If Nintendo did not like Sony's terms, it either should have re-negotiated professionally or withdrawn by giving notice. To humiliate Sony on such a manner was definitely uncalled for as was going behind Sony's back and negotiating a deal with Phillips. However, I suppose we should be thankful. Sony has been responsible for some of the best gaming experiences ever over the last quarter century or so, the latest being God of War this year.

Spin, spin. spin. This is about minimizing costs, maximising profits. Nothing more than that. Over the years the campaign has been getting slimmer and shorter and because we gamers still bought the game in droves regardless, it has now come to this point where they can effectively get rid of a campaign altogether (and no, ability to play 'solo missions is not the same). Anyone who has played COD 1, 2, MW 1, 2 & 3 will agree that the campaigns in the last few years have been medioc...

The only people talking about how Single-Player gaming is dying are those who have a vested interest in Multiplayer games and Games as a Service. If anything, this generation and especially the Playstation has shown that Single-Player games are not only alive but thriving. Why even ask David Cage about the success of other multiplayer games? His studio makes games like Heavy Rain and Beyond which are as far as possible from Fortnite and PubG.

I am looking forward to t...

Adios COD, you were once so fine with a SP campaign but as the years went by and it became less important, you aged becoming another multiplayer game with SP tacked on. You kept on having nips and tucks until now, this year, there is no SP campaign at all and I am finally leaving, off to find a newer, younger game that will give me more SP and less MP. But I will remember you fondly, my love and we will always have Modern Warfare between us. Farewell!

@UltraNova

Have you beaten the Queen as yet? I must have tried a couple of dozen times but without success. She is the toughest boss I have ever faced in any God of War game. I am glad the Valkyries were optional!

Yeah, sure... any excuse to write something negative. The plot is hardly "terrible", the worst one can say about it is that it is 'simple' and more than made up for by interesting characters, an eventful story, and exciting and fun gameplay. Most events in fiction and real life start with a simple need - in this case to scatter Faye's ashes from the highest peak in Midgard (or so the father and son thought). It is the journey and who and what you encounter along the w...

There are some complaints here about the delay but 3 years is really not enough for a game like this, especially with a development team that is small and operating on limited funds. In fact, I would have thought 5 years would be about right so if we were to get it next year, it would within a reasonable timescale.

I do think that the majority of the potential market is on PC and the PS4 I would be surprised if Shenmue 3 will sell much outside of these two platforms. An X...

We will welcome it with open arms,. Anything by Kojima-san will certainly be unique. As for the Godzilla model, I wouldn't mind a Godzilla game from him!

I doubt any other game will beat this as 'The Game of the Year'. God of War is outstandng. I took my time over the first play through, finished it yesterday, started playing Yakuza 6 but could not get into it, picked up previous games on Far Cry 5 and Assasins Creed:Origins but finally realized I still needed to play God of War and started my second play through and stayed up all night. I like it even more the second time around and on the highest difficulty. It is extremely hard....

I think he meant to say..." We want to try new models which do not have us trying to deliver long games like God of War that are filled with content that we would normally charge you for, but instead deliver games with far smaller content that would still allow us to extract more money from you as usual. We now realize that single-player games are not dead but we want to now twist the model into something that can make money for us beyond the initial charge for the game."

I suspect that Sony is now focusing on PS5, and that Death stranding, The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Days Gone and Spiderman are the last major exclusives for the PS4. All their other studios such as Guerilla, Santa Monica, Japan, etc., and second teams at Naughty Dog, Sucket Punch, etc. are now focussed on the first PS5 games. One could make the argument that Death Stranding and the Last of Us 2 may well turn up on the PS5 instead as the teams behind these two games are known for the...

The game is looking better and better and this video has confirmed just how good the game is going to be. Bend will finally have that major release it was always capable of.

Pity we have to wait nearly a year because the first hour is just so good!

I would normally agree with some of the reasons given in this article but given it is written by Gamingbolt, a mouthpiece for Microsoft, I can only say that it is in Microsoft's interest that Sony does not come out with the PS5 in 2019 or even 2020.

Microsoft is doing badly when compared with Sony, especially with releases of new games and IPs but also with the number of consoles sold. However, the company is still able to shift some units of the Xbox One as it is genu...

Everyone is doing well but Sony is doing REALLY well. Their strategies with every aspect of the PS4 have paid off and have probably allowed the company to approach the ninth console generation and PS5 with even more confidence. I hope this translates into Sony doubling down of the same strategies they used for the PS4 and delivering even more console and PSVR games next gen.

Of course, EA will continue to 'push forward' as it is easy money. This company will do whatever it pleases even break the law unless those laws are enforced and then some. In my opinion, the easiest way to get EA to change is to not buy their games, the ones with loot boxes and other money grabbing tactics. I guess this is probably ALL their games.

God of War is simply the best game out there right now. There of Sony's first party studios have each had a masterpiece each year over the last two years. Uncharted in 2016, Horizon: Zero Dawn in 2017, and God of War this year. God of War especially is perfect in every way - visuals, gameplay, challenge, and replayability. Added to that characterisation and story as only single-player games can, and the fact that Kratos has been a Playstation staple since the PS2, makes this reboot r...

Paul Lopez has totally missed the news for the last three years. Sony and Nintendo are definitely selling single-player games by the bucket-load. God of War has probably sold over 5 million copies by now and probably more as it gains even more word-of-mouth popularity supported by a deluge of 9s and 10s in critics scores.

I suspect COD: Black Ops IV is going to find that getting rid of a campaign is short-sighted. The fact is that both multi-player and single-player ga...

Another article written by a Microsoft supporter desperate to show the company is all set for success and that all that has gone on before was 'to lay the foundation'. Let us examine in detail:

"The PlayStation 4 Pro is a very good console. The problem is is that it felt like a knee-jerk reaction to the Xbox One X".

The genuine upgrade to PS4 came out a year ahead of the Xbox One X and when it was announced, Sony had no knowledge that M...

The game looks excellent on a Samsung SUHD telly from 2015 than from their 2017 range. I wonder why. If anyone knows, please let me know. In the meantime, I keep watching this ad, over and over again.
