are enjoying the "BEST gaming experience" I would hope that you are at least a bit put off by the way that MS has handled this issue. You seem to be taking it in stride, as if this is common business practice. That is a scary proposition. No matter what console, you shouldn't have to cater your gaming habit to fit in the issues that the console is plagued with. It's like loving golf and only being able to play 3 holes at a time. Or, loving bowling...but the pin setter can only reall...
There is no singular game worth the price of a console...I don't care which one is your favorite. However, if you have sunk thousands of dollars into consoles, games, and peripherals...that is a totally different issue. I can understand why people are hesitant to abandon their console of choice if they were early adopters of the technology because by then they would have amassed a large library of games and peripherals and would be out a significant amount of money to make the switch. That be...
If somebody were to actually release the game at a lower price. Then Amazon is really good at matching that price. When K-Mart offered Just Cause 2 for $45, Amazon promptly sent me an extra $15 gift card...to offset the price change. So...because of that...and previous gift card incentives...I'll be getting Red Dead Redemption for a whopping $2.48!!! Loving Amazon right now!!!
So...you are blaming your experience of being black (i.e., being followed and profiled) on other black people? I agree there are some ignorant black people that ruin it for us all. However, there are also ignorant white people, and Hispanics, and Jews, and Asians, and Native Americans, and....I could go on and on. Ignorance doesn't have a color requirement. It is not YOUR fault, or the fault of other black people that you are followed. It is an amalgamation of ridiculous and ever present ster...
Although the responses might be "legit" they often don't add to the conversation and are really just an attempt to marginalize the discussion at hand.
IF you got the FULL story from the Harvard professor situation, which if it was on FOX news...it's highly unlikely. It wasn't that the man was upset because he was being stopped for going in to his own house. The fact was that he was denied the opportunity to provide PROOF that he belonged. He had proper ID...pictures on the wa...
BUT...the major problem...at least that I am having, is the fact that a year subscription is $60. Now, that is not horrible since we know that a launch title on a console is about the same price. However, that in itself is the issue. I could just as well go out and get the console release, which includes an online portion very similar to what we have here...minus microtransactions, for the SAME price...if not cheaper. Won't be getting a full membership anytime soon...but I will continue to pl...
I recently decided to dust off my copy of All Pro Football 2k8 for sh!ts and giggles. This was after reading about the "new" changes coming to the next Madden (all about receivers and catches). All that I have to say is that the Visual Concepts (the devs) were years ahead of their time. It wasn't perfect, but it WAS a fun game of football. I had Madden this year and it was just frustrating to see that it hadn't evolved as much as I might have thought. I can't wait for someone to cha...
spoken from the guy with the Halo avatar...wait...that didn't fit there...oh well...*LOL*
between perceived arrogance in advertising and arrogance as a company. Competition in advertising campaigns breeds the comparison commercials. Look at the Coke vs. Pepsi wars, The car companies and their comparisons on gas mileage, MAC vs. PC, even Burger King and McDonald's are going at it over which one has the best $1 double cheeseburger. IMO, it is the actions of the company that makes it arrogant and not a commercial that claims that it is superior for whatever reason.
Gotta agree with the wall of text...yes I read it. The real issue is treading that thin line between confidence and arrogance. Each of the major companies has, at one time or another, crossed that line and became arrogant.
I also agree with your purchase strategy...simply because looking at costs during PS3 launch I would be paying about the same (feature for feature) if not MORE for a 360 AND not have my PS2 back catalog to play (since I traded the PS 2 and several games for a PS3...o...
I never heard that about the devil and dinosaur bones, but I wouldn't be surprised...not in the least!!! *LOL*
You have programs designed to take the role of teachers out of education, much like the health care industry has replaced many doctors with Physician's Assistants and Nurse Practicianers. Yes it will decrease costs, but is it as effective? I don't have issues with supplementary education tools...as long as they truly benefit the educational process. School budgets are strained as it is, so we divert funds that could provide for programs that provide proper health and physical fitness educatio...
Even worse than that...a lot of the textbooks that the REST of America uses are published in Texas. As an educator of science in Missouri...I have a hard time even trying to teach because of the ignorance (in the true since of the word...meaning lack of overall knowledge) that the students have concerning aspects of evolution theory. I actually had a student try to debunk the entire theory by stating..."I don't believe in evolution or science because I don't believe dinosaurs existed...t...
was the only one that was a bit excited about more Jimi Hendrix music. Yeah, I know that people aren't really into the music games as much, but giving me more Jimi just makes me wanna pick up the plastic guitar and the lighter fluid...and we all know what's next!?!?! *LOL*
I believe that DICE is offering FREE VIP codes if you sign up for community updates or Twitter account stuff...something like that. Anyway, I wouldn't have an issue with DICE charging those that decided to buy used copies or rent the game...so that they can continue to get something for the great work that they put in.
It's hard to be taken seriously as a female gamer without this type of stuff...yeah gamers are gamers...but female gamers do struggle with being taken seriously...until they own someone!*LOL* (oh...and I am NOT female...I just game with some)
Any parent that get's this $5 needs to use it to buy a clue. Perhaps starting with the title Grand Theft Auto (a felony offense mind you) might have provided a clue. Then, of course, there was the media coverage of the previous games. Finally, there is a nice little ratings system in place for those that are unsure. At the end of the day, there is FAR worse stuff on cable and regular TV than the "Hot Coffee" MOD. On second thought...split that fiver in half...$2.50 to the parents an...
I think that it is. At least that is what I have been told by others in the BFBC 2 community. Either way, I can't wait for more...plus FREE is always good (unless it's an STD!!! *LOL*).
you can be a fan...without being fanatical or a fanboy. I think a LOT of fanboy nonsense is out of boredom or a sad and desperate cry for attention. Either way, I try not to bite. On occasion I fail...but I try nonetheless!
The platformer was the go-to genre for last couple of generations. If you didn't have a platform mascot...you weren't a major player. Now, however, the paradigm has shifted toward the FPS genre. Newer gamers (read younger) are not as interested in platformers because they see them as childish and simplistic and they usually don't showcase the graphical capabilities of the console. Thus, companies will basically go where the quick and easy money is...which is to say the shooter. The only way t...
