"99% of the games I want that are on pc are on consoles too."

The opposite can be said too, Consoles are missing out on 2 whole genres FYI MMO and RTS. While they do FPS its gimped compared to PC. As consoles dont have a single first person shooter that runs in 1080 and does 60fps.

Next gen is gonna be a nail in the coffin for consoles rather, imagine all the game you bought this gen, they just might not be playing at all next gen.

I am running steam on a 15.4inch laptop, looks fine to me.

I can confirm when i am traveling and i dont have an internet connection, Steam asks me if i would like to stay in offline mode, it works perfectly offline.

I know people have issues with steam being a DRM, however it does offer services which are great, Steam cloud, In game chat, In game web browser.

This is why we love Valve constant free updates to a 3yr old game. Lolvision and EA would gladly charge for such stuff. In fact they'd probably charge for a whole new game.

I even use steam for non-steam games due to chat features. Asides Starcraft 2 i have hardly made a retail purchase in the last 3 years. over 100games on steam now.

Lol you should do your accounting, buying parts = building stocks.. stocks doesnt = loss.

As for calling me a Sony fan check my posting history. Dont think i am the blind fanboy who invests in outdated console tech.

Nintendo bet the farm on casuals. They milked that market and now are making losses.

I beleive Sony and Microsoft are a bit late to the party. They were making losses on the hardcore front and saw Nintendo reaping profits. But now it seems the casuals have had enough of motion controls. Casuals really dont care about graphics hence that wouldnt be a selling point for Microsoft or Sony.

Will be exciting to see what motion gaming holds for both these compa...

Haha i was wondering the same thing.

I sincerely hope there is no controller support, they would have to gimp the game to make that happen.

Funny Console gamers actualy used to complain about PC gaming having patches. Not to mention hard drive installs etc. How the times have changed lol.

Now they actually like it that consoles can patch too(obviously after they have seen the advantages first hand) and they actually want games to install on hard drive.

Agreed there is no way to stop Piracy. Personally DRM from steam is light and almost to the point where i feel its not there, the offline mode is very helpful.

I agree Publishers need to learn DRM will only annoy the genuine customer. They should insead focus on making good games and it will sell.

Hell ya Steam while being a DRM is an awesome service. Specially the Steam Cloud. I was traveling the last few weeks, I had an unfinis...

The PC gaming Platform is huge 232million Gaming capable PCs as of last year, even a small percentage pirating can mean a huge loss to the Industry, opposite applies when even a small percent is buying. The recent trend of MP gaming has ensured people have to be online to play. PC gamers now log on to platforms like Steam, Battlenet which ensures piracy is controlled.

Further more PC gaming software sales last year were at 13.1 Billion USD, Whic...

Only on the Open platform. Locked down controlled platform never allow freedom. They would charge for this if they could.

Lol MS deals suck compared to what Steam has going. Bioshock 2 the game itself was on sale on steam few weeks after launch 14usd.

FPS has become very generic these days. With incremental improvements. Biggest example being the yearly COD releases. Between MW1 and Black ops there arent much changes.

I rather favor a game like TF2, where the developer constantly gives free updates to keep the game fresh. The community is given freedom to make their own maps and come up with its own ideas. Obviously a company like Activision will never do this since it would compromise their yearly game release along wit...

Because blizzard dont make those 6-8hour adventures that console gamers like. Blizzard games are made to last a long time 5-10yrs atleast.

@below

nope it doesnt, Theres more people playing Warcraft 3 right now then people playing some of the latest MP games on console. Heck i still play Warcraft 3 even though SC2 is out. The amount of strategy required to play that game never gets old, specially when teamed up with other races.

Mouse and keyboard are still way superior to the Move or any other motion control for that mattter.

Try playing Warcraft 3 sometime or maybe Starcraft 2, the amount of hotkeys needed to play those games in a competitive way can never be possible on the Move. Specially when people have 3vs3 or 4vs4 matches lot of chatting happens as well, for which a keyboard is just needed.

A game like world of warcraft is even more demanding. Consoles being closed platfo...

Consolization has spill over effects, If activision can get away with selling DLCs to the consolers they are gonna try the same with the PC market.

@deadrockining

When your friends are playing the DLC maps are you going to quit playing?

Bottom line console gamers should be asking for dedicated servers and the ability to port old maps and create new ones. Selling maps as DLC is pure milking at best.

@getonmylev3l

I got better games to play then pay for this rehashed crap. your welcome to buy it though :) save up for the DLC maps you already own though.
