Lol so true why put yourself at the mercy of some comapany just to be able to go online.

In todays day and age, most games out are rehashes. Gaming has lost the creativity it previously used to have. Portal 2 is one of a kind game, it does things that differentiates itself from the me too crowd.

I have recently gone back to playing old games, since new games pretty much are garbage these days.

I fired up Dosbox and loaded up some of my ...

While that is an overkill. PC gaming is awesome. Since recently most game releases are crap, i have gone back to playing some of the classics.

Fired up Dosbox and started playing Conquest of the new world, its like a freaking time machine where you can load up any old game start playing relive the memories.

@red2tango

You seem to forget good PC can be bought for 600-700usd. Now the same PC will play any game in 1080p. It will also cost less by 10-20usd per game.

If you buy as much as 20 games a year. Within a period of 2 years PC will already be cheaper then the PS3. While doing everything the PS3 cant do, which is alot of things aside just games.

In the long run Consoles are always more expensive then PC.

Specially if y...

Thats because Crysis 2 only uses the IP name since it would help drive sales. Its actually just a slightly better looking COD game with nano suit.

Its funny but they actually axed their own feet.

They sold about 80-90million chips on the Xbox and PS3 combined in about 5 years. Which is what they would be getting on PC in about 1.5 yrs(not integrated GPUs but discrete ones that are used for games).

Since consoles are very old and once when a buyer buys a console he wont be buying another chip for 7 -10years(unless the console fails).

Now since games wont progress graphically due to...

I would think a 4000series card or a 8800gtx should play the game fine in dx10.

For DX 11 5000series gpu like 5870 should be fine.

Imo the first major leap in graphics i had seen was when 3DFX released Voodoo. Later on when Nvidia released Riva TNT, playing Quake 2 in 32bit color in 720p back in 1998 was epic.

When it comes to games the Major jumps in graphics can be highlighted by:

Quake 2 (1997)
Unreal (1998)
Quake 3 (1999)
Half life 2 (2004)
Farcry (2004)
Crysis (2007)
Metro 2033 (2010)

Lol AMD and Nvidia should forget about getting a sale from me, not until next consoles anyways. There hardly are any games require an upgrade.

According to this link Sony knew there was a vulnerability in their security yet no one informed the top management and since both PSN and Sony entertainment used simular security measures they both were taken down the same way.

Id say its pretty lame if their employees knew there was a loop hole and didnt do anything ...

Sony also says that the hackers exploited a known vulnerability.

If Sony knew about vulnerability in their system then why keep millions of their users at risk? They should have fixed it long before someone had a chance to exploit it.

I havent tried fidding with 3D on my Nvidia GPU however i am sure Nvidia probably does have custom profiles as well, just like we get custom SLI profiles.

Yes Tridef should work with Nvidia the same way it does with AMD. Any how Nvidia own 3D software is so good i dont see a reason for a Nvidia user to use Tridef.

3D support for ATI hardware is pretty solid. you need to buy Tridef or DDD software to activate it. My friend demoed both software and liked Tridef. Both of these software will work on Nvidia hardware as well (however since nvidia has its own drivers it not required).

Also both these software support over 400games with custom profiles for user based improvements as well. Since it has custom profiles new profiles are released for games very frequently, with new games being s...

A friend of mine got a 3D tv recently few months back and was playing Assassins creed brother hood on his TV VIA PC in 3D. He told me he was getting 60fps @ 720p maxed out graphics.

It really is amazing how the PC has over 400titles in 3D, which is atleast 10times more then the so much hyped and advertised PS3. While the performance from even a 200usd GPU like the 5870 makes 3D gaming a reality.

Anything said against Sony on this website will be treated with denial, its a Sony Fanboy infested website or perhaps they have employees with accounts on this website constantly.

Either way they can have their accounts leaked and sucked dry, these people will still support Sony.

Well we shouldnt expect games to warrant an upgrade not until the next consoles and even then for those of us running GTX 580's in SLI even the next consoles may not be outperforming our current hardware.

Lol just play it on PC in 1080p with dolphin. No point buying an old console to play the game.

Actually BC is a fort of the PC. There are many classics currently that are simply unplayable because not many people have a working PS2, Game cube or whatever. Having a modern PC is an awesome decision for any gamer today, as it open a window to play old PC games(thousands of those out there), any console aside the PS3 and Xbox 360. Current gen games are cheaper on PC too and ru...

Well with PSN plus you lose everything you had once the subscribtion ends. I think its sad what Sony is trying to offer here. Its rather they are trying to milk the customer for the long run.

50million PS3's out there, even if 5-10milllion users subscribe to this, guess whos the winner in the end?

"I think that consoles GPU and RAM should be upgradeable like a PC's BUT all games must work for the original console that is not upgraded."

There are many reasons why this is not possible.

1. PC hardware sells in millions of quantity, its not just PC gamers that buy it, its the entire world. Hence the cost to produce these parts for the PC platform is low. To make specifically for a console would be like catte...

From the comment it looks like only the PC version will be having dedicated servers. Consoles will have P2P.
