PS4owners do not need any of the games listed - we have so many of our own real exclusives most of us have backlogs of games we have yet to play. In addition, most Xbox games are on PC so if we really want a game, we can play it on PC. Good luck trying to play Spiderman PS4, God of War, FF7 Remake, Death Stranding, Days Gone, etc, etc, without a PS4 (or PC in the case of FF7).
At that price the game is absolutely worth it!
Some Xbox trolls here trying to suggest that despite sales of 596,000 in the first week, Uncharted: LL is a flop. Considering that so many people who bought the Season Pass for Uncharted 4 received it as part of that season pass, the above figure is excellent. When compared with the ironic saviour of Xbox One this season, Cuphead, which is being described as an Xbox game when in reality it has sold the most on PC, Uncharted LL has done exceptionally well given that Steam has twice the acco...
Microsoft will not back VR wholeheartedly until it becomes a mass-market product and then it will try and hijack the market by using its considerable financial reserves. At present they will partner with Oculus, Samsung and even possibly Vive to have some presence in the market.
@Woolly_
Xbox has very few exclusives. We can play Cuphead on PC.
@Kribwalker
Let me guess, you like Forza 7, Halo, State of Decay and the like? I mean PS4 had other brand new games like Nioh, Nier:Automata, Two, yes, two Yakuza games, MLB:The Show, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, and many more yet you only tried Horizon and Crash Bandicoot. Who are you kidding? You got the cheek to try and suggest that the PS4 is not worth considering when it had more exclusives in one year than Xbox One has had in it's lifetime. You say you like Zelda b...
To you maybe, but the rest of us don't want ANY micro-transactions. It is a HUGE issue and it is time to make sure full price AAA games stop this greedy habit. And the morons on this and any other site who keep telling us to shut up and not buy these games if we do not like micro-transactions, it is shills like you who have encouraged these greedy b*****ds to behave in such a manner. Do you really think that if you continue to buy these games, it won't get worse?. How delusional!...
The article is written as though Xbox One X is the start of the new generation. In that case, I would rather wait and see what Sony does next as they will definitely release their entry into the new generation and given the fact that the PS4 has so many exclusives that Microsoft cannot even hope to compete on that front, I know which console I would rather have. I will wait for PS5.
@Woolly_
I can name four immediately as they are my favourites: Driveclub, Rigs, Resident Evil 7, Farpoint. Many more games besides.
@TheUndertaker85
Some Xbox fanboys here seem to find it funny that an accessory for PS4, namely the PSVR, actually has more games than the Xbox does exclusives. They tout that the Xbox One already has 130 games for it as compared to the PSVR. Well twits, one is a console and one is an accessory for a console. Why don't you compare like for like? Like how many exclusives the PS4 has each year and compare it to what the Xbox and even the Xbox One has. Instead of laugh...
@cfc83
Yakuza Kiwami is a remaster of the first game and has added scenes and narrative to allow it to take place after Yakuza 0 which is a prequel and a newer game from 2015. Yakuza 6 is the next release and is supposed to end the story of Kazuma Kiryu. Kiwami 2 is supposed to be the remaster of Yakuza 2 and will arrive after 6.
If you want to play the games in order, I suggest the following if you still have a PS3 available:
After Kiwami, p...
Gen 6 may be the best generation to gamers for all sorts of reasons - nostalgia, the appearance of Xbox Live, the PS2 with the DVD player, etc. There were also games like the many JRPGs on Playstation, God of War, SOCOM, and we also had Crimson Skies and Halo on Xbox amongst others. Even the Gamecube had many fun games. However, I think the best generation right now is the present 8th one. We may not have as many games as in Gen 6 but we have better ones. Just look at what has been rele...
A misleading headline in the first place. The article itself suggests the game is a success for the DEVELOPERS (who are definitely not Microsoft).
A game has to sell many millions to be a 'phenomenon'. Yes, the game is very good, one of the best indie games released but that is all it is. Cuphead will become a phenomenon when it sells about the same as GTA V which is a genuine phenomenon. It would be nice to know what the ratio of sales on PC vs. Xbox One.
@mandigo
I never said you lied. I have played that game for the last two years and then the VR release as well and I have never had to use microtransactions. There has been dlc, yes, in fact there was a lot of free stuff. Maybe after the release debacle, plans changed. By last October, the game had so much stuff in it.
PSVR matters a whole lot matter than you would like it to, you mean. This article makes up assumptions and then doles them out like facts.
Sony has sold over a million in less than a year. An updated model is appearing shortly and all the indications from Sony are that the company is solidly behind the technology. In fact, it is only Sony of all console manufacturers that has actually backed VR. It isn't hedging bets like Microsoft which appears more keen on piggybac...
@mandigo
Sorry, mate...not true. Also, this is an article about Forza, so I am commenting on Forza. If it happens with another game, be it from Sony, Nintendo or any other company, many of us complain about it where appropriate.
Thee are so many Microsoft apologists here - the fact is that there really is no place for Microtransactions in this game but Microsoft has insisted on taking advantage of the popularity of the game and ensure that they squeeze every dime they can out of gamers.
moldybread and others here would say making games is expensive - okay then charge a fair price for the game as it should be. I would rather pay $70 or $75 and enjoy the game without the silly paid costumes and mi...
It would be foolhardy for Sony to ignore that which has gotten them to this point. The PS3 was a tech beast but the price was such that it was perceived to be expensive (even though it was cheaper than the immediate competition when compared with like for like components and services). Also, certain developers were unwilling to go to the extent necessary to fine-tune multi-platform games for the PS3 and again the console was perceived to be weaker than the Xbox 360 when it was actually more...
Misleading title. All versions of the game whether for PS4 Pro or for Xbox One X have the same content. It may look slightly different, that is all. The headline implies that only the Xbox X version has the "Whole of Egypt" which is definitely not the case.
This is a multi-platform game. Games like these hardly vary between systems. But I guess Xbox fanboys don't have many exclusives they can crow about and so such articles will have to do.
And so there it is - Amy Hennig's story-driven single-player Star Wars game is now gone and whatever is usable will be morphed into a GaaS and the game will be just another so-so Star Wars 'milk-the-customer' game. Even someone with a great rep like Amy who has had substantial success with games she has led did not warrant a change from the greedy business strategy EA prefers. Over the last 20 years, EA has destroyed so many excellent studios in this manner in my opinion. A stu...
