For $30, I'd say that you'd probably get your money's worth IF...
1) You enjoy a great narrative. Really. It's stellar voice acting, engaging, and fitting to the era. The documentary style and film grain make it pretty unique.
2) You don't want to just play to go all rogue. It's not a GTA, Saints Row open world. It IS somewhat dynamic. But, not as fun as the chaos of those.
3) Can you overlook flaws? As they have pointed out, there are some n...
Which leads me to question of why THAT didn't happen? If everything was in place, it should have been relatively simple and probabaly would have moved digital sales (at least on Xbox) at a quicker pace.
While I agree with MS not "catering" to everyone, they MUST try to appeal to everyone. Otherwise, there's no need in creating a mass market product. Obviously not everyone will enbrace the MS philosophy as related to the console market. But the job of the company is to sell their vision and philosophy to as many consumers as possible, while continuing to excite their core about the future.
Generally, I'd agree. However, as I've matured and real life has invaded my wondeful fantasy, I've had to make serious concessions. Due to time and money contraints, I don't just buy every console or even every game that I want for the consoles that I do buy. So, it's not entierly foolish to choose what suits your needs and lifestyle at any particular time.
It is because the rhythm recognition gets a bit wonky at times. Or, shall I say, the devs didn't match up the button presses with the vocals. So, there are similar/same lines that require a different cadence or altogether different button combo. It becomes less about rhythm and more about recognition or memory. It's not crazy level difficulty by any means. It also won't be some single try type of event either.
In reference to your comment to me. I saw a post on the wiki where a new player asked what the endgame of Warframe was. The answer was the hidden "level" known as Fashion Frame!😂 Thought it was a great inside joke. Especially as a reply to a newbie.
There's really no "win" in Warframe. The ONLY reasons to spend, beyond cosmetic items, is because you like what they are doing and want to reward them. Or, you are impatient and can't wait. Otherwise, you can get everything you want from trading, gifts from the devs, and operations. I've spent about $50 since day one (and only because I felt like I got a games worth of play and DE deserve it). I currently have all frames and Prime variants (aside from Nidus and the new o...
Freedom of speeh works both ways.
True. In the end, you can say what you want when you represent yourself. You spoke freely. However the company did not like what you said or felt it didn't reflect their values. Consequently, they don't have to offer you the opportunity to use them to say it. When you form an affiliation with a company, there's an expectation that you at least appear to conform. So, he's free to speak and believe whatever. But, he just can't do that AND represent the game. Speech leading t...
Wouldn't say that. The "arrogance", imo, was the way they approached the price. (thinking that people would pay whatever for the brand) The price was justified by the components. In fact, they were selling at a loss. However, they did a poor job of vocalizing it. The 360 was more of a modular or a la carte approach. If you tried to replicate everything that the PS3 had with the 360 (at lauch), you'd be north of $700. The problem with the PS3 was that they were tied to the al...
This is the difficulty. MS wants to define it as a "premium" console. Well, that means that there has to be enough of a price gap to satisfy that meaning. (perception of quality based on price marketing...Apple does this WELL!) While I agree that $400-$500 would be ideal, it could drift upwards of $600. If it's meant to be the console that extends the generations (the specs look solid enough to last several years), then $600 doesn't look that bad and gives the perception tha...

Since when did haters need an excuse to hate!?😂
Nope! According to the articles, they haven't released Pro footage yet. This IS the OG PS4 at work.
There's plenty of beta footage on youtube. It appears like the tracks are a tiny bit less defined, but the cars and the lighting still looks phenomenal.
I get your point. But, the devs really wanted this game to be community driven. That's why there is base building and vehicles. The community suggested it. It could have worked as an early access title. That might have been better for US. However, from a stricly business standpoint, I can see how the "hype" and momentum dictated the release of the game. From a cconsumer standpoint, it's a game that fell short of promise and hype. But, wasn't as horrible as people stated....
@WickedLester...This is the "problem" with having quintillions of planets. You really don't know what is there...and neither so the devs. The seeding algorithm has all of that variation in it. (less flat planets, tropical, snow covered, lush "jungle", etc.) However, it's about frequency, location, and access. I've seen each one of those types of planets. However, some was footage from other people playing. Not all animals are quadrapeds. I've actually encou...
That statement works on SO many levels!😂
But, that's the thing. If it's a "good game" at $20, wouldn't it still be good at $60? I understand the idea of value. But, imo, value just enhances what you get. You might say it's not worth it, but it's still good.
As for the hype, it was equal parts for everybody. Hello games DID hype the game, but that's kinda their job. I we are still falling for dev hype, after all of the times we've seen it, whose fault is that? Also, the industry journali...
Guess you've never heard of mosaics? Nothing more than pieces (dots, clay, cut out pictures, broken glass, etc.), yet used to form a broader more beautiful collective piece of art. Music is nothing more than a series of notes strung together. Seriously, if music is an art form, drawing and painting an art form, literature and story telling an art form, acting an art form...how can something that encompasses all of these art forms not be art?
