Yes, sure, if they get the story right after Yakuza 0 and before Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2. Now that Yakuza 6 is confirmed as Kiryu last outing in the original series, why not have him in a parallel series in the 80's and 90's before Yakuza & Yakuza 2 / Kiwami and Kiwami 2? A younger Kiryu all out could be fun and devastating. Yakuza 0 has been the best release over the last 3 years and Yakuza 0-2 on the new engine could be the one to push the game even higher into recognition...
Wonderful! Last year we had 2 Yakuza releases and again this year will be the same! I am still playing the first 2 amongst all my other games and looking forward to Yakuza 6 shortly. Life is good...gaming is better.
@AKS
I agree with you entirely. I suspect that the reviews for games like COD and Assassins Creed are not 'real' but purchased which is why even a bug-fest like Unity was getting scores it had no business getting. IGN always gives every COD a high score and yet marks down original and fresh IPs for having some aspect of the gameplay as being 'unoriginal' or 'well-worn'. How original is any COD each year? I have even read a review where a game is...
No wonder there is no timed exclusivity this time. Xbox One gamers DID NOT support ROTR as expected to justify the loss of Tomb Raider's most biggest consumers - Playstation gamers. The PS4 version released a year later did not sell much at the time of release despite getting a better edition and at a cheaper price and since then it has been heavily discounted. There have been so many exclusive and multiplatform PS4 game releases over the last 15 months that many PS4 gamers have left ...
Nier: Automata was one of the best games last year but for some reason, it is not talked about as much as the other big games last year. The reason it is continuing to sell is that gamers are discovering it either by themselves or through word-of-mouth.
Badass is right! The voiceover guy is perfect... even without having any clue as to what he is saying.
@thejackal2008
I can think of a game - Horizon: Zero Dawn, In addition, Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, Persona 5, In fact, I can think of several.
I don't have any doubt that PS4 games will be fully compatible with PS5 except not vice versa, obviously. This will ensure that Sony encourages every PS4 owner to move up to PS5 when they are ready to enjoy the 4K experience and still enjoy their own PS4 games that they have amassed over the last 5 years. This will essentially mean that the PS4 will not have a shelf life as long as the PS3 and there is no need for PS4 owners to hold on to their old consoles. PS5 will still be disc-base...
Had Xbox One X taken off like Microsoft wanted, Sony would have released PS5 earlier. However, as the PS4 is still selling more and there are so many games coming out in 2018 for the console, and there are still some but fewer slated for 2019, Sony may well consider Holiday 2020 as the right time for PS5. Whether it is 2019 or 2020, I look forward t PS5 and playing PS4 games in the meantime on the PS4 Pro.
I don't see how anyone can predict how the game will be at this time. Yes, Microsoft may screw up once again, but then again, the game may well turn out to be a lot of fun and with exciting gameplay. I hope for the Xboners that they get a decent, nay, excellent game.
Wishful thinking more than any real insight. Playstation and Nintendo show otherwise. Exclusives do make a difference.
It was Sega's general business strategy, and missteps with the Saturn, all before the Dreamcast, that resulted in the company pulling out of the console business. The botched release of Saturn was the main culprit but Sega was also cash-stricken supporting several platforms and the management continued to make mistakes. Dreamcast was the highpoint and a wonderful console but gamers and developers had no faith in Sega by now and the console suffered as a result. Sega should have stuck wi...
I don't see why either console needs to be criticized at the expense of the other. Sony and the various iterations of Playstations have served gamers faithfully for the last 27 years and while there have been a few hiccups, by and large Sony has ensured console gaming has some of the best games ever made. Nintendo too has had some decent consoles and IPs such as Mario, Metroid, Zelda that have seen some fantastic games, two just in the last year. Both at present are proving that it is ...
I think PSVR for PS5 should be marketed along the same lines as for PS4 - available, integrated but ultimately not required if the user does not wish to play in VR. I hope that the next iterations of both the PSVR and the PlayStation are designed so that the design aesthetics are seamless. As for games, I suspect that Sony's major studios, if pressed into PSVR service, will make games that can be played in VR or not as the gamer wishes along the lines of Resident Evil 7. This will cer...
Nope, not going to happen, at least not for PS5. Much of of the world still just has basic internet access and even in the UK, parts of the country cannot get anything but the basic speeds just about enough for streaming but with constant issues (like in much of Scotland). I suspect we are still at least 10 years away from the point where Sony can make the decision to give up on disc-based consoles because downloading inexpensively will be possible.

I accept your opinion and I never stated that mine was the only way. I always thought that game designers gave difficulty levels for that exact purpose - so that we can experience a game as intended without getting stuck, or having to play the same parts over and over as you suggest, or having to resort to cheats. I always start a game on Hard and then go lower or higher depending on how I fare and the challenge I want. But I take your point t...
@Gridknac
You are welcome to say whatever you want without getting personal and resorting to abuse. No one is giving you grief, I merely posed a question borne out of my opinion. So stick your middle finger up yourself and learn some manners.
@Woolly_
Actually, many of us prefer the likes of Yakuza, Horizon, Persona, etc.although we may play Call of Duty, The franchise sells so much as it has the broadest appeal and is good for a quick session. COD is like breakfast now, you have it cause it is what you do but lunch or dinner is always better.
What is the point of playing if one is going to cheat? It is a single player game! You'd only be cheating yourself...
Let's have the completion to the last Half-Life first. Shameful how Valve just left fans hanging without even a 'yes' or 'no' on Half-Life 3.
