Takes me back to when I first started playing the GTA games...even the first ones with the over-the-head view. It is just fun to come up with several different ways to approach things. I LOVE parachuting in any game...and this one takes it to the next level.
But nowhere near the most anticipated...until the demo dropped. I must have played that half hour over 20 times. Each time doing different and more creative kills. I have Heavy Rain, GoW III, and BFBC 2 as well as JC 2. Thus far, I haven't started GoW III, only played the multiplayer in BFBC 2 and trudging through the first couple hours of Heavy Rain (although I am loving it). It's just that JC 2 is mindless fun...no real concern about messing up or which path to take. That said, I KNOW that ...
I'm not even a 360 owner and I can say that Reach will destroy all competition when it comes to pure numbers of players online. I won't kneel down to the altar of Halo...but I will stand back and marvel at it's awesome powers of persuasion.
I actually traded it as soon as I played and beat the single-player and spec ops modes (had played multiplayer mostly since it's release) I don't miss it one bit. Now it's all about BFBC 2 and MAG.
I agree with you. The problem with G4 is that they have moved away from the programming that made them popular with the gaming crowd. They really only have 2 shows that would come close to catering to gamers...and the rest is just filler. I thought that this would be the place to see live gaming tournaments, videogame news casts (could be like N4g...but just with actual hosts), talk shows with devs, even reality shows like The Tester (which is like a train wreck that I can't stop watching)......
I would agree that higher education is over-priced I cannot agree that it is overrated over over-valued. It is possible to make it in a trade, such as carpentry. However, there is also a need for doctors, lawyers, scientists, economists, historians, anthropologists, etc. All of which require study on a long-term basis...i.e. college. As a secondary educator myself, I find it funny that those that do not teach seem to see it as such a menial task...babysitting!?!? I think not. My charge is to ...
But...the fact is that there are 60 million PSP's sold and several titles that have sold 1 million plus units. That's nothing to cry about. Did they make the progress that they wanted. I think so. What people forget is that this is Sony's FIRST handheld. It is going against a company that has a 20 plus year head start in that market. (NIN)Sure, Apple is doing well with their games, but let's be real. That is more a function of the popularity of the iphone more than it is a function of the iph...
I can spend about 3-4 hours and realize that I had barely touched the main storyline. Side plots have been done to death...but the main story is barley advanced.
I don't mind snipers playing as decent scouts...calling out attackers and such. But, I have seen far too many that just hug the periphery and randomly snipe just to get experience. They don't really contribute to the surge...they just sit and kill 5-6 people in 15 minutes. Then...they have the gall to b!tch when we don't win!!!*LOL*
I've gone through the game twice (2 different groups of friends) in co-op! Now, I just need to get them off of BFBC2 (which I love) and MAG so that we can tackle the DLC content. I have HIGH hopes for a sequel!!!
TMI violation!!! I won't call the authorities...I'll just stay REALLY far away from your house!!!*LOL
More like a sandbox of awesomeness! Seriously, if you ever liked the mercenaries series of games. Or if you just like to get into GTA and explore and wreak havoc...then this should be your new game. It is mostly about creatively destroying just about everything that you see...and watching the carnage unfold. I have sunk 4 hours into the game and really haven't taken any missions. I just like playing with the grapple combinations and the parachuting. At this point, I seriously could care less ...
I agree with both of you that knowledge and TRUE salesmanship is what is needed in sales. The RETAIL sales market is a different beast. It's about volume and pressure and corporate demands. The product itself isn't really as important as PUSHING add-ons and extras. I have a friend that is a manager at GameStop and they receive corporate email weekly on what is to be pushed. There are no quotas per se, but I can't count the number of conference calls that he has taken with regional management ...
Did you even READ the bill??? Government run??? NO!!! Just government oversight to regulate the insurance companies...yeah the ones that have raised premiums for the last 5 years straight...made untold billions of dollars...and still plan to raise premiums after reform! The very same companies that are in bed with the pharmaceutical industry...who are in bed with the hospitals. Health Care in America has become a business. In business, if it don't make dollars...it don't make sense. That's un...
Agreed!!! Plus, this was originally slated for PS3...before they decided to just release on 360 and PC. Now, since it tanked, they are trying to recoup some costs. Not mad at them, but STILL probably not going to get it.
Bubble up!!! The crap's crap comment might be the funniest thing that I have heard ALL DAY!!!
are FAR from "God Awful". No, they are not going to win any awards. But, they get the job done. Besides, it's not about the look...it's really about how much fun you can have. The openness and creativity of the parachute and grappling hook makes each mission a challenge just to see how many different ways you have to do it. Maybe not your cup of tea...but the comment "you need some new ideas once again" doesn't really apply here. What other game do you know where you can s...
is what I WANTED from Mercenaries 2!!! I played the demo about 20 times and finally got the game. It is like a summer blockbuster movie. It is all action, little plot, and just plain FUN! I didn't expect some deep and overriding story. I simply just wanted to blow sh!t up!!! This is virtual stress relief! Loving it!
But, then again one could say the same about all of the GTA games, Bully, and the upcoming Red Dead Redemption...but they were all loads of fun (with the exception of Red Dead Redemption which isn't out yet but looks very, very promising.) I'll remain optimistic because they are attempting to bring some variation to the sand box style games (with the investigation aspect).
He tries...really...but to no avail!!! + Bubbles for the laugh!!!
