Not openly. There were replacements and fixes, but it wasn't policy. It was the eventual threat of class action that made the warranty extension a policy and fixes hassle free.
You missed out. During the holidays, Amazon has it for as low as $12. Now I find it for $20-$30 on average, though I haven't seen it at major retailers for less than $40.
And the Golden Gate Bridge.😂
The differences between a judge and a critic are much more vast than just you analogy. The judge has the rule of law and precedent to guide his rulings. Sure, there are extreme judges thapush the envelope. But, that's not the norm. Much like this review is pushing the envelope on a game that the precedent seems to be set at the average score being at least high 80's. People are reacting to that...and past extreme reviews. Either they are click baiting or they are extremely harsh. Neit...
While I agree that PC culture has gone too far and, generally, become too reactive to every single slight, I also believe that the anti-PC culture has become over aggressive in the push back. Political correctness is NOT as "evil" as you describe. It's simply annoying to some.
There's a wonderful middle ground that people need to find where it's not a problem or PoC to be included in a fictional narrative without some sort of backlash. It's not as if they t...
😂
The "obsession" with exclusives has more to do, IMO, with the devs that are behind them and the promise of the game itself than the console. That being said, consoles have and always WILL be at least partially defined by the exclusive games that they have. Also, some people are on more fixed budgets so, to maximize their money, they only invest in one console. It sux to miss out on a game or two elsewhere. But, it also saves money for he future exclusive games on the console you cho...
Okay...THAT was funny!
Wait, wait, wait...you mean to tell me that Planters isn't the alter from which you worship the great, all powerful Mr. Peanut? Blasphemy! Now, you will be forced to eat unsalted, wet peanuts for eternity with hopes that you have a peanut allergy!😂😂 8514;
Pokemon Go???👍
Maybe it's a "girl next door" quality? I don't know. IMO, she's okay. She's what happens to average to above average women when they get the Hollywood treatment. There are plenty of women in Hollywood that guys wouldn't look twice at while passing on the street. Yet, after constant exposure through movies or TV, suddenly become "hot". My theory is that we see them so much that we find something attractive about them. I know for a fact that I am guilty o...
Okay. That was far harsher than I would have stated it.😂 But, to a point, I have to kind of agree. I don't dind her horrible. Just painfully average in every way. Not bad enough to not have a career. But, not good enough to garner as much attention as she has. Nevertheless, that Bold and the Beautiful line was funny as hell.
What hobby "proves adulthood"? "Proof" of "adulthood" is about as subjective and arbitrary as the games that you named. Adulthood is something that is just expected at a certain age. But, the criteria? What are they? I'm more mature now than I was at 18 or even 21. Does that mean that I wasn't an adult at 18?
In the end, it's much easier to see when one isn't an adult than when one is. Which lends more toward maturity than the notion of ...
You are confusing design with accessibility. Most games aim at making themselves accessible to more than just adults. However, they aren't aimed as such. It's kind of the reverse of a Disney movie. Disney aims for kids but, due to the fact that they know parents are watching too, makes the movies accessible to adults.
This is part and partial to entertainment as a medium. Mostly, it tries to cover as broad of a swathe as possible because....money. There are niche areas (like...
Maybe it was GG that needed the break from Killzone? They've been essentially tasked with that and that alone since PS2. I can only imagine, no matter how much you love the work, that it would get monotonous. Maybe, after HZD, they can look at Killzone with fresh eyes and see some opportunities to invigorate the franchise. I'm a fan, too. By the time we'd get another Killzone, unless they are secretly working on it, we'd be pushing up on a new console anyway. If they ever want...
That requires risk. MS have been extremely risk averse, at least on the software side, since the great Kinect experiment. The big wigs need to seriously decide if they want to be in the industry. No more dipping your roes in the shallow end. It's time to sink or swim in the deep end. If they DO decide they want to really compete, it's going to take investment in more studios, some risk, and some patience.
MS is a huge company. They don't need Xbox or gaming to be success...
THIS is why 1st party studios matter! No matter what happens, at very least you can ramp up development internally to weather the storm.
There's a significant difference between the phrase "half measure" and "half-assed". While both might be true, one is a far bit more derogatory. Not that I think he owes an apology. That being said, in the industry, you probably don't want to burn bridges that you don't know if you'll need.
The thing is, as long as they can "borrow" assets, a lot of the hard work is done. I'd have to assume, by what we saw, the assets and systems are locked in. The game is more than playable. So, it would really be fine tuning and story tweaking to move it far enough from litigation. Plus, not all indie budgets are equal. We aren't talking the garage indie with a team of 10. We are talking about a AAA team doing a passion project. They'd just need to find a publisher willin...
But, they are also giving THEIR opinions (whether based in experience ot out of spite). Why does it matter so much? All of the justification and back and forth will do nothing but prolong this endless cycle. Just be happy that Nintendo obviously did a great job with a Zelda game and enjoy it. My enjoyment of a game has never changed because someone else didn't like the game or it's Metacritic score dropped by 2 points because of a suspect review. If I'm interested, I buy it. If I ...
