selfish and monetary. If they would have put the development muscle and energy into the early games...PS3 owners wouldn't have had to wait for decent performing games from EA. They thought that they could just ride the coattails of Sony's previous success.
To EA's credit, this DID force them to become a bit more diverse and independent in terms of IP's. Between the acquisition of several dev houses, becoming the go-to publisher, and their own IP's...EA is in a good spot financially. Le...

But I think that Nintendo knew this the whole time. They constructed a console that was inexpensive to build...in order to make more revenues on the sale of the console itself and from day one. That way, software didn't have to make up the gap as much as it does for Sony and MS. They really couldn't afford to be wrong this gen...because of the past gaffs with the Gamecube. Luckily, their gamble worked. Wouldn't think that they will try it again though. It's true that lightening does strike tw...

Actual shortages would suck for Sony. But, the illusion of shortages...that would make PS3 the must have, can't get buy of the season...that might just put a couple million PS3's under the Christmas trees this year.
I noticed that even stores like Wal-Mart and Target have a lot loss of a stockpile than what they had in October. I'm sure that Sony will come through in the nick of time...even if they have to shift allotted units from some other country to the US. There is NO WAY that Sony...

Because video games are still in their infancy,in comparison to other forms of entertainment, people are still learning how to add content in a responsible manner. This particular usage was not the most offensive, but coupled with their prior PSA for grenade spamming, you had to know that somebody would have the fine-toothed comb at the ready.

Maybe to keep the offensive comments to a minimum. My comment was NOT offensive at all. Just a reply to some of the most offensive and blatantly racist language that I have heard on this site. Oh well...

It's funny because these are the gems that I love to mine for in gaming. Yeah...we have our AAA, hyped out of proportion, every critic is gonna crap their pants games. BUT, it is awesome when one of those under appreciated and less hyped games comes out and blows me away. Killzone 2 was the most hyped of these...and it delivered. Batman AA was second most hyped, mostly about a month before release. It also delivered. There are other personal favorites that I gravitated towards that critics an...

It was refreshing in it's gameplay...plus the script actually took me back to when Ghostbusters was the hit summer movie. Theme song was EVERYWHERE...from MTV to the mall arcades. Those were good days!!!*L*

This is why GOD invented TIVO, the DVR, VCR's, etc...I'll just record it and watch the new trailers...screw the awards....really screw the 200,000,000 BK commercials. It will shrink it to about 15-20 minutes of my life as opposed to a couple of hours!*LOL*

That's probably why there aren't too many comments...no flamebait...no controversy...just a good article...who would've thought you would get that at N4G!?!?*LOL*

It's a surprisingly fun game. That being said...it would be in my top 15 games of this year!!! Might inch into a top 20!

I'd have to respectfully disagree with that. As rabid as Xbox 360 gamers are for Gears and Halo...all they really have to do is launch the next version exclusively for their next console and...instant sales. Never underestimate the power of exclusives to sell a console.

I just think that in GTA IV, unlike the others for some odd reason, it is REALLY easy to get burnt out. I know I played it like hell for about a month...then...it just sat there. When the trophy support came for PS3 I went back to it, but it just wasn't as fun. In contrast, I can pop in Liberty City Stories on PSP or San Andreas and have a blast...over and over again. Can't explain it...it is what it is!

As in they couldn't supply a good enough reason for the Japanese to buy one!?!?!/s
Seriously, it was going to be a tough road regardless. Nintendo and Sony have become treasured icons in Japan.

Blaxploitation basically saved the theaters in the 70's. People were not flocking to the movies until Shaft, Big Bad Momma, Coffey, Foxy Brown, Cleopatra Jones, Blackula, etc. were released. They were cheaply made, somewhat entertaining, and funny as hell in retrospect.
They weren't all horrible...look at Cooley High or Uptown Saturday Night (with Bill Cosby not doubt), The Mack (which came to new fame when mentioned in Friday), and finally Superfly (one of the best soundtracks ever). ...

The ONLY thing that would be proved by the 360 being graphically superior is that Tecmo still needs to learn how to code for the PS3! End of story. It all comes down to programming on the PS3 and what tricks you can borrow, steal, or invent to get the most out of the unique architecture.

The first video that didn't have any shooting (on g4 and gametrailers) shows a bit of how the SMART system works. It seems to be somewhat contextual look and press. For example, look down and slide under...or look up and climb over or onto. Should be interesting when it finally releases.

Sony WILL counter with a price cut IF and ONLY IF the 360 starts to cut into the momentum that they are currently gaining.
I agree that MS will probably not repeat this gaff of making a poorly designed system and not correcting itself (in terms of design...not a warranty).
The $400 million on XBL does not really cut into the deficit that MS has incurred with the 360 repairs. It has been estimated, by MS insiders, that it will end up costing them upwards of $3 billion by the end ...
