An oxymoron??? 😄
Congratz!!! Parenthood brings perspective to a LOT of things. As you said, moderation is the key as well as keeping priorities straight. Seems to me that you'll be fine because you have the incite and wherewithal to KNOW that it had been an issue. Not to mention that your baby will be a constant reminder. Good luck and happy parenting.
Many things are labeled a "fad"...until they aren't and many things are labeled the next "big" team...until they aren't. Only time will tell whether Pokemon Go will break the mold or be one of many fads that have faded away. Videogames were considered a fad at one time. Many musical genres were considered fads. It was through time, and of course dedication to improvement, that allowed them to break through.
The cops get paid (often poorly) to be the "brave" ones. Call them and let them do their jobs. Rushing out like this puts you at risk of being a victim yourself (which is one of the main reasons that gun owners state for ownership..don't wanna be a victim) or even worse being arrested, charged, and becoming the very criminals that they want to protect themselves from. Owning a gun is a HUGE responsibility, yet some people don't take it or the potential loss of life that come...
"Property rights" don't extend automatically to being able to shoot someone...even if they are on your property. Even the extremely broad definitions of Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctrine (which exist in FL) laws have limits. Shooting first, without question, puts the shooter in an assailant position. Besides, they were on the publicly funded street. Not on his property. This is HIGHLY overzealous, completely irresponsible, and I sincerely hope that they kids press charges.
Not only a reboot, but I would like them to expand the gameplay. Possibly more open world? It just seemed restrictive to the powers and the world of X-Men.
I would love another Darkness game, though I think the second one might have tainted the series a bit. Spawn is just waiting for a revival (the movie) and it's ripe for the picking. I'm not as big on Ghost Rider. (enjoyed the comic, but don't see a good translation to a game...could be wrong.) Also, Wanted was an excellent comic (short lived) that would be great as an anti-hero take. So much was left out of the movie (sadly) about the Fraternity and how they operate.
That actually sounds pretty cool.
While I believe that Mr. Zed has every right to be offended by something that is revered to him (and the countless followers of Hinduism) being taken out of it's theological context for mere entertainment. I also feel that his being offended shouldn't alter the issue of free, artistic expression.
That being said, there seem to be a lot of people that seem to think that so many things are ideologically exclusive. You CAN respect someone's right to offense AND still not be...
Even the lead in is a jumbled mess of a message.
The issue was the first impression. When gamers here about and see a new console, they pretty much expect games. However, the focus that MS chose (for that presentation at least) was focused on everything else. It just wasn't a good look at the time. Most people were well aware that it did, indeed, play games. But, the impression that was left (from that presentation) was that games weren't as important as pushing these other features. Otherwise, they would have been showcased. I hear...
Quality article about a quality game. This just goes to show how much it can take to see a project through from beginning to end. Imagine what would could have been if corporate big wigs had just gotten out of their own ways. Or, if Activision took time to sort through some of those Vivendi IP that came along with the merger?
While it definitely could have been better, it was a great Ghostbusters game that really did have the feel of it's own unique entry into the canon. It sucks...
I agree with you. But, I think the average person (mass market type) won't even consider a portion of what you wrote. Some will go out and buy the newest consoles just to say that they have the "best". All without having an adequate TV. Let alone having a clue about the audio needs. That's why the Scorpio and Neo are supposed to be high-end consoles aimed at the core. (though we KNOW that both companies hope that the very people I spoke about will jump on the bandwagon)
Honestly, I actually looked forward to a sequel. Much like the original AC, I could see a solid base for an intriguing franchise. Aside from the driving, the other mechanics were solid. The hacking, while rudimentary, was a pretty fresh mechanic for an open world game. I even enjoyed the AR mini-games. It was the story and the protagonist that made it feel bland to me. I wasn't even as disappointed by the graphics. (I've been around long enough to not completely trust target renders t...
No. But, they've said that there is an aspect of procedural generation to ships too. There will be an overriding ship type (exploration, trading, combat, etc.) Within those types, the actual look will be generated so that your trade ship won't look exactly like mine.
But, you'll play as a woman, elf, orc, dragon, or bandicoot? If a game is fun, it shouldn't really matter what the avatar looks like. Just have fun.
@Mopgeound...he says that he is Black because it is an important aspect of the narrative of the establishment of the Black Mafia throughout the game. It adds to the overall tensions because of the time period that the game is set in. (being harassed by the police while trying to go about your mafia business adds that extra layer of immersion to the narrative) So, it's not just a throw away mention.
The bulk of console sales come from the mass market. THEY have no idea what teraflops are...and they don't care. What they DO care about is the next big GAME and if they can play with their friends. The core gamer, the bulk of initial sales, is the one that might care about performance vs. the competition. We are the ones that buy according to "power" advantages, teraflops, etc. Even then it still comes down to personal preference. Otherwise, everybody (aside from the secret sau...
I just don't see how this can be as bad as YOU see it. IMO, they haven't gotten either cocky or complacent. What I see is a company with a vision to try to lead VR tech on consoles while supporting a main platform with a bunch of games. All of this, while MS and Nintendo are prepping new hardware. That's still competition.
I don't live and die by the NPD results. There's nothing celebratory about my explanation of why it actually matters to the fans of Playstation...
Hello Games has been open to the suggestions of some MP. However, they want people to experience THEIR vision of being left alone to discover and survive on the various planets.
As for "doing the same thing", it really comes down to mechanics. IF you enjoy the mechanics, and how they interact with the game, then you'll spend more time playing. That can be thrilling or boring depending on your preferences, but that's the risk that you take for ANY game. ...
