This might be the BEST year to own a PSP in terms of games. Although GT PSP didn't have a career mode...it was meant for "on-the-go" playing. So, that was a design decision. Having bite-sized racing in the pocket and on the go with the gameplay that you have come to love...I couldn't be happier. I don't know about what console makes money for what store. But, around me (Missouri) both GameStop and Best Buy are pro-Xbox. At one point, right around the time of the PS3 Slim release, GameStop employees were actually getting incentives for selling 360's. That is because the targeted demographic is the same. It is the tweeners with large amounts of disposable income. They are the "gotta have it today" buyers. They are most likely to make impulse buying decisions...which includes going to the movie just because Y actress is HOT and not because a movie is actually worth seeing...or buying X game because everybody is going to buy it (even IF it might not be in their particular gaming interests).
has really never been about 1 system seller. Yes, they have an idea about a product that might move systems. However, they take a more broad approach. They try and release several products to appeal to a wide variety of gaming tastes and not ONLY move systems. Basically, UC2 was made to increase the profile of Sony and it's gaming division. In that it has far exceeded expectations...not to mention moving over half of it's predicted numbers in 2 months.

Don't have the instant sale thing going on. They have long legs and sell decent over time. I usually get my AAA titles day one. But, I know a lot of my friends (I am an older gamer) usually wait until they get paid or have to budget them in. My prediction is that MS will make a price cut right around the time that Natal is released. Plus, they will add the sku that has Natal+360 at the current price. They ARE going for the jugular for sure. They have a very strong line-up (as long as those AAA titles pan out) for hardcore and the upcoming Natal games (with crazy support from devs). But, since there is now a trailer for Halo: Reach...it's fans have become more embolden with claims of graphical superiority. There's still no guarantee that it will look like that, because all of the Halo trailers looked great...but we know what they looked like in-game. That is to say, not close to the trailers.
