Yea i been holding back to get this one, so many RPGs coming up. With the biggest daddy of them all being Witcher 2. Next few months we got:
Divinity II
Fall out Vegas
Two worlds II
Interested in all of them until Witcher, but probably wait until they are on discounts @ Steam or D2D.

Its funny but they already charge people for 2-3 DLCs, add that onto the price its like paying 90-105usd for the full experience ever year. Never mind the rumor that Xbox users now pay more for XBL just so Activison can get their fix. Its sad the current situation of gaming.
I would rather play a game like TF2 where people get dedicated servers, free user maps and mods, and tons of developer support all for free.
Metro 2033 is a steal at that price, probably the best looking game this year.
Agreed there is no innovation in COD its the same rehashed crap. People just support it due to Name and massive advertisements.
In fact due COD most of the good games get pushed to Q1 leaving an empty last quarter.
Played Need for speed shift in eyefinity, i can say it was an awesome experience. Cant say about GT5 since i dont own a PS3. This looks fun will probably pick up on a discount.

For the full experience i would recommend a PC + PS3.
Even if nintendo decided to use a entry level gpu like a GTX460, it would easily run games in 1080p and 3D.
1080p and 3D are a joke for todays GPUs.
If its only a question of 1080p then even 4 year old hardware like the 8800gtx can run current games in 1080p. Hence 1080p is not something hard. In todays day and age no matter how much a console maker intends to cut cost on GPU if they use anything between 3-4years 1080p will easily be reachable.

Sony is known for hyping its products way beyond what they can deliver. Not that Microsoft is a saint either. However Sony has a history of deluding its base:
PS2 will do toystory graphics never happened (in fact it was among the weakest systems that gen).
PS3 will run all games in 120fps, didnt happen, In fact most of its games only run between 25-30fps even at measily resolutions like 720p or below.

Some of the people i know in the middle east are already using Jailbreak. I am in Pakistan now for the next couple of days, many people are buying Jailbreak in this country. Primary reason being people doent afford such expensive games. Games sell for as much as RS5000 here(about 60USD). Which is alot of money considering the average salaries in this country wont be above 500usd(even that is a high salary, id say more like 300-400usd lower if the person is a labor).
Well i just loved the story from metro 2033. Takes a bit of time to get into the game, gets really interesting later on. Infact i will probably give it a 2nd play through once i am out of games. Just loaded at the moment form the last steam deals lol.
They patched the wide screen support later in on bioshock 2.

Dragon age awakening (not as good as the original but pretty dam good specially the PC verison)

Its not the first time Sony is promising stuff for the future. However judging by their history id take whatever they say with a grain of salt. Heres afew promises from the past that never materialized:

Well considering latest high end GPUs now are only being benchmarked at a resolution of 2560*1600 with 8x AA and still putting out 100fps+, Nvidia and AMD should be concerned people dont need an upgrade to play games in 1080p even if they own a mid range GPU from 2-3 years back.
Wonder what they are gonna do if people stop buying new upgrades. Makes me wonder why they even support Consoles?

PC games sell well. Rather optimizing for Console is a hassle due to limited resources. For PC even midrange hardware of today can pretty much handle anything, hence even if the dev doesnt use too many resouces on optimization the games run well. Notice how most games on console barely struggle to put out 30fps even when running in 720p or below, with PC they just have so much extra leg room.
No reason to be paying for maps, such stuff should be created by the community. TF2 ftw.
Never mind the fact, there is more profit on digital sales, since publishers dont need to pay for packaging costs or transport costs. Hence even only 300k sold on Steam it probably would be as profitable as selling 600k on console due to high margin of profits from DD.
