of the Tomb Raider. In any case, isn't this game better played on a PC using a keyboard? If so, it really doesn't make any on what console it is as one is better off with Steam and PC!
I daresay Killzone will be back at some point. Killzone 5 may well be one of the games to be released when PS5 comes out, The franchise is too popular to abandon. Killzone 2 was the best one in my opinion but 3 wasn't bad either. Shadow Fall was more a showcase for graphics quality and not as good as it should have been and the story was weak.
I could find more than 15 games that I could add to the list. 5, 10 or 20, all this means is that the Playstation is home to many exclusives that are excellent games and long may that continue. I am looking forward to Yakuza Kiwami, Uncharted: Lost Legacy and Knack 2 this August.
Seems like a game worth playing and I will be buying it to enjoy before Uncharted and Yakuza Kiwami hit later this month. This year has been wonderful for gaming! I still have games from last autumn/winter I have not yet been able to play just because of all the PS4 releases this year. I am glad Ninja Theory is back with such a game. The last game from Ninja Theory I played was 'Enslaved: Odyssey to the West' which I feel was underrated and had the misfortune of selling well below...
Nintendo is a major player in the industry with a huge list of IPs and now a fast selling console (nearly 5 million in 4 months is no small feat). Nintendo is relying mainly on their first party releases to really push sales and Zelda and Mario Odyssey alone have /will shift millions this year. Sony is the one most gamers expect and depend on to bring the most games and it has not let us down this year and is expected to have as many releases next year, all contributing to the phenomenal nu...
Arrogance? Hardly. Seriously, all of a sudden Sony is anti-consumer for raising the cost of PS Plus by £10? Gamers seem to forget that PS4 is the only console (Switch is just getting started so I am not comparing it here) to have so many exclusives, first, second and third party. Unlike Microsoft, Sony is actually investing in many new IPs and games. This year alone there have been more than a dozen alone in the first 7 months and there are so many coming in the next two years. I a...
It is good to see Sony co-developing with Chinese devs and hopefully, there will be many such colloborations. The game looks fun. Monkey King is popular in Asia and I expect this game will get some weighty attention from Sony with regard to pushing it globally. I certainly hope the game is released in the West. Oh, and it is yet another exclusive for PS4. Keep em' coming!
The game looks as fun as previous Ace Combat games but with better graphics and resolution. I hope there are no more delays and that it indeed arrives during Spring 2018.
