Except you need the GPU muscle to generate better looking graphics. Sadly both the Consoles are equipped with 5year old hardware now. All the Space in the world will not help overcome that.

I would think Digigal Sales are taking over, which is why retail is hurting. Havent bought a retail game asides Star Craft 2 in 3 years. Over 90 games bought on steam now and growing.

Agreed there arent much games that use DX11 to full potential. You got the friendly neigborhood consoles to thank for holding back any sort of progress. Makes one wonder asides triple screen gaming, what is the reason to upgrade anymore.

If i were you i would be worried about BC as well. I dont think there would be a shred of hope for BC if they went for ATI. Not that there is much hope of BC even if they do go for Nvidia.
Console patches need to go through Microsoft and Sony validation procedure. PC is an open platform thus does not face these delays. Plus the fact that the PC is the first platform to code on anyways.

Any of those GPU's will be insane, though be prepared to invest in a Multimonitor setup. Triple screen gaming is aweome.
Agreed, 8800GTX in SLI is a very decent setup even by todays standards. Hell its more then enough for any game in 1080p today. I would think a 8800GTX in SLI would be very close to 5870 levels of performance, which is insane for a 4 year old setup.
However PC gaming is now going multiscreen. GPUs like 5870, GTX480 are an overkill for single screen gaming.

So why do Xbox users need to be paying higher live charges to fuel more exclusives? Thats an investment Microsoft should be making for THEIR console, not the user base.

They are using money for the following:
1) Market Kinect (which the casuals will be using).
2) Ensuring PC and PS3 gamers get COD DLCs delayed by a month(not that i care, i wont be buying COD).
Xbox users its a shame what your funds are being used for.
So long as people keep paying, Microsoft can keep hiking the price. People need to vote with their $. Look at what happened when Microsoft tried the same shit with the PC community. No one paid, Microsoft made their service free. Xbox users either need to stop paying or stop crying.

most of the time its not even 720p lol, the biggest console first person shooter franchise COD is in sub hd.
Whats more, console gamers get milked with yearly rehashes of the same game. PC games on the other hand like TF2 get supported endlessly. Today after 3 years in the market, TF2 just received another update. While console gamers are waiting for their next rehash aka COD black ops lol.
What about the people who already own those games?
If people keep rejoicing this way, what happens when the PS4 comes out, will these same remakes need to be bought again?
IMO there is no replacement to true BC and thats what the PS3 users should be asking for.
