You cant just count Steam alone as PC gaming and call it a day. Many people use other networks.
Also lets not forget Steam will only keep growing, Once this console gen ends, next consoles will start from 0. Steam will maintain its base and keep growing. Games bought will be sustained in the library. Console gamers will be flocking to buy new games on their machines because there is a high probablity old games just wont work.
PC gaming has alot more freedom. And imagine all the games you bought for console in the past years have no gaurantee of working on the next machine. Hence when the next gen starts, you have a good chance to lose your library. Another reason why they may not give BC is because they will want to sell remakes. Console gaming is like a business, and a business needs to make money. Specially since they are in losses already.

If money is to be made on consoles, then why are Microsoft and Sony still in losses?
Also most console devs arent doing very well in case you havent noticed. Have a look at some of their financials most of them arent doing too well.
The most profitable devs out there today are Blizzard and Valve. Infact Blizzard alone makes more money then Sony or microsoft division. Sony Only makes losses lets not even count them lol.
Lol and where in his post did he mention the Xbox 360? or do we just assume anyone having their opinion which isnt in Sonys favor is an Xbox user lol.

Sorry but 360 is missing dedicated servers and mods. PC is definitive version.

Check again, must have been a mistake. There is no date for the game currently last i heard it was delayed to may next year. Anyways People are already pre-ordering it and the game is on the top sellers of Steam. This one probably will top 3M.
On my steam the game shows coming soon after Portal 2.
Got to commend them, they are being smart by avoiding DRM costs and ensuring paying customers have a good experience. Pirates will pirate, DRM or no DRM.

Not really, Wii hardly has 3-4 games a year worth playing. Dolphin is awesome to play those games. Now unless Nintendo can promise 3rd party support and a good number of exclusives then it might be worth considering the platform, until then id rather buy nintendo games but use Dolphin to play them. Besides that saves up precious space too. Who needs multiple devices all across the living room.

Unfortunately games are now being made with the lowest denominator aka Consoles. Its a better business decisions for the devs to be making games on 3 platforms instead of just 1.
Also the fact no one is paying them to keep things exclusive to the PC.
In the end it will be a problem for Nvidia and AMD(Intel to an extent too), because no one will be needing to upgrade to their latest and greatest. Notice how most review sites didnt even care to post benchma...
Crysis even after 3 years still doesnt fail to impress. Still looks a generation or two ahead of what is being released today.
Its a shame to see the current state of the gaming industry, when games like MW2 get rated for a 9/10 for graphics.
To be honest the industry has been on a halt for the last few years asides games like Metro2033, Arma 2 Operation arrow head there is nothing out there that can rival Crysis.

Hardly any. Most games are maxed out with a GTX 460 or even lesser GPUs. Unless you plan to be playing on 3 screens these GPUs are a way overkill.
Nvidia and AMD better get some software out which takes advantage of their GPUs or else there isnt really a reason to upgrade anymore.
