In other words, copy Sony.

The main reason God of War will never be on any Xbox is because it is a game made by one of Sony's many excellent studios exclusively for the Playstation PS4.
Other reasons why this game and many others like it can never be on Xbox:
- Microsoft cannot be bothered to invest in New IPs. Microsoft has had many opportunities to do so but, in fact, keeps closing, combining or misdirecting studios it has bought to the detri...
Er. what a con. If you are going to compare the two games, it should be God of War on PS4 Pro and Ryse on Xbox One X at best. I bet if God of War was on PC, it would look much better than Ryse.
In your opinIon. The God of War is every bit as good as it has been described and so was Resident Evil However, if one were to play Resident Evil 4 now, we would probably not like it as much - a game can only be judged properly in the era it was released with the games it was released against. At this time God of War is the best game out there, in my opinion. However, eventually there will be another game that comes out that will take the baton.
If it happens, we will talk about it...until then all this is just wishful thinking that will most likely never happen like a lot of other Phil Spencer promises.
No mention of availability on PS4. Either means Microsoft have the marketing deal or another "shoot yourself in the foot" dumb timed exclusive. If, after the last time, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics haven't learnt that alienating Tomb Raider's biggest market does not really help sales, it can only mean Microsoft is writing a cheque with a huge amount to compensate. In which case, waste of money for Microsoft - better spent on new IPs.
And here I was hoping I would get to play it before my met my maker. In the next life...
Making a great game even better. What service!
God of War has been like a throwback to another era in terms of the response to it. There were several games during the PS1 era where this happened - FF7, Metals Gear Solid, Castlevania, etc. The game is fantastic. I am taking my time with it - there is much to explore and the fights are both fun and challenging. I battled a large ape-like boss a couple of days ago and just when I thought I had won, I got killed from another direction! Heaven!.
In the last 2 years we ...

You need to pay attention or stop being delusional. Consoles are not produced and released in just a few months. In order to release the next Xbox during Holiday 2020, Microsoft would have to start spending money on it at least a year in advance if not longer.
Perhaps you are right about how investors look at xbox gaming profit as a whole but I doubt it. In fact, I doubt any investor there takes your attitude regarding the hardware divi...
GamingBolt and Michael Pachter appear to have forgotten that most businesses are there to make a profit on each project and that money spent on one thing also means that an opportunity to spend on another, perhaps more profitable, is lost. That is why good management is necessary to decide where a companies resources are best used. Microsoft must have spent a good deal on the development and release of the Xbox One X. I doubt that Microsoft expected to spend a similar amount in just 2 yea...
@Zalker87
Why bring Sony into this? DarkVoyager's question is valid and has nothing to do with Sony. Also stop bullshitting - "No services, horrible online..." - to you maybe. Not offering EA Access and Backwards Compatibility is a business choice by Sony. Instead the company gives its gamers new IPs, new games and lots to enjoy. Most Playstation gamers do not pay to play old games, we just use our PS3s. The reality is that we have so many exclusives, mu...
Delusions. The one thing the Xbox fanbase is beating everyone in.
Xbox has everything but new exclusive games. Microsoft can do whatever it wants but unless this includes creating new IPs and new games, Xbox will NEVER beat Sony or Nintendo. Reliance on only 3 or 4 franchises has resulted in the present situation.
Even with a year's headstart last generation, Microsoft could not beat Sony in any aspect - the number of consoles sold or the number of...
Sony...laughing all the way to the bank! Bravo!
I keep remembering this ad while playing with a smile on my face.
That would be poor marketing strategy and would certainly lose the huge momentum a totally new console gives. I think that the PS5 will be a major upgrade but that all PS4 games will be able to be played on PS5 but not vice versa. I for one appreciated the PS4 Pro this gen.
@princejb134
The price of the PS3 was not unreasonable considering we were getting a brand new major tech like Blu-ray with it. Most film-lovers I know used the PS3 as their 'go to' player as at the time a stand-alone player used to cost between £700 to a £1000. In addition, we had changeable hard-drives, nothing to pay to access PSN, and a better outfitted console. Despite the initial drawback, Sony replied with really excellent new IPs like Uncharted,...

I started playing Yakuza 6 last night and while it is not as 'full' as '4', '5' '0', Kiwami and Kiwami 2, it more than makes up for it with the new engine and the look. I played the original Yakuza and Yakuza 2 on PS2 and the remakes are even better. I will miss Kiryu in Yakuza 7 but I do not doubt that the game will be as good if not better than the preceding ones.
The title of this article should be "The Xbox One X is the best console if you do not care to play exclusive new games like God of War, Horizon: New Dawn, Persona 5, Yakuza 6, Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2, The Last of Us, The Last of Us 2, Spiderman, Nier:Automata, Bloodborne, etc. etc. etc.
Nice behind-the scenes titbit. Good to put faces to the voices. Kratos has one hell of a 'voice'. This guy is really good.
