Funny that you say that...because Michael Jackson was a confirmed social phobic. He would often have anxiety attacks before going onstage. Part of his addiction to meds stemmed from taking anti-anxiety meds for years. He had a zoo and amusement park because he has been a star since he was 8 y/o and didn't get to go out in public WITHOUT the public eye. What is more linked to childhood than a zoo and an amusement park. He also had a HUGE arcade in Neverland Ranch as well.
He left his est...

I don't think that he is saying that MJ's music should be locked away. He just questions the "noble and respectful" intentions of Sony on this particular marketing venture. Where was Sony and it's marketing when MJ was trying to release new music. Then, as soon as he is dead, a "new" release hits the airwaves. That was not accident I should think. I am NOT saying that Sony is wrong for trying to make some money off of what they own...but to say that it is out of some sort ...

took the intention of the word "hype" and usage to mean that the game was not great. I believe that the author above was just stating that we were inundated with Halo from TV, Newspaper, Magazine, Fast Food. I have NEVER seen a game with as much "main stream" coverage as Halo 3...bar NONE...and I lived in Japan when SuperFamicom (Super NES) was using Mario to beat over everybody's head.

I never much liked watching little black bugs fighting!!!*LOL* J/K Think that must be what he meant...at least I HOPE!!!

Sony has continued to sell it's PS3 at a loss since day one. I DON'T think that they would go to $199 because they still want the consumer to feel like they are getting something of value. Plus, it would SERIOUSLY eat away at those reserves that were built up during the PS1-2 days (if there is any left). But, that $250 point might be right around the corner if MS starts getting momentum at anytime next year.
I really think Sony turned it around with a GREAT marketing campaign. Finally,...

This started as a speculation piece. It was NOT intended to be fact. It was one man's explanation as to why HE thinks that NATAL could fail. His speculation is based on MS intentions of capturing the casual market. You can't argue that the Wii is the BEAST of the casual market. There are people that play Wii...that have NEVER played video games before. That is BIG! Both Sony and MS are trying to take bites out of that market share. That's pretty much what this business is about. How much of a...

until level 10!!! Or, whenever Domination gets opened up. That is when the game really starts to feel like a HUGE battle. It is crazy to think that you are about to storm the last "front" of objectives...only to have the reinforcements called in and a literal sea of red starts to pop up on the map. That was the moment that MAG went from playing small skirmishes to feeling like a real and large battle.

are the little nagging issues that the BETA phase is supposed to catch. When you run into those...report them. The devs are pretty good at making notable changes to the game play. Early on we complained about the APC's being way too resistant to rockets. That was fixed quickly. There were complaints about how resistant the turrets were to rockets as well. I don't know about the turrets though. I haven't gotten back into the beta since after the Qore phase. They tinkered a lot with hit detecti...

I don't think that he was talking about reporting it to the general forums, but directly to the devs. They are ALL OVER the forums. Plus, there is a way to report bugs and issues that creep up by level. You can even capture pics of the area that the bugs take place...or the bugs themselves. I agree that the forums can be a bit "rough". But, understand that some of these people are defensive because they have put in months and months of "testing" (gaming) into a game that t...

Don't know how much time you have put into the game. But, MAG take a few sessions to get used to. You have to level up your weapons, especially the add-ons, and your equipment. You have to get into the idea that this is NOT Socom or COD...it is an entirely different beast all together. The sound is GREAT...don't know what you were listening to. (Although it doesn't beat Battlefield Bad Company 2 in that respect) The graphics are average, but that is to be expected with the amount of stuff tha...

It has the ability to completely become a believable battlefield. No one man wins the war type of feel. I love the objectives because it keeps the squad focused...as opposed to scattered, camping, and being out for themselves. Communication is key...that might be the downfall of this game. They really should have struck a Warhawk deal and had the earpieces included in this one. Without the ability to communicate, the battles can really get pretty one sided. Especially, when your squad leader ...

MAG is NOT for everybody. MW players will probably not enjoy the experience because of it's inherent nature to force cooperative gameplay. It takes SO MUCH longer to level up if you try to run and gun and do your own thing. It is not as tactical as SOCOM. Mostly because it is supposed to represent a fluid battlefield, whereas SOCOM represents more of a battlefront.
People complain about not being able to confront all 128 members of the opposing team...but that would just be more chaos t...

Okay...are you trying to play the How Many Points Does It Take To Get To The Center Of A Failure game!?!? Alan Wake...looks good...probably should look better since it is no longer "open world". ME2 represents a graphical step from it's predecessor...but not a HUGE leap as you are implying. Halo Reach...umm...gameplay please??? What Halo has reached the graphical level of those CG trailers that get released as teasers? Not one yet! This is not BASHING anything 360, mind you. All 3 g...

I look at this article much like you...minus the draws in the morning comment!!!*LOL* Game on game, the 360 does seem to show some improvements in what each game offers graphically. I wouldn't jump to the line of logic that starts comparing them to KZ2 or UC2 for the same reason. It would result in a logical bottleneck of sorts. Keep the article in it's perspective and what the author is saying is true. 360 has some room left before it hits the graphical ceiling.

With that much console schizophrenia how do you keep your inner fanboy arguments from drowning out your important thoughts???*LOL*

So we are back to the old '07 mentality!?!?! Look...all 3 systems have great games. That's why they are called gaming consoles. The choice of games is really what you are talking about. It HAS to be...otherwise you are just blinded by fanboy hate. I don't begrudge anybody their personal choice of console or game for that matter. But, to say "...but xbox360 has the games." is just a pretty poor attempt at downing a lineup that, IMHO, has the most diverse choices of all three consoles...

Not really...Bungie KNOWS where it's bread is buttered...and so does MS. They have a great partnership that basically gives BUNGIE the freedom to choose if they would like to go multiplat with their new IP's. Thus, the opportunity to make more money. MS keeps the sacred HALO for their coffers and everybody is happy. It's a great example of mutualistic symbiosis in business.

The theory makes some sense...although not supported by proper data...so here is a link to a site that reported the Nielsen Media Research findings on the usage demographics of all three systems.

That it has just become the "thing to do"!?! Just like the "fanboy" craze, hating of HHG and Pachter have become a following of sorts. I get that it is fun to jump in and poke fun of some of the things that HHG says. I am just saying that whether you like it or not...the guy has some connections. He gets some great interviews and some information that can be considered "insider" info.
I understand that HHG is generally panned by N4G. However, I don't under...

I agree somewhat...but I DID want to tell you that if you are referring to Michael Jordan, who I admire as well, then he was also guilty of cheating on his wife. In fact, it was a well hidden fact that he cheated multiple times. I am NOT trying to trash Jordan, or Tiger...or anybody for that matter. Just stating that it was said that this was the cause of his marital problems for years.
