GamingBolt, the Microsoft mouthpiece that continues to find one way or another to say something negative about Sony.
There were stinkers on every platform. Xbox and Xbox 360 had quite a few and the reason why there are so few on Xbox One is because there have been hardly any exclusives this gen. Given the sheer number of exclusives Sony has had over each of the consoles, 15 games over nearly a quarter of a century is hardly anything to write about.
Looking at the level of complexity, I am not surprised it has taken 5 years. I heard it was rebooted twice so, in fact, I am surprised it is this good in 5 years.
The fact is that if and when Sony announce the PS5, it will be at least 9 months prior to actually release. Even though the PS4 and PS4 Pro are doing fine right now, the expectation of a new console with more power and features as well as new games released just for that console and the opportunity to play PS4 games at better quality will soon drum up business.
A lot of comments suggest that the PS4 has still got plenty of life in it but perhaps we are spoiled by games fro...
Playing 'Detroit' at present. It is easily the best game that Quantic Dream have made. Sony's trust in David Cage has definitely paid off.
The last two years have been just wonderful with so many exclusives for the PS4 and these added to multiplats, indies and games for the PSVR have resulted in a huge backlog of games for me and many of my friends and probably for gamers across the world. Yakuza alone had had 3 games in the last 15 months with another due s...
I am willing to bet that the PS5 will arrive Holiday 2019 or Holiday 2020.
As much as Sony is used to marching to its own drumbeat, the fact is that the PS4 is where it is this gen because Sony announced the console ahead of the next Xbox and also ensured this time it met the market needs on price, usability, resale of games, and having the kind of exclusives that get people to jump on to the platform. In fact, the situation this gen can easily set up a similar situation...
It is more than likely that the PS5 will launch Holiday 2020 at the latest. It will be two years soon that the the PS4 Pro arrived and by the time the PS5 arrives, it will have been out for at least 3 or 4 years. THerefore, the PS5 would be very much a worthwhile upgrade, considering how much improvement it would offer as a new gen release as opposed to a mid-gen release based on existing hardware.
Oh yeah, a self-named PS4 Fanboy 'finds' Xbox One S and 'discovers' backwards compatibility, Game Pass and the various exclusives (as few as they are) so attractive that he decides console wars are pointless. Of course, if you can afford more than one or two consoles and the online fees for each, it makes sense to have all the consoles if you are an avid gamer. I mean even Microsoft will occasionally release a very good game and having as much variety as possible is always ...
Kojima-san has always been like this. He was hamstrung at Konami in his last few years which really did affect MGS V and despite that he turned in a game that was still up there in terms of quality, vision, gameplay and fun. Kojima-san is his own boss now and I fully expect him to deliver a game that will be exhilarating and yet something new setting a new benchmark. If Kojima-san could make MGS V under duress at Konami, imagine what he will do with the willing support of Sony and Guerill...
Sony would hardly tell anyone at this time when their next console is due. It may be 2019, it may be 2020. Remember, the announcement of the PS4 in February 2013 caught Microsoft by surprise and they never recovered. I figure Sony will announce it when it is good and ready to release it, not earlier nor later.

If Bloodborne 2 and SOCOM are announced at E3, Sony does not have to do anything else to win E3. Those 2 alone could do it.
@Kokyu
I don't think Sony had any choice but to sell the PS3 at the price it did because of the cost of the Blu-ray tech at the time. As it is, they were selling the console at a loss. However, the Cell was actually very good as can be seen by the visual quality of all of Sony's first-party games. The fact was the multi-plat devs simply did not want to make the effort for the PS3 especially given that the 360 had arrived a year earlier. Sony obviously learnt a l...
Brand loyalty and nostalgia will only go so far...the fact is that Sony is delivering the games and Microsoft is not. The fact is that Microsoft has simply not delivered enough quality games this generation and has chosen not to spend money on new IPs or on new games for existing IPs aside from the usual three of Halo, Gears of War and Forza. A focus on Games as Service and Multiplayer games has not helped either, and when gamers see Sony releasing game after game of first, second and third...

You are playing it as you should - take your time and even play other games and dip into Yakuza, You will find that the game can last you a year if you want!
Lovely,
Everyone can enjoy the Yakuza series in the following order:
Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2 (out Aug 2018), Yakuza 3 (remastered), Yakuza 4 (remastered), Yakuza 5 (remastered), Yakuza 6 and thereafter Yakuza 7.
Yakuza 5 was released on the PS3 but only as a digital download. 3 & 4 were excellent. 5 was good and had an unusual story leading directly to Yakuza 6.
All is right in the gaming world....

I guess you must hate games and gaming as Sony are the only console of the two released in 2013 that is regularly releasing plenty of high quality first, second and third-party exclusives. If anything, this gen is memorable only because of Sony and since last year also Nintendo. Microsoft have left the business of making games, especially good ones.
All this tells me is that this writer falls for hype and spin and does not understand his own gaming needs. People who say COD does not need Single Player appear to forget that COD started with extremely long and strong campaigns which started to diminsih after MW3 and especially in the new gen of consoles. Many COD gamers play both the campaign and the multi-player, some, albeit a much smaller number, really only cared about the campaign. Regardless, the SP has been omitted as Activision...
"Boy....when you do as I say, nothing can stop us..."
"I guess, Father...but...."
"What is it, Boy, speak up..."
"Well, don't you feel sorry for the rest of them..."
"Boy, listen, I will only say this once....they said we couldn't succeed, but we did and they are in hell....that is all that matters. Now, let us journey to the next one..."
New Game Plus would definitely be a bonus and more than welcome. The best way would be to simply up the power of all the opponents and be able to take them on with Epic gear. The second time round there would be no need to get specific rewards but maybe incremental pieces ffor the Epic gear.
GOW 2 and 3 were each better than the predecessor and each pushed the benchmark higher. If the sequel is as good as the current game, I will be more than satisfied. If it is bigger, better, longer, I will be ecstatic. The only problem is how long it will take for the sequel. Hopefully it won't be 5 years now that so much is in place and 2 or 3 years would be about bearable. If the next GOW game were a PS5 opener, it would be a fine start to the next gen.
